I'm glad she can start to see how beautiful she is the way she is

I have gained 10 pounds this year. My stomach is nowhere near flat. I have huge hips. In every picture I take of myself I will try to hide it in some way or another. I am not hiding it here. It’s okay that I’m not skinny. It’s okay that I don’t have a model’s body. It’s okay that I can grab my stomach and hips and there’s something there. And coming to terms with that is a pretty fucking big deal to me. I’m done fighting with food. I’m done restricting myself because of my eating disorder. I’m done trying to fit the impossible image of my body that’s in my head. I’m going to try harder than ever to love myself because I’m so worth it. I’m beautiful no matter what the scale says. I’m important no matter what I eat. Posting these pictures is hard because there is nothing hiding here. Something I’ve learned is that you have to love yourself first. You are so valuable and nothing the mirror does will change that. Please learn to love yourselves because after four hard years I’m ready to start loving myself again.
