In my hc and through my makoharu filter, I always thought the reason why haru felt so competitive when he first met rin was he saw how makoto was so drawn to rin. Haru was sort of like "what's up with this guy" while rin definitely grabbed makoto's heart. Is haru afraid of someone stepping in between him and makoto?

It's sort of like how kisumi cozied up with makoto so effortlessly in hsp and haru is still jealous of kisumi till this day.

The staff talk just proved that I was right all along. Makoto did had a thing for Rin when they first met! It's not just haru, but also makoto
