genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back

For cute fat dating moments: I had this coworker I became really good friends with. After I left that job we kept hanging out a ton and I developed a big crush on him. I was absolutely sure it was not mutual, though. I'm fat. Not like plus size model fat, I mean fat fat. So someone wanting to date me seemed impossible. We were just going to be really good friends and that was that.

One day I invite all my best friends over for a game night. The original plan was for it to be an overnight thing, but apparently all my other friends missed that memo and went home at like 10pm, so it was just me and my former coworker alone for the whole night.

My imagination was going wild, but then I'd remember we were talking about me and exciting, sexy things don't happen to girls like me, you know? So I did my best to ignore all that and just have a good time with my friend.

We watched a movie for a while, but I kept falling asleep on him so finally I was like, "Man, I should probably go to bed."

And he's like, "Yeah, that's a good idea."

So I ask him if he wants me to show him where the guest bed is and he says, "not really, no" and kisses me. We keep kissing until he takes my hand and starts leading me back to my bedroom aaaand the rest is history. Turns out he had also been pining for months, but was afraid to fuck up our friendship. But then I spent an entire movie sleepily cuddling him and it was driving him crazy, so he decided to go for it.

A very wild night for a 25 year old woman who had never even been kissed before and had already fully come to terms with the fact that I was definitely going to die an unlovable virgin. Six years later we're still going strong. Apparently fortune telling isn't my strong suit. :P

So I was watching this old video again because the new Good Omens season triggered my obsession with Neil Gaiman's stories that creeps up periodically ( and his voice is soothing to listen to while I draw) And at about 1:25:30 there's a part that really made me giggle, cause this is what he says when asked about themes in his work:

"I remember once somebody asked me about the kiss that would occur in my books three quarters of the way through, to indicate that we were now moving into act three. And I said 'what'. And they said 'well you must be conscious of it, you do it every time.'"

And I mean...
