A woman walked into the room where the ghoulies and serpents were preparing to fight. As soon as she appeared, the ghoulies stopped what they were doing. Malachai began to smile when she came towards him. The serpents appeared incredibly confused. “Nobu,” He sighed, looking dazed. He was soon shocked out of his stupor when she pushed him onto the couch. She had a knee either side of his legs as she gripped his neck. “Did you really think I wouldn’t hear about any of this? What were you thinking?” She scolded, “Fighting the serpents, attacking Pop’s, dealing drugs. You told someone to throw a Molotov at you, and for what?” Malachai swallowed nervously, his Adam's apple pressing against her palm. She let go of his throat and pulled his hair so he was looking up at her. It was his que to speak. He looked like he was about to cry, “I’m sorry, mi reina. I wasn’t thinking, I was bored without you here” She nodded, letting go of his hair. She kissed his hairline causing him to melt under her touch. He pulled her to sit on his lap before she turned to address the others. “I will deal with you kids later” The ghoulies all cringed at her tone of voice, “Who are you, serpents? How much do we owe you for the damages?” “I’m Jughead Jones and this is Toni Topaz. We’re in charge” “Malachai! You’ve been beating up teenagers? They can’t be any older than Sarai, what would your grandmother think?” “Please don’t tell her, bonita” “Evolve or die.
