The Possession of the Funtime Animatronics
It is possible for the Funtime animatronics to become possessed. However, due to the fact that they are highly advanced artificial intelligence with their own personalities, it would be much more difficult for a spirit to take control of them than it would an ordinary animatronic.
Funtime Freddy is possessed by the spirits of dozens of children he has killed over the course of many years. Due to his aggressive, overbearing personality, none of them have ever been able to take any sort of control over him, and are simply trapped, silently attached to his mechanical body with seemingly no way out.
Circus Baby only ever killed one child: Elizabeth Afton. The combination of Baby’s naturally passive personality and Elizabeth’s unusually strong will caused a more complicated situation. There were two sides to Baby, and she spent many years sad and confused, not understanding who she was or what had happened to her. However, seeing and speaking to who she believed to be William Afton caused her to remember things more clearly. Elizabeth began to take more control, and soon Baby found a purpose and a goal: to do what she was created to do, and make her father proud.
Neither Funtime Foxy nor Ballora ever managed to fulfill their intended purpose, and thus are not possessed.

An internet search for “Reluctant Follower” will bring up a true crime blog focused mainly on Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and the never-proven-guilty-but-now-widely-accepted-to-have-been-guilty serial killer who committed his crimes there, William Afton. It seems the name “Reluctant Follower” is meant to represent one of the victims who reluctantly followed Afton to their death.
The blog has not been updated in a few years, though. Perhaps the author found something better to do with her time?
