New Album Out Now!

Hey Guys!

We've been MIA for awhile, but we're back! We got a new record out on Hooked on Records called Defeated.  You can go hear it right now and the record (Robin Egg's Blue and Screenprinted!) is available for purchase. There were huge delays with the vinyl record, and it put a lot of our plans in disarray (hence the reason we've been off the map) but now that its out we plan to get out as much as possible and play for you guys.

Brooklyn, NY punk-rockers Man The Change are excited to announce their newest release, the Defeated 12″, is now up for Pre-Order from Hooked On Records. Quickly following upFaded, the band’s May 2012 digital EP, Defeated promises a sharper edge to Man The Change’s brand of melodic hardcore.

The Defeated 12″ is limited to 500 pressed on Translucent, Robin’s Egg Blue vinyl. The 12″ will be one-sided with a screen printed B-side. The pre-order will come with an immediate download of the Faded EP as well as the first track off ofDefeated. You can choose from four different Pre-Order bundles which includes limited items such as a deluxe 16 page booklet/insert, screen printed poster and an exclusive tee shirt as well.

Crisscrossing through multiple layers of the punk genre like a couple of girls playing double-dutch, Brooklynites Man the Change made a splash in 2011 with their first full-length Weather The Storm. With an energy that only exists in bands that truly love what they’re doing, Man the Change encompasses the melodic qualities of pop-punk while pairing them with nitty-gritty vocals that growl and grind their way through every verse. This is a taste of the other side for listeners; hardcore kids can wean themselves off aggression and into melody, while the more poppy at heart can test the waters of something a little heavier. Whatever your poison, chances are Man the Change will hit the spot.

The Skinny: Brooklyn, New York punk quartet (quintet if you count Rambo, from whom they draw their inspiration), came together in 2009 with one simple aim, to create and release straightforward, no BS punk rock and get it out to truckloads of music-loving people. Well, with this goal in mind they've kept hella-busy, already having released 3 EPs in the past few years alone - each of which are available for free download on the guys' Bandcamp page. The latest effort, the 3 song EP titled Faded, was released on May 1st and was recorded with producer Jeff Berner at Galuminum Foil in Brooklyn. With this album, the band hit a new stride and produced their most energetic and emotional songs to date. With a nice combination of old school emo vocals and 90s skate punk, Faded hints at a more polished sound and refined writing. Everything is going great for this band, and they'd agree as they're already writing new music for another release due in the coming months.
