Final Assignment #13
Write a blog post about the most useful information you learned this semester.
Why was this information useful to you?
The useful thing that I learned about was definitely in regards to using templates.  I often forget that there is most likely a template that I can use for any possible type of spreadsheet, word document, or presentation, but I hardly use them.  Now, revisiting the usefulness of templates, I use them frequently for academic and personal reasons.  I even recently downloaded the budgeting google sheet to keep track of my finances!
How have you incorporated this information into your life?
As I said before, I now use a budgeting template to keep track of my finances.  Now that I work two jobs, pay rent, buy groceries, etc., I need a better way to keep track of what I’m spending.  There are so many templates out there that can be used for any scenario!
Will you continue to use this information after this semester?
Absolutely I will! I can’t wait to take advantage of more templates in my future!

Final Assignment #12
Write a blog post detailing the cross compatibility issues we encountered with Spreadsheets and Presentations this semester.
What were common errors?
Most of the times, the errors occurred when converting between OpenOffice and any other application.
How were they resolved?
They weren’t entirely resolved, but we were told why they occurred; it was because OpenOffice wasn’t as strong of a
Was there any consistency in the errors and solutions?
Yes; formatting between templates was always consistent, and the root of the cause almost always OpenOffice
Cite specific examples.
For example, the formatting of template slides in OpenOffice does not translate at all to PowerPoint.  When we tried doing so, most people could not format their presentations to look how they wanted them to look.

My honest opinions on Minecraft
Honestly, I still have no clue what I am doing when it comes to Minecraft.  I finally figured out how to build after not being able to figure it out for a long time, but even then, it only works for me when I’m a part of a certain server.  Otherwise, it can feel like I’m just chopping at everything while nothing around me is happening! I personally find it difficult, especially when not in the creative mode. My frustrations aside, I can understand why people would consider it to be a popular game.  The genius of the game lies in the simplicity; the graphics haven’t changed much, and the basic premise has remained constant, but that simplicity allows for so much growth and creativity.  Even though this class has not converted me into a Minecraft player (even though I’m part of “The Minecrafters,”) I can understand why it is still the #1 game to this day.
