Chan's dream takes him back to hundreds of years ago. He's dressed in a suit, with a grape coloured waistcoat and jacket complete with tails. He was a nobleman in that society, renowned for his politeness and generosity. Chan had come out to visit the local market, wanting to buy some ingredients for his latest bake and was currently walking around the market, perusing the produce available. He'd bought all the necessary ingredients but kept wandering around to enjoy the warm energy of the community. He tipped his hat at whoever greeted him and spoke with the old lady he'd befriended at the bakery about his new pie recipe before reaching a small flower stall. He looks at the table that's decked out with both cut, singular flowers and pre-made bouquets full of "The season's best tulips" the sign tells him.

"Maybe these would be nice on the windowsill" he thinks to himself, before greeting her.

"Hello ma'am, how much for these tulips?" He asks.

"Oh it's quite alright sir! I have to get rid of all of these today you see, they won't be fresh tomorrow. So please, help yourself!" She says brightly.

He notices her appearance, a light blue gown that's nothing remarkable and a small necklace around her neck from which hangs a little sunflower locket. Her hair is up, tied in a bun so it doesn't bother her in this heat. He chuckles softly as a few flyaways float into her eyes regardless and nods in understanding at her words before carefully chooses his flowers, noticing that the florist had turned to quickly arrange a few more bouquets. He smiles and leaves a few coins, probably too much, on the table and thanks her quietly before leaving with a bouquet of yellow tulips.

The next day, Chan comes back to the market. For no particular reason this time, he just enjoys being away from his manor for a bit. He finds himself going to the same flower stall again. Once there he browses the table, "Today she's selling roses" he thinks, "Would be nice in the drawing room."

The florist smiles happily, "Oh hello sir! I saw that you paid me yesterday, you really didn't need to. You paid too much as well" she says, pausing to think for a second.

"How about today, you take these white roses without paying, and I'll even make up a bouquet of them, with a few red roses too!" She smiles at him.

"Sounds like a fair deal to me ma'am" Chan chuckles and watches her put together his bouquet, making sure to only choose to best flowers. She grabs a long piece of ribbon and ties it prettily before handing the somewhat large bouquet to him.

"Will you be coming tomorrow sir? It'll be hydrangeas and gladioli tomorrow" she smiles.

He nods "Having fresh flowers everyday really does brighten up my home. I will, Miss..." He pauses since he doesn't know her name.

"Oh apologies, I'm Hwang Aera" she says holding out her hand.

"Miss Aera. I'm Bang Chan" he replies, giving her hand a shake. Her hands are softer than you'd think for someone who works with thorns and leaves all day.

Once the two had conversed a bit more, he helps her pack up her stall and leaves for the day putting his bouquet in the drawing room vase.

Everyday in the following two weeks, Chan would go and purchase flowers from Aera, getting to know her slowly through smalltalk and smiles. She has a shop, he finds out, but like to sell in the market whenever she has extras. Once finishing her day at the market, she works at the shop, completing bigger orders for weddings and events.

The next day he goes out to her stall to find it empty. He asks the next stall owner who informs him she hadn't come today and that she would likely be in the town garden.

"Oh" he says and thanks the vendor before heading there. To his surprise, Aera is there painting a large canvas with her view of the pond and the fish in it. He smiles as he watches from afar. She looks peaceful, and her hair is pinned back slightly. He's never seen its full length before and he finds it to be quite beautiful. The sun makes is glow, as does her skin, he thinks to himself. It takes a few minutes before he realises he's staring. He shakes it off and decides to sit next to her.

It was brought to my attention today was my turn posting one of these 😅 Sorry it's coming so late! Channie is kinda messy even with schedules.

Ah, I'm not one to take lots of selfies! I hope this one does the work. Hm, this week has been eventful! My beautiful baby sister, Haneullie, had her baby! I'm really excited to meet her to hold her for the first time. I was never in charge of cubs back in my old pack, but I'll try my best for this little petal. Isn't it crazy? I mean, pregnancies. Women are certainly incredible... Some amazing new projects came through too this week, I'm really excited to work on some of those! And hopefully you'll like them too! Been thinking maybe I should start sharing some of my works haha would you guys like that? Also, my boyfriend is right now going through something called "Hunger Games", apparently. I'm a tiny bit worried but I trust he'll come back safe whenever he does. Please support him!

Anyway, I think that's this week's recap. I hope your week was great and that you can use the weekend to relax and recharge batteries. Remember to take the time to look after yourselves, breathe and look around, realize where you stand, what you're giving out and what you deserve. It's ok to prioritize yourself and your wellbeing sometimes, don't take your body and mind for granted.

Thanks to the both of you!

And, surprise! Quite the work I have with creativity, no? It's difficult, and, given how long I've been in this profession, there has been many bumps in the road. And honestly, this advice can apply to anything dealing with creativity. What usually works for me is having and surrounding myself with numerous inspirations! Like for example, music.

Music is the largest inspiration and motivation for me! When it comes to meaningful lyrics or portrayals, whatever I interpret, I apply it to my work from writing, to photography. Another is actually stepping back from it. I can't necessarily force myself with an idea, so, instead, I become very opened and take numerous things from my life to piece the missing bits. From conversations, gaming, exploration, and even research or movies and series!

Another helpful tip? Sometimes moments in my life or from experiences, using it as another big element for my work. Even if it isn't something very happy or light-hearted, the beauty of it is being able to portray the reality of it úwù

Once you've dived too deep within this pathway, the ending is inevitable. You have lost her. She has become a red garden, flowers radiant, but thorns so sharp and so deadly. Her love will have become nothing, and there will be nothing left to save. Where flowers blossom, below them will be her resting grounds.
