Hmm, I take your point, and please understand that I'm speaking quite emotionally and from a first viewing. I still don't see how Crowley could forgive him and not be a doormat. Their relationship will always be unequal now. Aziraphale has had so many chances to pick Crowley, and he always messes it up. At this point in the story, he's totally unworthy of Crowley. The only way I could ever accept them being together is if Aziraphale got a serious taste of his own medicine and had Crowley reject him (deservedly) outright. He's got a lot to atone for, in my eyes.

I don't even know if I want a season three at this point. Of course, Neil can write a story where Crowley forgives Aziraphale for this, but I don't know if it could ever feel earned? Crowley deserves better anyway. Like...... this isn't a small mistake or misunderstanding. Crowley laid his heart out on the table, and Aziraphale rejected it, and in quite a cruel way. Aziraphale deserves to never see him again, tbh. That's what he chose.
