i think that the people who are complaining about the athena/jody threat match on aew dark have never seen women fight in their lives
#athena is very good at making her hits look like they hurt#maybe she’s a bit stiff idk but when a male wrestler works stiffly nobody complains#and jody is clearly okay#athena hits her with an elbow close to the beginning of the match and they check in with each other#and she’s fine#and after the guardrail spot they talk as well#and jody taps her leg against athenas#pats her thigh#and is quite literally smiling#ofc not every single person who watches wrestling is going to know the lil communication tactics between wrestlers#but if you don’t#then shut the fuck up#they simply do not like to see women having intense matches
