1940s 9-inch Diameter Column, 9-Speed American Hole Wizard Radial Drill by American Tool Works of Cincinnati, OH. Hoisting instructions at the end. The version with a 4-foot arm weighed 6,850 lbs.
This model had an elevating nut wear indicator. A pointer at the top of the nut exactly matches the edge of the thread on elevating screw when the nut is new. As wear occurs on the nut an offset between the pointer and the thread appears, growing wider as the wear continues.
