It’s the Start of Something New
Dave Rossi x Reader
Based of S5 E21
Word Count: 436
Warnings: age gap (idk if that’s a warning), fluff, (let me know if anything else)
You were currently out to dinner with your boyfriend David Rossi.. The two of you had been dating for several months. You didn’t tell most of his co-workers about your relationship because of the age difference. You are 24 while he is 37 (I am making it up.) It wasn’t the biggest difference in the world but it is still a big gap.
Dave’s phone started to go off. “No, please tell me that is not someone from the team,” you said. “I’m sorry Amore. I gotta case,” Dave said. “Come on, I'll drop you off.”
He drove up to your apartment. “I love you,” you said. “Love you too,” he said.
David made it to the BAU shortly after dropping you off. He was still in his suit and tie when he walked into the meeting room. “Whoa,” Emily Prentiss said. “What, are you working on wife number 4?” Derek Morgan said. “I see you people way too much. And besides, she isn’t my wife yet.” “Yet?” Derek asked. “Who is this woman?” Emily asked.
TIME SKIP
The team was on the airplane headed back to Quantico. David had texted you a little bit earlier. You had decided today was the day you would meet his co-workers. You drove your car to Quatico and you were now sitting at JJ’s desk. The team walked.
“Hey guys, who is that?” you heard Emily ask. “Hey Y/N,” Aaron Hotchner said. “Hey Hotch. How was the case?” you asked. “It-” Aaron started. “No, no more talking about work. I am leaving. She is leaving, We are leaving. We have plans that don’t involve any of you,” Dave said, walking up to you. “Did you miss me that much?” You asked, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Yes, and I owe you dinner.” “We said we would tell everyone. So offer to make dinner for everyone. I went shopping while you were gone so we have stuff for dinner,” you told him. “I think that is a wonderful idea,” Derek said. “I hate you,” Dave said, kissing you. “You love me.”
Two hours later the team was sitting around your table getting to know you, enjoying Dave’s cooking. “So, how did you meet?” Penelope Garcia asked. “I went to one of his book signings.” “Oh my gosh, that's so cute,” she said. “Yeah.” Dave made eye contact with you and smiled. “So-” you start. “So Y/N what do you do for work?” Emily asks. “Oh I am a photographer for the Washington Capitals.” “Oh fun.”
The rest of the night was spent talking and enjoying Dave’s coworkers.

A/N: lowkey kinda in love with a David Rossi. So I wrote this. Enjoy!

I’m Always Here - Part 6
Word Count: 4596
Warnings: language (duh), abuse (Not Travy), throwing up, preterm labor, lots of medical talk
You woke up the next morning with Travis wrapped around you.
“Morning babe, I gotta go grocery shopping today.” You mumbled.
“I can do that,” he said.
“No you can’t”
“I’ll drive?”
“Fine, but you get to wake up Miss Sassy.”
“Got it.”
He went to get up and you stopped him.
“What, pretty girl?”
“We don’t have to get up just yet.”
He nodded.
“Babe my vision just went blurry.”
“Ok, just breathe. Just hold on.”
You nodded. “Travy I’m really scared.”
“I know I’m right here.”
Travis grabbed his phone calling her doctor.
“Hello? Yeah, this is Travis Kelve, my wife is Y/N Y/L/N. Her vision just went blurry.”
You were scared. You’ve never had this happen.
“Ok, the doctor said to just lay down, take deep breaths, wait 10 minutes if it doesn’t pass then head into the ER.”
——
10 minutes later
Travis walked into the room.
“It go away?” He asked, grabbing your hand.
“Yeah, I’m ok.”
“Oh thank the lord.”
You laughed. He sat down on the bed.
“I invited Jason and mom over.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. I guess I thought they could come over and watch football.”
“Oh that’s right. I forgot it was Jason’s bye week too.”
“Avery loves him so you won’t be bothered. Kylie will be here.”
“I love her, I would divorce you and marry her. We agreed on this.”
“You can’t divorce me. We aren’t even married yet.”
“Well, as soon as we get married I’m divorcing you for Kylie.”
“I think you would have to get Jase to agree with that too.”
“He’d be ok with that.”
Travis laughed, “You two are meant to be sister in laws.”
“Duh? Don’t you think so?”
There was a knock on the door. Travis walked over and opened it, seeing his brother Jason, his sister-in-law Kylie, and his nieces Wyatt, Elliot, and Bennett.
“Where’s Momma Kelce?” You asked.
“She’s coming. She said she needed to run by the store,” Kylie stated.
“Oh no,” Travis said.
“What?”
“She’s probably gonna walk in with some type of gift for Avs,” Travis said.
“Speaking of which, where is my favorite niece?” Jason questioned.
As if on cue Avery came running to Jason.
“Hey Avs. How are you?”
“I good Uncle J.”
“That’s good kiddo.”
“Uncle J, you wanna see something cool?”
“What’s that kiddo?”
“My baby brother’s room.”
Avery dragged Jason up the stairs to the office, now Grayson’s room.
Travis walked up there, “I did it all by myself, j. She cried on me man. This was once my office ya know.”
“So let me get this straight. You had no help from anyone else?”
“Nope! I did it all on my own. With the help of Y/N’s pinterest.”
Jason laughed.
“It looks good lil bro.”
“Thanks I have everything organized in the drawers and closet. I wanted her to not be overwhelmed.”
“Since when do you know how to organize anything?”
“Look for yourself.”
Jason started opening drawers, nodding his head.
“I’m proud of the way you turned yourself around for her. She is so much happier with you than she was with Sam.”
“How do you know how she was when she was with Sam?”
“She called me one night crying.”
“What did she say?”
“Nothing.”
“Jason, what the fuck did she say?”
He sighed, “she didn’t want me saying anything.”
“I don’t care what she doesn’t want right now.”
“He hit her. A couple weeks before you and her one-night stand. She said he came home drunk one night, Avery was with her parents. And she said he called her some things, and hit her.”
“How bad?”
“Busted lip and nose she sent pictures to Kylie. It was bad. He probably hit her before that too.”
“Why didn’t you fucking tell me?”
“Because she asked me not to.”
“So?”
“Travis, I didn’t tell you, because you probably would’ve killed him.”
“True. I was a hot head. I’m just glad she’s okay now. But her pregnancy has been hell.” He sighed.
“Yeah, I know. She called Ky the other night crying.”
“It is just that everything has gone wrong.”
“Kylie is trying to reassure her, Ky told me that Y/N wanted a pedicure and a massage.”
“Maybe I’ll take her to do that on Tuesday.”
“You should. But you should also ask about Sam.”
“Hey fellas.” They heard.
“Hey baby,” Travis said.
“Whatcha talking about?”
Travis nodded his head towards Jason.
“Manly things.”
“Sure, I can only imagine.” You laughed.
“Can we talk?” Travis asked her.
“Ok?”
Travis pulled you into your bedroom.
“I need you to be 100% honest with me about something.”
 “Ok? What’s up?”
“Did Sam ever physically hurt you?”
“How do you know about that?” you backed up.
“Y/N just answer the fucking question. Did Sam ever hit you?”
“Yeah…”
“How often?”
“I’m not telling you.”
“Y/N how often?”
“Daily,” you mumbled hoping he didn’t hear you.
He did.
“Did Jason tell you?”
He was silent.
“Did Jason fucking tell you!”
‘Yes, but only just now. He didn’t tell me until today.”
“He wasn’t supposed to tell you.”
You turned away and he touched your shoulder.  He pulled you into his arms.
“He only told me because he wants to make sure you are ok.”
You started to sob.
“I’m sorry. I should’ve told you.”
“No, it’s ok. I’m just glad you told me now.”
“Avery didn’t see anything.” You sobbed into his chest, you were trying to calm down.
“Y/N/N, baby, it’s ok. He can’t hurt you anymore. I promise. I will keep you safe.”
You nodded and wiped your eyes with your hands.
“I love you. Do you know that? I love you, Avery, and our little baby. I will be here for the rest of time.”
“I love you so much Travis. You’re becoming a father every day and I’m so proud of you.” You smiled.
“I’m trying my hardest. But I feel like I am failing.”
“You aren’t failing travis. You are learning.”
He nodded.
“You’re growing. Learning is good. Means you’re not at a stand still.”
He nodded and kissed you passionately.
“Now let’s go back downstairs and enjoy your brother and his family.”
Travis guided you out of the room. You began gagging immediately running to the bathroom, your face in the toilet throwing up.
“Baby, what’s wrong?”
“Your brother made food.”
“And the odor?” He asked you.
You nodded dry heaving.
“Ok, hold on. Stay here.”
Travis ran out of the room.
Travis ran into the other room where everyone was.
You were hugging the toilet afterwards. This was awful. You felt bad.
“Hey guys, she is super sensitive to scents right now. So is there any way you guys can attempt to get the scent out and not cook anything.”
“Oh my good, yeah I’m so sorry J, didn’t even think.”
Travis went back upstairs and found you in bed. You looked rough.
“Are you ok baby?”
“I don’t know. I feel so bad. I just wish this was over so I could go back to normal.”
“Baby this is normal. It’s ok. You don’t need to feel bad.”
You leaned over and began puking in the bucket. Travis rubbed your back. You hated this.
——
You woke up the next morning. You had no idea how long you had been asleep, but Travis wasn’t next to you in bed.
“Trav?” You asked out loud, wondering where he was.
You walked down to the living room. You saw Travis and Avery cuddled up on the couch watching Aladdin.
“Good morning Mama,” Travis said.
“Mommy,” Avery yelled.
“Avery baby don’t yell mama has been sick.”
“I’m sorry mommy.”
“It’s ok baby.”
You walked over to Travis as he pulled you onto the couch and you laid your head down in his lap as he ran his fingers through your hair.
“Don’t you have a podcast today with Jason?” You asked.
“Yeah but not until 11. I have an hour and a half left to spend with my girls. Before he takes my full attention for 4 hours.”
“4 hours?”
This was the first time Travis would be recording the podcast at your house. He had kept his house in the Briarcliff neighborhood, and he would go back every time he would need to film. Until last friday when he moved all the equipment into the basement.
“Yeah, it’s four hours.”
“Okay I can manage.” You say.
“I was actually going to ask you something.”
“Oh gosh what?”
He looked at you.
“Travis, it better not be weird or I swear-“
“I want you to be on the podcast today. Well Jason and I want you to.”
“Why? I’m normally not on it.”
“I know. But we wanted to make this episode all about you. Like we did with Kylie.”
“Fine, I'll join.”
“Yay! J is so excited.”
“I’d say.”
——
About two hours later you heard Travi announce your name and you sat down next to him on the couch.
“Hey Jason.” You smiled sitting down grabbing Travis’s hand, “How are you?”
“Good. How’s the baby? Can we announce the gender yet?”
“Baby Kelce is good, but we were going to see if you wanted to say it,” Travis said.
“I’m texting it to you right now Jason.” You said.
“Ok.” he waited a minute until the text came in.
“Introducing Grayson Kelce, middle name yet to be decided.”
“Yeah we can’t agree on that one,” you said.
“Oh boy that’s tough.” Jason chuckled.
“I know.” Travis smiled.
“I liked my idea,” you said.
“We will talk about it later,” Travis chuckled.
You sat for about another hour. Jason kept asking more questions.
“We got a shout out at the Chiefs game yesterday,” Travis says.
“What?” Jason asks.
“Huh?” You asked, “ what?”
“Tony Loma, shouted Y/N on National television. A cameraman panned up to my suite, and the only thing you can see is Y/N/N trying to wrestle Avery, who is hanging upside down by Bradley. Bradley Cooper, Y/N’s brother for those who don’t know–” Travis gets cut off but Jason.
“You did not just refer to Bradley fucking Cooper as Y/N/N’s brother.” Jason asked.
“He’s my brother jay.” You smiled and rubbed your belly.
“Yeah but he is Bradley mother-fuckin’ Cooper. He sang with Lady gaga.”
You got up not feeling too good. Your stomach was tight. You went upstairs to get on the couch. You could still hear Travis in the basement.
“Alright guys that is all we got for today.”
“Don’t forget to subscribe on Youtube, and wherever you get your podcasts,” Jason said.
You heard Travis ascending up the stairs.
“What’s wrong baby?”
“I don’t know. I just started cramping really bad.”
You grabbed his hand and put it on your belly which he felt it tighten up. All of a sudden the couch became soaked.
“Oh my fucking god. Did your water just break?”
“No, wait, maybe. But it shouldn’t have. I am only 29 weeks.” You started to freak out as you grabbed Travis’s hand again.
—-
Travis got you to the hospital and they had you hooked up to several machines. Travis was on his phone.
“Baby, will you come over here please?” You asked Travis.
“I’m sorry. But my mom just texted me saying Avery just laid down for a nap. I just wanted to respond. I am coming to you right now.”
“Ok. Is she being good for Donna?”
“As always.” He smiled.
“I just want a shower so bad.” You groan.
“I know, baby.”
“I’m scared. He’s too early. I’m not ready. I can’t do this. He won’t be ok.”
“The doctors are going to take care of him.”
“But I’m-“
“Honey, he will be ok. You Will be ok. The doctors will keep the two of you safe.”
The nurse walked into the room and checked the machines. She checked the baby heart monitor.
“Ok everything seems to be ok, but your blood pressure is up. So let’s try and calm down a little.”
“She just got worked up, like 20 seconds before you came in. She is just scared. She has severe anxiety normally, so this is not helping.”
You leaned into Travis’s shoulder. You hated this nurse. She was rude. And she had been flirting with Travis, right in front of you.
“I’m sorry, can I have a new nurse, I just can’t right now.”
“Um-I guess. But now you are gonna have to do this all over again.”
“Yeah, at this point I am ok with that, because you are a bitch.”
“I’m sorry about her–” Travis said.
“No, don’t be sorry about me. She is. Please leave.”
The nurse left and Travis looked at you. You rolled your eyes not caring. An older nurse walked in.
“Travis?”
“Hey Rachel.” He smiled.
“Rachel? You two know each other?”
“I’m a friend of his moms.” She smiled.
“Oh ok.”
“Yeah, Donna and I have talked about you before. How are you doing?”
“Besides being in preterm labor. Somewhat good.”
She chuckled, “okay I’m going to examine you and see what’s going on.”
“Do what you gotta do.” You replied.
“It looks like you are ready to push. Let me go get the doctor.”
——
3 hours later, Grayson Daniel Kelce is in the NICU, hooked up to too many machines, according to you. And you had just been wheeled into the OR. You had started bleeding and doctors couldn’t stop it in your room.
Travis was in the waiting room and was alone. His parents were on the way along with Jason and Kylie. Travis felt helpless in that moment.
He walked down to the NICU to see Grayson. He had never felt more hurt. He couldn’t do anything to help you. And his baby, who weighed 2 pounds, was hooked up to so many things. His breathing was shallow and his heart rate was slow.
“Travis!” Kylie yelled.
He turned around and was immediately hugged by her. He felt tears in his eyes.
“I can’t do anything to help her. Or him. I can’t do anything. This is the first time in my life I feel like the most useless person ever. He weighs 2 pounds Ky, 2. When Avery was born she was 7.4 pounds. Do you know what it feels like to see a two pound baby?”
“Yes I do Trav, you’re a strong man. Both of them need you right now. You’re gonna need to be strong.”
“I can’t Kylie. I can’t do this. I don’t know what to do. I can’t do anything.”
“You need to be strong Travis. She needs you. Grayson needs you. Y/N is going to be in pain. She is going to be depressed. Grayson weighs two pounds. He needs you to protect him. He cannot protect himself right now.”
An hour later they saw you being wheeled into recovery. You were on strong pain meds. The doctor talked to Travis. You were in bed.
Travis had never felt more helpless and he watched you sleep in your room.
He sat in the chair beside you.
“Trav?”
“Hey babygirl, how are you feeling?”
“Like you tackled me.”
“I have never tackled you.”
“I know. But this is how I would imagine it.”
“I love you.”
“How’s Grayson?”
“He’s good, Jason is in there watching him right now.”
“I feel so disgusting Travie. I’m sweaty, blood everywhere-“
“Baby, we will get you cleaned up after a bit. Once the medicine wears off a little bit more .”
“Are you gonna help me in the shower? I’m gonna need it.”
“I can help you or the nurse can.”
“No, I want you too.”
“Ok.”
“I feel comfortable with you being there in the shower. Because I know I’m safe.”
“Baby you would be safe with a nurse too.”
“I just want you.”
“Ok.”
“Can I see Grayson?”
“Let me go check with the nurses.” He got up and left the room for a moment.
Travis came back in with a nurse following behind him.
“Hey Y/N, I’m Loraine and I'll be your nurse until you are discharged. Unfortunately as of right now you are unable to see Grayson due to you still being in your bed.  But you should be able to see him on Friday. So in 4 days.”
“Okay. Thanks.”
Tears spring to your eyes.
The nurse left and Travis FaceTimed Jason. He answered.
“How’s momma bear?”
“I’m ok,” you said through your sobs.
“Oh Y/N/N. What’s wrong?”
“I can’t see Gray until Friday.”
Jason flipped the camera showing Grayson.
“There’s the cub added to the pack.”
“He looks just like Trav,” you said.
“He does.” You could hear Kylie say.
“He also looks like you though mama,” Travis said to you.
“I wanna see him so badly.” You started sobbing harder.
Travis hugged you and you sobbed into his chest. You couldn’t take it.
“Baby you’ll be able to see him on Friday.”
“But that’s 4 days away and I want to see him now.”
“Hey, who knows maybe you’ll get to see him earlier. But for now why don’t we get you in the shower.”
——
It was now Friday, the day you had been looking forward to all week. You were slowly walking down the hallway with Travis. He was helping you.
“I wanna get married already,” you blurted out.
He stopped and looked at you.
“You wanna get married? Like right now?”
“Not right now, I mean like a week or two from now. Or when I can fully enjoy the honeymoon.”
“Baby I don’t think we would be able to have a honeymoon for like a year or more. You are not gonna want to leave Grayson. Remember when Avery was born and you didn’t leave her with someone besides me for 8 months.”
“I trust Jason and Kylie.”
“Are you saying you didn’t trust them when we had Avs?”
“Honey, it was our first child.”
Travis’s phone started ringing.
“Hello,” he answered.
It was quiet for a moment before his face fell.
“You ok?”
“Avery is being rushed to the hospital.”
“What?!”
“Hold on, my mom is still talking.”
You leaned against the wall.
“They’ll be here in 5 minutes, let's get you a wheelchair.”
You made it back to your room shortly after Donna called. You were waiting for them to arrive. The ambulance showed up and you grabbed his hand.
“Would you wear the ring while playing?” You asked, trying to divert the conversation.
“I don’t know. I could because my gloves would help make sure it didn’t fall off. But I don’t know.”
“I mean you could wear a silicone one.”
“Yeah I don’t know.”
An hour later a doctor came into your room.
“Are you the parents of Avery Kelce?”
“Yes, is she ok?” You asked the doctor.
“She has leukemia.”
You began sobbing. This was the worst thing you could have heard. The doctor took Travis outside to discuss the situation.
Travis came back in a few moments later with tears in his eyes.
“What Travis?”
He sat on the bed grabbing your hand.
“Baby…tell me.” You pleaded.
“It’s bad. It developed fast. She needs a bone marrow transplant immediately and Jason, Kylie, mom and I aren’t matched. And they can’t test you since you just had Grayson. She doesn’t have much time and they don’t know when a match will come in.”
“Would social media-“
“No, we aren't putting our sick baby on social media. The doctors are reaching out and they might have one but we won’t know for a couple of hours.”
“Travis I can’t do this both my daughter and my son are in the hospital. I am stuck in a bed and can’t do shit. I just want to go home.”
“I know.”
You slowly got up and went to the bathroom, shutting the door. He heard the shower.
Travis knocked on the door.
“Baby can I come in?”
“No Travis. I need to be alone right now.”
Kylie walked into the room and knocked.
“Honey you ok?”
“No Ky. I’m not ok. My babies are stuck in the hospital dying. I can’t do anything. I am the worst mom in the world. I can’t do this anymore. I don’t want to do this anymore.”
You were in the shower not even caring about the door opening and closing.
Travis walked over to you. Seeing blood flowing steadily.
“Baby?”
“I didn’t do anything that just started. I wanted to do something until I saw it a minute ago. And I just stood here.”
“Where is it coming from?”
“Who cares?” you stated.
“I care. I want you to be ok. I want Grayson to be ok. I want Avery to be ok. But I need to know I will be walking out with the love of my life and you are bleeding right now.”
“I can’t….I can’t….”
“You can.”
“No Travis. I don’t want to do this anymore. I want to be done. I’m tired of the pain mentally and physically.”
“Kylie go get a nurse!”
“Travis,” you warned.
“No Y/N-“ he shouted.
You had flinched for the first time in the 5 years of you and Travis being together, you were scared of him.
“You have to be ok. I need you to be ok. I don’t know a world where you don’t exist. I have known you since kindergarten and I don’t know how to survive without you. So you need to be ok.”
“I’m lightheaded.”
Travis pulled you towards him and wrapped a towel around you.
Kylie and the nurse came in.
“What happened?”
“She started bleeding.” Travis said.
“Where is it coming from?”
“Babe, where is it coming from?” He asked you.
“I don’t fucking know. Nor do I care.”
“I think it’s down there:” Kylie says.
“Ok let’s get her into the bed.”
Travis picked you up and placed you on the bed.
“Travis, please stop, just let me be.”
“I’m not letting you die.”
The nurse examined you as you began crying.
“I’m gonna get the doctor. Then we will probably go to the O.R.”
“I’m scared.”
“I know, baby girl. But you are going to be ok.”
“Can we get married?”
“Honey, we already talked about this. Remember?”
“No.”
“What do you mean?”
“We never set the date.”
“Pick a day.” He smiled.
“June 14th.”
“Five months away?”
“Yeah.”
“I thought we said in a couple weeks.”
“I want it to be in June when we can go to the beach.”
He chuckled.
“We could go to the beach at any time cause we can fly anywhere.”
“True. I kinda wanna rent a cabin in the mountains and just have my way with you for a few days.”
“What if we do both?”
“What do you mean?”
“We can just have a long honeymoon and go to the beach for a few days and then go to the mountains for a couple days”
“But I want to go to Italy and Egypt and-”
“Baby, we can’t go everywhere in two weeks. But we can go on several vacations over time.”
The doctor came in and they began wheeling you down to the OR.
“I don’t want to go. I’m scared. Check on Gray and Avs. I don’t want them to die. I love you.”
He kissed you and went to see Avery first.
Avery was hanging on. The hospital had gotten a call 30 minutes ago that a donor came in. They were prepping her for surgery when Travis walked in. Travis kissed her forehead and told her he loved her. Tears sprung to his eyes.
Travis walked into Grayson’s room. Jason was holding him.
“You know she is gonna kill you when she finds out.”
“You wanna hold him?” Jason asked.
“Yeah.”
“And what do you mean she is gonna kill me?” Jason asks.
“Y/N. She hasn’t held him yet and she is not gonna like finding out you were the first to hold him.”
“I’ve been holding him for like five minutes.”
“She still isn’t gonna like it.”
“What if we just tell her you were the first to hold him.”
“She still isn’t gonna like that.”
“We just won’t tell her.”
Travis was doing skin to skin with Grayson. Doctors said it would help him get better. They didn’t know the science behind it but it worked. Travis sat there for about two hours before a doctor came in to update him about Avery.
“Do you have an update?”
“On Avery yes. She is doing well. The transplant was successful. She should be ready to go home on Monday.”
“Ok. Any update on my wife?”
“She’s in recovery. The stitches ruptured. The surgeon did a sloppy job the first time.”
“Why the fuck was it a sloppy job?”
“Rushed possibly. It’s fixed now-“
“Why was it rushed?”
“Well the doctor who was working on your doctor needed to go work on your son so he was probably trying to get your wife done as soon as possible.”
Travis saw you being wheeled into the room. He felt a wave of relief as he saw your droopy eyes looking at him.
“Hey baby girl, how do you feel?”
“I want to see Grayson and I want to hold him. I want to go home.”
“Okay.”
“Any news on Avery?”
“She’s going to make a full recovery. They took her to surgery shortly after they took you and she finished up a few moments ago–”
“Hey doc, is there any way all three of us can be in the same room? At least me and my daughter?”
“I can make that happen.” He nods leaving.
You sighed.
“Thank you!”
“It’s my pleasure. You should be able to go home on Tuesday. As well as both of your kids. Grayson is doing very well. The skin-to-skin contact with your husband definitely helped.”
You looked at Travis. “You….held-“
“I’m sorry. We weren’t—“
“I’m sorry we?”
“Jason was in there with me while I was doing it. We weren’t going to tell you because we didn’t want to make you feel bad.”
Tears rushed down your face.
“Baby—“
“No it’s ok. I’m glad it was you first. And that you helped him. I don’t know why I’m crying.”
“Technically it was Jason but he held him for like two seconds before I got him.”
You started sobbing.
“So it wasn’t you it was J?”
“Jason held him not doing skin to skin.”
“Oh. That doesn’t make me feel better.”
“I’m sorry—“
Travis was cut off by the door to your room opening. Wheeling in both Avery and Grayson.
Avery was asleep.
“Can I hold my baby now?” you asked the nurse.
She nodded and handed you Grayson. He was so adorable. Travis saw Donna walk in.
“How’s everybody doing?”
“Good. We get to go home Friday.”
“Oh. What about the game?”
“What do you mean?”
“Trav has an away game on Monday.”
“Fuck, that’s right. I can talk to the team and Big Red and see if I can miss the game.”
“No Travis go. Football is important to you-“ You said.
“So is my family.”
“Travis, the game on Monday decides your playoff sead. You can’t miss that game.”
“Baby, if I go we won’t be home until late in the evening on Tuesday.”
“That’s ok. Donna can help. And my parents. We will be ok. Then we can welcome you home.”

I’m Always Here - Part 5
Word Count: 4078 (I’m sorry… I’m not)
Warnings: language, football related injury, passing out, anxiety, hospital, not eating, throwing up, mental abuse (not Travis),
You were walking into Arrowhead with Donna and Avery. You were wearing Travis’s letterman jacket. You had security with you. You waved hi to fans and smiled. You heard shouting as someone ran up behind you. As you turned around you saw your brother.
“Oh my god, Bradley.” you said.
Yes, your brother was Bradley Cooper. You hugged him.
“What are you doing here?” you asked him.
“The chiefs are playing the eagles. I’m an eagles fan. And my sister is dating the guy on the chiefs.”
“Since when do you go to football games? Growing up you never paid attention to football. You were a die-hard hockey fan.”
“Hey come on now, I watched football.”
You gave him a look and seconds later security escorted you to the famous Kelce box.
The first two quarters were good. At half you got freezing cold.
“Avs? Are you cold?”
“No.”
“Avery Jean, are you cold? And don’t lie to mommy.”
“I’m not.”
“Donna, are you cold?”
“No, why?”
“I’m freezing.” You said.
“I can run down to the shop and get you a blanket,” Donna offered.
“No, that's ok. I’ll run down and steal a hoodie from Trav’s locker.”
“Just sit tight and-“
You felt a sharp pain in your abdomen. You clutched it. Donna instantly noticed.
“Y/N, are you ok?”
“Yeah, it’s just a cramp. It’s fine,” you lied.
Donna didn’t pressure you any further. It was now the fourth quarter and the game was getting tense. You saw a defender blocking Travis like none other. Travis could barely get a yard before he was tackled. You could tell he was getting frustrated.
You began rubbing your legs and that was an old habit in college. You watched a play and Travis got hit hard. You stood up with Donna.
Travis was lying on the ground holding his knee. You couldn’t tell if he was ok.
“Donna, will you watch her for a moment.”
She nodded her head as you ran out of the suite with a security guard following behind closely. You ran to the locker room as you saw Travis being rushed in.
“Wait, I want her to come too,” Travis said wincing.
“I’m sorry Kelce but she can’t come in.”
“Like hell she won’t. I need her.”
Travis grabbed your hand and you were taken back too. You kissed his hand as they placed him on the table. The doctor came in and began examining his leg.
“How are you? Are you doing ok? Is the baby doing ok?”
“Travis Michael. You are the one currently getting examined by a doctor for your knee. And you are asking if I’m ok?”
He could sense the anxiety and fear in your voice.
You felt the sharp pain again and ignored it. But you squeezed his hand not knowing until it was too late. You hoped he didn’t notice.
“No. I noticed that. What’s wrong, baby? And don’t say you're fine. You squeezed my hand, just like you did when you were in labor with Avs.”
“I’m fine. I'm fine. I'm totally….fine. Nothing is wrong.” You smiled.
Travis sat up.
“Kelce, we need you to lay back down.”
“Fuck no. Something is wrong with my pregnant girlfriend and she won’t tell me shit. Now Y/N Y/L/N what is wrong?”
“Sharp pain in my abdomen. It’s nothing.”
“Bullshit it’s nothing. Doc, you got an ultrasound machine right?”
“Um, yeah.”
“Good, now do an ultrasound of her.”
“I’m not really the right doctor for that.”
“Just shut up and do it.”
“Travis hey! Cut it out! I know you’re upset but don’t take this out on him or me.” You said.
“I’m not but something is clearly fucking wrong with you.”
“Our baby is kicking. I’m fine. Your son has a strong leg.”
You realized a second too late what you had just said.
“Well, that’s just great.” You said turning away from Travis.
You began freezing again. You wrapped your arms around yourself.
“No, get back here.” Travis said, grabbing your arm, “we are having a boy.”
You nodded your head as he pulled you in for a hug. You shivered.
“Shit baby, you're freezing. Someone get my girlfriend a hoodie from my locker.”
Travis felt you go limp. He looked down. You were out cold.
“Someone call 911. She passed out.”
——
When you woke up next, you were in the hospital. You looked around and noticed Travis.
“Baby, what happened?”
Travis looked up and got up seeing you awake.
“You passed out on me.”
“Our son?” You asked.
“Perfectly fine. But why didn’t you tell me you didn’t have time to eat breakfast? And why didn’t you eat lunch at the stadium? Baby the nurse said it looked like you haven’t eaten in 18 hours.”
“I can’t eat ok. Everytime I eat something I either hate the way it tastes or I throw it right back up.”
“Im sorry babe.” He rubbed your arm.
“I’ve tried everything I can think of.” You wiped your eyes, “I kept down a protein shake for three hours.”
“But baby why didn’t you tell anyone.”
“I was scared that there was something wrong with me. That I was doing something wrong. I never had any of these problems with Avery. And now all of sudden I'm the worst mom in the world.”
“Honey you’re not, you’re the best mom to Avery. You do everything right. You’re the best wife to me.”
“I feel bad, I just wanna eat.”
“I know you do. The doctor said he might be able to get some dietary supplements to help.”
“Why can’t my body just be a good mom to our son though? I’m doing everything I can. And nothing goes our way. I am 4 and a half months pregnant and have been in the hospital 3 times since I found out.”
“Here’s what I’m going to do. I’m gonna get Jason to swing by and bring some soup you like while you’re in the shower. We’re gonna try and see if you can keep it down.”
“You don’t think I tried soup. It didn’t work. I couldn’t keep it down for more than 10 minutes.”
“Well let’s just see.”
“Travis, I don't want to be treated like a little kid with the flu. I know how to do this by myself.”
“Fine. I was just trying to help you out. I’m sorry you won’t let me try to do anything for you.” He says sitting back in the chair.
You were silent. You felt bad.
“I’m sorry I can’t be a good mother to your son.”
“You’re a great mother, it's just your body won’t cooperate.”
“Travis quit fucking lying to me. I know I can’t do this right. Just be mean. Yell at me. Tell me I’m doing bad. Because I know I am. And quit trying to make me feel good about myself. I’m a shitty mother and both you and I know it.”
“Did Sam say shit like that to you?”
“What?”
“Did Sam say this shit to you honey? Because you keep saying you're a bad mother. You’re not.” Travis said.
“Sam judged me all the time.” Your voice cracked. “But Travis, so did you. The night you called, two weeks after I left, you said that shit. You told me I would never be a good mother. You told me that I wouldn’t raise Avery right. Yeah Sam said shit like that too. But you started it.”
“I plan to end it. I won’t say hurtful things to you anymore.” He said, “I love you baby, you and our two kids. I’m happy.”
“But Travis, I have it in me already that I am a bad mom. I can’t just give up those feelings right away. And with the way this pregnancy is going, I might think that until our son is here.”
“I’m here for you. If you need anything.”
“Travis, you say that like you are walking out.”
“I’m not walking out. I wouldn’t fucking do that to you. But I don’t know how to reassure you the way you need to be reassured.”
“So what? That's it. Are we done?”
Travis looked at her then went to his bag.
“What are you doing Travis?”
“I’m doing what I should have done 2 months ago.
Travis digs around in his bag before he gets something out and walks to the side of your bed. He gets down on one knee.
“Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, you have made me the most happiest fucking person on Earth. You are the one for me. I’m done. No more partying, no more random hookups, no more looking. I have found the one for me. And that’s you. I should have proposed to you 5 years ago. But I was arrogant and stupid, and I didn’t know what love was yet. But I know now that I love you. I love Avery. I love our unborn son. You are my whole world. And I will attempt to reassure you every single day of my life until you feel like a good mom. So Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N will you make me the literal happiest guy in the universe, and marry me?”
“Yes.” You said smiling at him with tears in your eyes.
You kissed him passionately.
“I enjoyed everything you said. But I’ll be honest you could’ve stopped after the first sentence and I would’ve said yes.”
“I love you. You do know that right?”
“Yeah I know you–”
“No, just listen. I will say this everyday if I need to. You are an amazing mom. You would drop literally everything to save Avery. You are doing everything in your power to grow our son. You are growing our son. And even though your body isn’t being nice and helping, you are doing an amazing job trying. I will say this everyday. Please don’t blame yourself for this.”
You were sobbing at this point. No one in your life had ever and would ever treat you the way Travis treats you.
“I love you. I’m so glad you're my kids’ dad.”
“Same.” He chuckled.
He slipped the ring on and you smiled seeing it sparkle. It was simple but  were in love with it.
“Avery wants to watch Aladdin with you.”
“Before you get her I need to tell you something,” you said, getting nervous.
“Oh my god, are you actually going to say no?”
“No, Travis. It’s something else.”
“Well, what is it?”
“Grayson Travis Kelce.”
“What?”
“That’s what I want to name our son. Grayson Travis.”
He sat there thinking about it. You were nervous. He rubbed his beard.
“Thoughts? Travis, please say something.”
“You want to name our son after me?”
“Yeah. I’ve been thinking about it ever since I found out it was a boy. I wanted to do Jason’s name, but I couldn’t come up with anything that sounded good. So it was you next. And I don’t want that to seem like a last resort. But I know how much he means to you. Hell you choose your football number because of him.”
“Yeah I did. We have time to figure out a true name.”
“No, Travis. That’s what I want it to be. I want our son to be named after the greatest dad he could have. After my best friend since like 4th grade. The best Tight End in the world. I want it to be after you.”
“No, it’s ok Y/N/N. He doesn’t have to be named after me.”
“Travis I want him to be. He’s your son.”
“No, baby it's really ok.”
“Travis, shut the fuck up. That’s our son’s name. And if you try to tell me no, I will call Andy.”
“You wouldn’t call Coach Reid.”
You dug your phone out of your purse and clicked on Coach Reid’s contact and hit call.
“Hey Y/N, what’s up?” Coach said.
“Would you do me a massive favor?”
“Of course, you know you’re my favorite.”
“Will you make Travis do 50 yard sprints tomorrow?”
“Uh oh already made you upset did he?”
“Yes sir sure did.”
“I’ll 1000% make him sprint tomorrow. I’ve got you.”
You hung up the phone.
“You’re mean. You know that I don’t know if I want to cuddle with you.”
——
The next morning you were at home in bed. Travis was at practice running his ass off. He was drenched in sweat. He hated this.
Patrick walked over to Travis, as Travis tried to catch his breath.
“Dude, who’d you piss off to make you run over 20 consecutive 50-yard sprints?” Pat asked.
“My pregnant fiancee.”
“She knows coach?”
“Hell yeah. Got his phone number and everything.”
“And she just called him?”
“Yep, he even called her his favorite.”
“Damn. How is she by the way?”
“We are slowly getting better. She is on dietary supplements right now, since she can't keep anything down.”
“Yeah, Brittany was on those. It really helped.”
“Yeah Y/N hates them. She says they taste awful.”
Donna: She’s kept a protein shake down for three hours, before she threw it up.
Travis: Shit. This isn’t working. She can’t keep anything down. I’m really nervous mom.
Donna: me too honey, right now we’re trying pedialyte and she’s drunk half so far. It’s been thirty minutes.
Travis: Is it the same problem? She hates the taste?
Donna: this one isn’t as bad
Travis: but she still hates it? I think we should try a milkshake. She has the chocolate flavored one. She has been really into ice cream. See if you can make a milkshake using chocolate ice cream, milk, and the chocolate powder.
Donna: I would try that, but she threw the tub of chocolate powder in the trash can.
Travis: Fuck
——
Travis continues practice while you sort out the drink situation at home. You were exhausted by the time he came home. He saw three huge pedialyte bottles empty on the counter and you were asleep on the couch.
“Hey, she just fell asleep. Avery is upstairs watching Aladdin, for the 15th time today. Y/N finished two bottles about an hour ago. The other one is from two hours ago. I don’t know how long they will stay down. But we will see,” Donna said.
Travis nodded and joined you on the couch. He put a blanket over both of you. You snuggled up to him.
“Did you just get home?” you asked, keeping your eyes closed.
“Yeah, good job at doing three bottles.”
“Thanks! How were your sprints?”
“I really dislike you for them. But I did 60 of them. How’s baby Gray?”
“Good, kicking like a bitch. Right on my bladder.”
She put his hand where he could feel him kicking.
“You feel?”
“That’s our son?”
“Yeah, strong isn’t he?”
“He's a Kelce that’s for damn sure.” He smiled.
You laugh. Travis loved his family. He loved all of his family.
“Who knows, maybe he’ll be a kicker?” you joked.
“Fuck no, my kid ain’t being no kicker.”
“Then what is he being?”
“Anything but a kicker, or punter. He can be a center.”
“My son is not gonna be a center. No offense to Jason but my son will be a tight end. Just like his daddy.”
He smiled. “If he wants to be.”
“What if he doesn’t want to play football? Would you be upset?”
“No. Just like you wouldn’t be upset if Avery doesn’t do wrestling.”
“Oh no, Avery is gonna wrestle.”
“No she’s not.”
“We are not arguing about this, yes she is. I wrestled. You're gonna say you didn’t find me hot?”
“I did. Which is the exact reason she is not gonna wrestle.”
“What the fuck does that mean?”
“It means I don’t want guys staring at her.”
“Travis, that is exactly what you were doing. How are you gonna say she can’t play a sport because guys are gonna look at her. Well guess what Travis guys are gonna look at her anyway. She is the daughter of an NFL player and a D1 wrestler.”
You got off the couch and went upstairs to your bedroom. You could hear Travis coming up the stairs behind you.
You shut the door and got on the bed. You felt like you couldn’t breathe, you knew this was anxiety. You were slowly going downhill. You picked up the book on the nightstand and threw it at the wall.
You heard footsteps running towards your room. Travis walked in.
“What is it?”
“Nothing, I threw a book.”
“You mean like this?” He picked up a glass and threw it at the wall, shattering into a thousand pieces.
“Why would you do that? You are gonna wake Avery up.”
“She’s already awake. She’s downstairs. She woke up like 10 minutes ago.”
You grabbed your chest trying to breathe. He noticed.
“What? What is it?”
“Can’t breathe.” You said.
“What why?”
“I- don’t- know,” you said.
You grabbed his hand and tried to get yourself together for the sake of Travis standing in front of you. You were slowly starting to freak out.
“Travis, I- can’t breathe.”
“In and out, do it with me.”
You began taking breaths in and out. You slowly calmed down.
“Good girl, keep going.” Travis said as he went into the bathroom and got a glass of water for you.
You took small sips of it when he got back with it. Avery came upstairs.
“Mama are you ok?”
“Avery stay right there. There is glass on the floor,” Travis snapped at her.
“Don’t yell at her.”
“Sorry Avery, I yelled at you. Just don’t come in here okay?” He says calmly.
Avery looks at you.
“Avs, there are spikes on the ground. Now we don’t want to step on the spikes. So go into your room, and mama will be in there to tuck you in. Ok?”
“Ok, mommy,” Avery said, running off.
“I’m sorry I snapped.” Travis said.
You grabbed his hand and squeezed it.
“It’s ok. Technically I did tell you that you were supposed to be bad cop. So you did that correctly.”
He chuckled. He grabbed the vacuum and cleaned up the glass.
“Thanks for doing that and I’m going to put Avery down. My muscles are so sore.” You said leaving the room.
Travis got an idea in his head. He began grabbing things.
You heard Travis rustling around in your room.
“Mama, daddy is being loud.”
“I know baby girl. Let's get ready for bed ok? Do you wanna pick a book?”
Avery was thinking.
“Or daddy can read to you or watch a movie. Anything you want kiddo.” You said as you pulled the sheets down on the bed.
You got Avery’s pajamas and helped her in them.
Avery took off running towards your room shouting, “I coming daddy. We gonna watch Aladdin.”
You heard Travis groan.
“I’ll be there in a minute kiddo.”
You chuckled.
You went downstairs to the kitchen to clean up dinner dishes.
“Babe, come upstairs,” Travis yelled from the railing.
You walked upstairs, “yeah? What’s up?”
Travis smiled at you.
“I have a surprise.”
“Oh god, what did you do?”
Travis rolled his eyes.
“Seriously Trav, what did you do? Because every time you have a surprise it’s something that’s ridiculous and I have to deal with it all day. So…what is it?” You asked looking at Travis with a face.
“I promise it is something good. It’s something I have been working on.”
“Travis what did you do?”
He grabbed your hands and walked you to his office. He didn’t open the door quite yet.
“You want me to open the door or you open it? I mean it’s your office, nothing grand,” you looked at him.
He looked down at you and kissed you.
He slowly opened the door. Inside was what was once his office, but it is decorated a little differently now.
“I decided I would work on making the nursery for our son. I got most of the essentials but clothes.”
You started to tear up.
“Travis, this is so thoughtful I didn’t even know what to do about the nursery. I’m so touched. Words can’t even describe how much I love this. I love you so much Travis. This is incredible.” You hugged him crying.
He rubbed your back and was happy you were happy.
“Now let’s go to bed, I’m tired. I know you are tired. And your daughter was jumping on our bed when I left.”
“Should we get a dog?”
“What?” he asked.
“I don’t know. I kinda want a dog.”
“For you or Avery?”
“Well protection for all of us actually when you’re away especially.”
“Ok, what type of dog?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t ever had a dog.”
“I’ll get you one, trust me the perfect one for us.”
“Okay Kelce.”
“What did you just call me?” he said pulling you into him, tickling you.
“Kelce why?”
“That is not my name.”
“Yes it is.”
“No it's not.”
“Then what is it?”
He looked at you, eyes dark. You were trying to keep it all in. The hormones weren’t working. You did it though.
“What is it?” You asked again.
He just looked at you.
“I’m not gonna ask you again, Kelce. If that isn’t your name then what is it?”
He smirked at you.
“Boy you better-“
“I will answer to anything you call me, except Kelce.”
“So like, Jason’s brother?”
“Woman, you are killing me.”
“Mood kill?”
“You know what I am in the mood for. Just say the goddamn word?”
“What word?”
He looked at her.
“Oh the s word?”
“Yes that word.”
“We can’t your daughter is in our bed.”
“Our daughter.”
“Your daughter.”
“She’s ours.”
“You are the one that did the dirty work to create her.”
Travis took you to the downstairs bathroom shutting the door. He turned on the shower.
“What are you doing?”
“I lied, OUR daughter is sleeping peacefully in her bed. When you went to wash the dishes I put her in her bed, and she fell asleep.”
“So why are we in the downstairs bathroom?”
“Because of this.” He turned a handle and five shower heads were going.
“Wow.”
“See, it's nice.”
“Yeah, but why do we need to be in the downstairs bathroom? We have a nice shower in our bathroom.”
“I want you.”
“And this would muffle the sound?”
“I don’t know, but I thought we could test it.”
“Travy, why can’t we just have sex in our bed?”
“You don’t wanna do this? I thought you would like it?” He smiled at you.
“I do, wanna do this Trav. But I like having sex in our bed. It’s comfy. And we can turn the lights off.”
He turned the bathroom lights down.
“That better?”
“I guess.”
“You guess. Y/N I am trying to do something nice here.”
“So what this is a pity fuck?”
“What no?”
She went upstairs and got into bed.
“Baby, why won’t you let me love you?”
“Because I am fat Travis. I have gained weight.”
“So?”
“I look horrible.”
“No you don’t. Yeah you are fat. But it's because you are pregnant. You are growing our son.”
Travis began rubbing your ass. You moaned a little.
“You are hot. The hottest woman I have ever been with.”
“Liar, you dated Taylor Swift.”
Travis grabbed your ass and you bit your lip. You knew that he was going to get his way. He always does.
“Feel me,” He said.
“What?” You asked.
“Feel how much I want this.” He replied.
“I don’t feel anything except your hand rubbing and grabbing my ass-“ you breathed out.
You knew Travis was up to his tricks.
“Haha, very funny, Y/N.”
“What’s funny? I don’t know what you are talking about?”
“Of course you do.” He smiled.
“No. I don’t. Unless you showed me or something. I have no clue.”
“I ain’t hiding anything.”
“I’m clueless. And dumb. I need everything handed to me on a silver platter,” you said in a sarcastic tone.
You heard his belt come undone. You didn’t think anything of it. He just rubbed your left thigh.
“Tell me now, and I'll just get in bed.”
“Tell you what?”
“Tell me to stop.”
“What if I don’t want you to.”

Fic idea: Getting a puppy to surprise Travis!
A Fluffy Surprise
Warnings: none
Word Count: 288
A/N: this is not a part of the “KC Couple” or “I’m Always Here” series’. This is just a one-shot. Enjoy!!
You decided to get a dog. You hadn’t told Travis just yet that you were getting it. He had always wanted a Chocolate Lab (I don’t actually know if this is true this is just what I am saying). So you decided to surprise him with a puppy. You were on your way to pick up the puppy. You told Travis you were going to one of your friend’s houses. He believed it pretty easily.
You made it to the pick up location. The woman got out and got the puppy from the back seat. “Oh my gosh. She’s adorable,” you said. “I cannot wait for Travis to see her,” the woman said. The puppy came over to you. SHe started licking your face. “I’m so excited.”
You finished getting all of the paperwork and got everything the woman was giving you. You picked the puppy up and got into your car thanking the woman. You started the drive back home. You got home and set up everything. You waited on the couch with the puppy until Travis got home.
An Hour Later
You heard the door opening and Travis coming into the house. You waited for him to walk into the living room. “Baby where are you?” he asked. “In the living room. Come here I have a surprise for you.” Travis came into the room. “No, you didn’t” ”I didn’t what?” “You didn’t get a chocolate lab.” “I did, she’s your new puppy.” “Awe baby, really?” “Yeah.”
He came over and sat down on the couch. “Are you serious?” “Yes, baby. Happy Birthday.” “Thank you.”
Later
The rest of the evening was spent playing with the new puppy. Travis was having the time of his life.

I'm Always Here - Part 4
Warnings: pregnancy talk, medical talk, preeclampsia, talk of terminating pregnancy, language,
Word Count: 1675
“I’m sorry to inform you, but you have a serious health condition. About 5-8 women are diagnosed with it, but it affects everyone differently”
“Which is?” Travis asked.
“Preeclampsia. It's a serious blood pressure condition that develops during pregnancy. The bleeding was just your body shedding its uterine lining, because it doesn’t believe there is a baby in you. Which really doesn’t have anything to do with preeclampsia but it is just something that can happen. I’m so sorry.”
“So what’s the best option for us?” You asked.
“You can continue with the pregnancy, but there can be serious complications. I can 100% sit down and talk about them with you guys. Obviously we can terminate the pregnancy–”
“No, that won’t be happening,” you said.
“What’s the risk? Travis asked.
“Fetal growth restriction, which is where the placenta does not receive as much blood as it should, causing your baby to be undersized. Preterm labor, which is where you give birth prior to about 35 weeks. Placenta abruption, which is where the placenta detaches from the uterine wall. And worse case scenario–”
“Our baby dies,” you said.
“Yes.” The doctor says.
“Ok, so what now?”
“Now we just take this pregnancy one day at a time. We have some time before we really notice any problems. So we will just make an appointment every other week until we start to notice a major problem.”
“Okay, can I be discharged today? Is that possible? Or-“ you asked the doctor.
“You can be discharged today. But I want you to be as cautious as possible. So no stressful events, not as much physical activity—“
“No stressful events? Travis plays in the NFL, his games will always be stressful to me.”
“Honey I will be fine with you not being there.” Travis says.
“But babe-“
Travis gave her a look.
“Trav, I am not missing your games. I want to go to them,” tears sprung to your eyes, “I feel like I wouldn’t be supporting you.”
Travis hugged you, rubbing your back. He felt bad.
“Would going to games be bad?” He asked the doctor.
“It depends on how stressed she gets at games. If it is super stressful then I would recommend not going.”
“Ok, I mean I guess I can watch from home.”
“Yeah, and you will have Avery.”
“That’s true Avery always lowers stress.” You said, “I can try going to one game and see what I do. If I get too bad I can go home.”
You and Travis headed home. You were in the passenger seat and grabbed his hand for comfort. You needed it right now at this moment.
“It’s gonna be ok, I promise. We are gonna get through this, pretty girl,” Travis said.
“I want a boy.”
“What?”
“I want a boy. I want a boy so you can teach him to play football, I want him to do wrestling, but most of all I think you would be a good boy dad.”
“You want to be a football mom don’t you?”
“I’m already gonna be a wife so why not?” You smirked. “But I think you will be an amazing boy dad. You are an amazing girl dad, but I really think you will be an amazing boy dad. Someone you can wrestle around with.”
“Are you saying our daughter can’t be a wrestler?”
“No, I’m just saying you and our son would be best friends.”
“Oh okay. Secret codes and everything oh that would be awesome!” He cheered, “Jason would love that.”
“See what I’m saying. No secret codes to hide things from me though.”
“Oh never. You are a good mom. I hope you know that.”
“Oh I doubt myself many times.”
“Why? I could have never asked to have a better mom to two of my kids.”
“I need a break sometimes.”
“Every parent, not just moms, need a break sometimes. And that is ok. You are the best mom to Avery and I know you will be a great mom to our second kid. Speaking of which, when do you think we can find out the gender?”
“Jason and I already discussed this.”
“Wait, so you’re telling me, that you talked to my brother before you talked to your future husband?”
“Jason is throwing the gender reveal.”
“Why can’t I throw the party? I throw the best parties.”
“You threw Avery’s. Jason wants a turn.”
“But I’m better at it.”
“Trav, if I were to allow you to throw my party, it would turn into, somehow, some way, a party for you.”
“True.”
“Plus Donna is gonna help along with Kylie and the kids.”
“So if I can’t throw the gender reveal party, can I throw a party just because?”
“No.”
“Why not? I love to party.”
He pulled into the driveway and you got out slamming the door heading inside.
“Baby wait.”
“No Travis. We have had this argument before. You can’t just party all the time. You wanted to step back up as a father. So step the fuck up. We are having another kid. I’m pregnant with our second child.”
You walk into the house going up the stairs. You go into the bathroom, shutting the door. You couldn’t let Travis see you like this. You were vulnerable.
“Baby, I’m sorry. This is new to me. I haven’t been around for basically all of Avery’s life, I don’t know how to be a dad. Or even to be a responsible adult. Please open the door.”
You opened the door, tears running down your face. You didn’t wanna look up at him. You didn’t wanna show him.
“Baby, please look at me. I’m so sorry. I don’t know how to do this yet. This is a big adjustment. I’m sorry.”
You looked up at him. You were ashamed of this. You didn’t want him to see.
“I promise that I am going to try to be the person you need me to be. But I need you to understand that this is going to take some time, but I love you and I want to be here for you, Avery and our new baby.
“Travis, I’m gonna need you more than ever to step up. I can’t be wrestling around a toddler while pregnant. I hate to say this, but for a little while I need you to be strict on Avery. I need you to be a parent, and not just a fun uncle for her.”
“Okay, I’ll be dad. I got this.” He said.
“I hate doing this but it’s for my health Travis. You know that. I don’t want-“
“Baby, I know. We gotta play good cop bad cop for a while. And that means to keep my wife healthy, I gotta be the bad cop.”
You leaned him down and kissed him, giggling.
“You called me your wife?” you said, tears starting to collect in your eyes once more.
“Yeah, you’re gonna be my wife. Better start calling you my wife.”
“Does that mean I can call you my baby daddy?’
“No, that is not what that means,” he said sternly.
“Fine, my husband.”
You walked back out into the living room. Avery was at Donna’s house, so you and Travis could have a night to yourselves.
“Babe, what does your schedule look like tomorrow for the game?” you asked Travis.
“Pretty standard.”
“Standard? I haven’t been with you for almost a year. What does the standard look like?”
“I have to be at the facility at 11 since it is a 3:25 game. Then I probably won’t be home until between 8-9.”
You already knew this would be a long pregnancy, just knowing how many times you had cried in the last 24 hours. And now you were crying again.
“I’m fine Travis, just the hormones. This sucks. I’m going tomorrow.”
“First, honey you aren’t fine and that’s ok, something made you upset. And second, why? You don’t need to go to the game.”
“What are all your cocky friends gonna say when your wife doesn’t show up to a single game all season? Or what are their snobby girlfriends and wives gonna say? Everyone is gonna think that I am only with you for your money.”
——
The next morning, Donna was over and walked upstairs seeing you with your hair in rollers, in the bathroom at your vanity.
“Good morning sunshine. You are glowing today,” Donna said.
“I most definitely am not glowing.”
“Is Travis still here? I don’t remember seeing his car in the driveway.”
“Trav!” You yelled, “give it a few seconds.”
Travis came sprinting into the bathroom.
“What? What is it? Are you ok? Is Avery ok? Is baby #2 ok?”
“I think that was a record.”
“Same.” Donna laughed, “his face was priceless.
“I know.” You chuckled, “that was great.”
“So everything is okay?”
“Yeah your mom just wanted to know if you were still here.” You said.
“So you yelled, like that?”
“It worked. Did it not?”
“No it did. I don’t think I have ever ran that fast.”
Avery walked in and hugged her mom.
“Avery honey I’m gonna be using hot tools here in a minute you’re gonna have to go somewhere else.”
“Ok mama. Daddy can I watch tv in your bed?”
“Sure baby.”
Travis took her into the bedroom and got a movie set up.
“He is a good dad.”
“I had to bitch at him several times for him to be one.” You said getting the rollers set.
“Really?”
“Yup. I’m gonna go to the game today. He bucked me hard over it.”
“Why doesn’t he want you to go?”
“I went to the hospital yesterday.”
“What?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
“Remember the blood stain?”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, it turns out I have preeclampsia.”
“Oh my god, Y/N I’m so sorry.”
“So I can’t be stressed out and I’m going to his game. And so now he is a little mad at me.”
“I mean he is just looking out for you.”
“Yeah, just sometimes it’s too much.”

The KC Couple - Part 12
Warnings: labor, language
Word Count: 944 words
Week 11 - 11/20 vs Philadelphia Eagles
It was homecoming week. Eagles vs Chiefs. This meant the whole fam was hanging out in a suite on Monday night. Ed and Donna were both going to be in the suite. Kylie and the girls, who normally don’t sit in a suite will be in the Kelce suite at Arrowhead.
You were excited to see everyone. You weren’t able to see Kylie and the girls often. You saw Donna and Ed throughout the season at games. But Kylie stays in Philadelphia for Eagles games. Travis was able to see them more often when he was close to them for other games.
Time Skip
You were currently sitting in the suite watching the 3rd quarter. The score was 17-14 Chiefs. The Chiefs had not been playing as well as they could be. You had been cramping a little throughout the game but thought nothing of it. As the Eagle’s punting team went out to punt you felt a gush of liquid between your legs.
“Ky, I think my water just broke,” you said, scaredly.
“What?” she said.
“That or I peed myself.”
“Have you been having contractions?”
“I have been cramping. But I was just ignoring it. I thought they were Braxton Hicks.”
“Ok, we need to get you to the hospital.”
“But what about the game?”
“Y/N forget the game. Honey, you are in labor. You are going to meet your daughter.”
“Oh, my god. I’m gonna meet my daughter. Oh my god Travis never talked to Andy. What do I do?”
“I don’t know.”
“I have access to go down to the field and talk to someone and see if he can leave.”
You and Kylie went down to the tunnel and talked to a security guard and they said they would get him and he would head to the hospital shortly after you.
Time Skip
Jason saw Travis run into the locker room. He questioned what was going on.
Travis sprinted through the locker room, struggling to get undressed and redressed. He freaked out when the security guard walked to one of the team managers and he overheard that you were in labor. He was now trying to go as fast as possible to get to the hospital. His baby girl was on the way. 13 weeks early. He didn’t know what to think.
Travis was running to the car as he was trying to get a hold of you, but you were not answering. You finally answered on the ninth call.
“Hello?” you asked.
“Hey baby girl. How are you?”
“In pain, where are you?”
“Driving. I am about 15 minutes away.”
“Well, hurry. I need you.”
You were sobbing at this point. You had never wanted Travis with you so bad. You were most nervous that he wouldn’t make it. You didn’t know why he wouldn’t make it, because he is 15 minutes away and you are nowhere near pushing.
15 minutes later Travis was sprinting into the hospital.
“What room is Y/N Kelce in?”
“Are you her husband?”
“Obviously what room?”
“1384.”
Travis took off running again. He burst into the room and to your side.
“Hi,” you said.
“Hey, how are you doing?”
“This is so fucking stupid. Why does it have to hurt this fucking badly.”
Travis looked at his mom.
“So labor makes her cuss like a sailor. I don’t know. Just breathe.”
“The doctor should be back any moment,” Donna said.
Travis pushed your hair off of your forehead. He kissed your forehead.
“Do not kiss me right now. You put me into this mess.”
“You asked for it,” he whispered into your ear.
“Shut the fuck up and quit touching me.”
Your doctor walked in shortly after. “Mr. Kelce, welcome to a party.”
“What’s going on Doc. She’s too early.”
“We will do everything we can to make sure both mom and baby are healthy but we are going to deliver your baby girl today. We have a c-section scheduled if needed but we are going to attempt to do a natural birth. If that is ok with you two.”
“Yes, I don’t want surgery.”
“Then we are going to do everything we can to make this as smooth of a process as possible.”
Time Skip
15 hours later it was time to push. Jason and Donna were in the waiting room with the girls. While Kylie and your mom were sitting on the couch in the corner. Travis was standing next to you holding your hand encouraging you.
“Come on, baby. You are doing so good.”
“Shut up Kelce. I hate this. I don’t want to do it anymore.”
“It’ll be worth it once we see her.”
“I know that. This just fucking hurts.”
Time Skip (again I’m sorry)
You were currently sleeping. You had given birth to a 2 pound baby girl. Who was currently looking at staying in the hospital for 8 weeks. The doctors said if they can get her weight up she can leave earlier. The doctors allowed your baby to be in your room with you. Travis was currently watching both of his girls sleep.
In his eyes, his life couldn’t get any better. He had everything he had ever wanted. And you had given him all of it. You were his end game. You had given him his baby girl. He couldn’t ask for anything else.
You were going to be discharged on Thursday. You had cried for an hour when they told you that you would be going home without your baby girl. Travis didn’t know how to help you anymore. All he wanted was for the two of you to be ok.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N: OMG they had the baby 13 weeks early. Name will be revealed shortly...
The KC Couple - Part 11
Warnings: language, pregnancy talk, that's all!
Word Count: 345
Week 10 - Bye Week
Travis was surprising you by seeing your best friend, in the whole entire world second to him, Taylor Swift. He was taking you to the Era’s tour in Argentina. It was the only time until after the season ended, you would be able to go, and at that point you would have a baby. It was the bye week. So this was the perfect time to go. You were 26 weeks pregnant, and you were really starting to feel it. You were constantly needing to go pee, your back was sore, and the cravings/trigger food were getting bad. Travis wanted to take you on a small trip to see your best friend perform.
Time Skip (November 11)
You were standing in the tent with Travis singing your heart out. You were so glad you could make it to Buenos Aires for the concert. Taylor was performing her best. You made plans earlier in the day to meet up after the show.
Taylor was doing the viral Vigilante Shit dance.
“You should learn this and do it,” Travis whispered in your ear.
You turned around and whacked his shoulder.
You were now watching Taylor perform her final song of the night, Karma. She had so much energy and you loved it. You had never seen Taylor happier while performing. She told you often how excited she was to be doing the Eras Tour.
After the Concert (Backstage)
You practically ran to Taylor.
“You were amazing!”
“Awe thanks girl.”
She led you to the bus.
“How’s our girl doing?”
“Me or her?” you said rubbing your bump.
“Both.”
“I’m fine. She is still a little underweight but she is doing better. But I am doing ok. But you should ask Trav how he is.”
“Ok?”
“I’m fine. You make it sound like something is wrong.”
“Not wrong, you are just constantly worried.”
“You heard the doctor. You could go into preterm labor. Of course I’m worried,” he responded. Taylor laughed.
You ended up talking with Taylor for 4 hours before you headed back to your hotel.
The KC Couple - Part 10
A/N: Nothing happened in weeks 6, 7, or 8. We played football. And I have no ideas to make a long part. So this is going to be a collection of weeks. Including week 9 but I have an idea for that part.
Word Count: 717
Warnings: language, pregnancy talk, injury,
Week 6 - 10/12 vs Denver Broncos
Chiefs win 19-8. Making the record 5-1. Travis did not get a touchdown.
The world was still blowing up about you and Travis announcing you were pregnant. You were currently 22 weeks pregnant. Brittany had thrown your baby shower the past Monday. You had so many things you didn’t know what to do with all of it. Baby K was still undersized. But she was growing, just slowly. Travis’s ankle was fine.
Week 7 - 10/22 vs Los Angeles Chargers
Chiefs win 31-17. Updated record of 6-1. Travis got a touchdown!!
You had known Justin Herbert through a friend of a friend and was excited to see him in L.A. You, Travis, Justin, and his girlfriend all met for dinner after the game. You were glad to see him and glad the chiefs came out on top.
Week 8 - 10/29 @ Denver Broncos
Chiefs lose 24-9. Updating the record to 6-2. The Chiefs didn’t score a touchdown…
This was the first time you were generally confused about how the team did not win. Everything in this game went wrong. Pat had the flu, his hands were getting messed up from the air. It had been a mess. The o-line was not helping at all. Travis was getting covered like crazy.
Week 9 - 11/5 vs Miami Dolphins in Germany
You were in Germany. You and Travis had decided that you would go to Germany with the team. The first time the team went, you didn’t go. You had something come up and wasn’t able to go last minute. You were sitting directly behind the Chief’s bench. Travis had gotten you the tickets. Directly on the 50-yard line. This was the closest you had sat in a while. You normally chose to sit in your suite. Mostly so you stayed out of the Kansas/Missouri weather.
Everything was going wrong. Miami’s defense was all over Travis. He couldn’t get anything. You could tell Pat was trying to get him the ball but it wasn’t going well. The o-line was letting everyone through. It felt like everytime Pat would throw the ball it was incomplete. The team wasn’t doing anything on third-downs.
You hadn’t sat down all game. You probably should have but you were to anxious. You watched the final play. Patrick threw the ball towards Trav. Trav got hit by a defender hard. He hit the ground hard. You were nervous. Please be ok. Please be ok. You thought to yourself. Creed Humphrey, the center for the Chiefs, helped Travis up. He seemed ok. You watched the clock run out. The Chiefs had won in Germany 21-14. But Travis had not got a touchdown.
Travis made eye contact with you. He walked over to you. He looked upset.
“Hey,” you said.
“Hi, baby girl.”
“You did amazing. I know it wasn’t what we expected but you still did good.”
“The defenders were on me every goddamn play I couldn’t do shit.”
“I know. I’ll meet you downstairs,”
“Ok.”
You leaned down to kiss him. He handed his gloves to two young kids next to you. A teenage girl came up to you.
“Can I take a picture with you?”
“Of course.”
You took the picture and she handed a friendship bracelet to you.
“I wanted to give this to you. It has Travis’s number on it.”
“Awe, thank you.
Time Skip
You met Travis in the family room. He was mad at himself and you could tell. He walked over to you and grabbed your hand.
“Can we just go back to the hotel?”
“Yeah, let me say goodbye to Brit then we can leave.”
He nodded his head and you said goodbye to Brittany.
Time Skip
It had been a long evening. Travis was angry. He took a long shower before snuggling up to you in your bed.
“You did good today.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Yes you did. The o-line was not helping defend anyone today. We knew Miami’s defense was good. You can’t control how many people they have covering you. You did what you could with what was given to you.”
You both fell asleep shortly after that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chiefs win 21-14. Updated Record of 7-2. Travis had basically no yards and did not get a touchdown.

The KC Couple - Part 9
Word Count: 1327
Warnings: language, pregnancy talk, hints to smut,
A/N: I am tag-teaming games. I am just going to give an update for week 4. I just didn't know what to write for the game part...
Week 4 - 10/1 @ New York Jets
Chiefs Win 23-20. Updated record of 3-1. Travis did not get a touchdown.
Y/N got ready to head to bed for the night. It was the night before the game in Minnesota and you were exhausted. You and Travis had ran around the house trying to get things ready for the upcoming week. It was a short week for the Chiefs. They had a game tomorrow, which was October 8, then another game on Thursday, the 12th. You knew it was going to be chaotic and you were expecting it. You were glad it was a home game on Thursday.
Travis was currently in the basement of the house working out. He wanted a light workout but didn’t want to go to the facility. You knew his workouts like the back of your hand, and you knew he was almost done. You walked into Travis’s office and plugged in his iPad for the rest of the night.
Travis came back upstairs a few moments later.
“I was gonna hop in the shower. Do you wanna join me?”
“If I join you we will be in there a lot longer than we need to be. And you need to finish getting everything ready for the big game.”
“Ugh, ok. I’ll be out in a minute.
Travis came out shortly after. He wrapped his arms around your waist rubbing your bump.
“She is growing.”
“Yeah she is supposed to be growing.”
“I know but she is growing even with her being underweight.”
You started to tear up.
“What? What’s wrong?”
“What if she comes early and we can’t control it?”
“We will deal with that if it happens and if it does it will be ok.”
“What if she comes during one of your games. Then what do I do?”
“Oh. I didn’t really think about that. I don’t know.”
“Travis, that doesn’t make me feel better.”
“I’m sorry. I’ll talk to management and Coach tomorrow morning about what to do.”
“Ok. What time do you guys leave tomorrow?”
“I don’t want to tell you.”
“What time Travis?”
“7.”
“Are you serious? It is a primetime game.” (A/N: I know it isn’t an actual primetime game but just roll with it.)
“I don’t know that is just what coach told us.”
“Ok. So what time are you leaving here?”
“Like 6:30. I’m not getting there any fucking earlier than I need to.”
“Awe you just want to spend the most amount of time with me before you leave.”
“Duh. I fucking love you.”
Time Skip to the next morning
Travis woke up around 6 and finished getting everything ready to go and took it downstairs to the living room. He came back upstairs and kissed your forehead.
“Are you leaving?” you asked, keeping your eyes closed.
“Yeah. I’ll call you when we land in Minnesota.”
“Ok, love you.”
“Love you too baby.”
3 hours later
Travis had no idea that you were currently on a plane to Minneapolis, Minnesota. You were still good to fly and wanted to surprise Travis. This would probably be the last away game you would go to before you started staying home. You had already planned everything out with Coach Reid. Saying that you were going to be surprising Travis on the sidelines during warm ups. Coach said warm ups would start around 5:30. The flight to Minneapolis was only an hour and a half long from Kansas City.
You made it to your hotel room around 12. You were going to meet Brittany for lunch and then go shopping for a bit before heading to the stadium.
Warm Ups
You were currently standing on the sidelines with a bunch of fans. You waited for about 15 minutes before the Chief’s players came out of the tunnel to the field. You saw Travis immediately, and a security guard came over to take you to the bench. You watched Travis for a bit before he came over to get a drink of water. You hid behind a group of people and waited. Once he had set the water bottle back down and turned his back you ran up behind him. He turned around and looked shocked.
“What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to surprise you.”
“I am definitely surprised. Hi.”
“Hi. You looked good out there.”
He blushed.
“Thanks pretty girl.”
“Are you nervous?”
“No, my knee was feeling a little sore but it is good now.”
“Ok. I am excited to watch you play.”
“I am excited you are here. I was nervous that for the short week this week we wouldn’t be able to see each other as much as normal. So I am glad I get to see you now.”
“I think this will be my last week coming to away games until Baby K comes.”
“I think we should announce baby K to the world today. I want to tell everyone.”
“Ok. I was gonna talk to you about that tomorrow. But I like that idea. What if once you guys come back out in uniform we get Brittany to take a picture of you kneeling down kissing my currently hidden bump.”
“Oh I like that.”
You gave him a few more kisses before he had to go back to the locker room to change. You went over to Brittany and told her the plan. She was excited to tell everyone.
You waited a few more minutes before the team came back out. The stadium booed. You made your way back to Travis. You took off your jacket, that was hiding your bump. You were close enough to the stands to hear people asking if you were pregnant. Travis knelt down and kissed your bump as Brittany took the photo. She sent it to you immediately. Travis stood back up and kissed you.
“Good luck out there. Stay safe. Get a touchdown or two. I love you.”
“I’ll try. I love you too. Go enjoy the good pretzels you like when we come here.”
You watched him run back onto the field.
2nd Quarter of the Game
It was the second quarter and you were sitting next to Brittany in a suite. You watched as Patrick threw the ball to Travis. Travis went to run the ball before getting caught up in the turf. He hit the ground immediately.
“Come on Trav,” you said, getting anxious immediately.
“He’s ok,” Brittany said, trying to reassure you.
Travis limped off the field to the bench. The camera zoomed in on his face. He looked like he was in pain.
“It’s a low ankle sprain,” you said staring into the TV screen on the wall.
“It’ll be fine. He’s ok. He’ll go in and get an X-ray in a minute.”
“Nothing is worse than our rookie season and the two concussions he had in the 2017 season.”
“See that is somewhat positive.”
Time skip
Travis came back out in the second half looking like it hadn’t even happened. He went on to score a touchdown. The Chiefs won 27-20. Making the record 4-1.
You headed down to the family waiting area. Travis and his teammates came out about an hour later. Travis came over to you.
“How’s our photo? Did it blow up the world?” he asked you.
You hadn’t looked at your phone the entire game. You posted the photo shortly after kick-off, then turned your phone off for the rest of the game.
“I don’t know, let's check.”
You scrolled through the comments for a little bit. Most of your followers were ecstatic over the news. You had a few rude comments here and there but you had gotten used to them and learned to ignore them. Your normal posts got about 1-2 million likes, but this photo was currently sitting at 4.8 million likes. With the caption: “Mommy and Daddy can’t wait to bring you to your first game. We can’t wait to share our bundle of joy with the world. Baby Kelce (or Baby K) coming 2024.”

The KC Couple - Part 8
Warnings: medical talk, talk of pre-term labor
Word Count: 713 words
A/N: I'm posting again??? I finally have motivation to work on this story. So enjoy!!!
Interviewer: So we heard that you weren’t going to the game on Sunday. What happened?
Y/N: Yeah, with the news from last week about my unpredictable blood pressure and the fact that Baby Kelce is underweight, it's been a stressful time. Travis and I had a conversation about the best plan for this week, and we decided it would be best if I stayed home for the game. Usually, I get pretty worked up at games. I grew up watching football, especially watching Travis, so I can feel the tension, and it tends to get me anxious. We also heard that the stadium is sold out, which factored into the decision.
Travis: We're doing whatever it takes to keep her blood pressure in check. Even though we know she'll still be stressed watching the game at home, at least she can relax and lie down. With Baby Kelce being undersized, we're taking extra precautions to help them reach a healthier size and weight. It will take some time, but we're doing everything we can.
Interviewer: With Baby Kelce being undersized, is there a risk of early/preterm labor?
Y/N: There's always a risk of preterm labor with any pregnancy, but with Baby K being undersized, the risk is slightly higher. We're taking the necessary precautions, and our doctor is keeping a close eye on both of us. As we get closer to the due date, if we happen to be in the Super Bowl, we'll take even more significant precautions. For now, we're hoping to reach the due date.
Interviewer: Now, let's get back to the topic of tomorrow's game. What does a normal home game look like for you?
Y/N: A typical home game day involves Travis needing to arrive at Arrowhead about 3 hours before kickoff, though he usually gets there about 4 hours in advance.
Travis: I'll get there around 11:30 AM. I start with a shorter workout that lasts about half an hour. Then, I do a pregame interview, which usually takes an hour. After that, I head out to the parking lot to call Y/N. Then, I embark on the familiar walk to the stadium that everyone sees on game day. We go through warm-ups, not yet dressed in uniform, which takes about an hour. After that, it's back to the locker room to get dressed before heading out.
Y/N: I aim to arrive at the stadium about an hour and a half before kickoff. I go straight to our suite to drop off my belongings, grab some food, and relax. Once Travis and the team head back to the locker room to prepare, I make my way down to the field to give him a pre-game kiss. I typically stay on the field until after kickoff and then head back up to the suite to watch the game.
Interviewer: What's your favorite part about attending games, both at home and away?
Y/N: Home games are fantastic because of the massive crowd. Kansas City fans are a blast. They dress up with incredible enthusiasm, they bring so much energy to the stadium, and it adds to the excitement of the game day experience.
Interviewer: Would you say the fans add to the atmosphere of the game?
Travis: I would say as a player I love hearing the fans get super excited. If there is a bad call you can 100% guarantee that the fans are going to be mad. And I would say around the league but especially with Chiefs fans, they are vocal. They are yelling booing. It’s kind of ridiculous but I love it.
Interviewer: What do you expect out of this season?
Travis: Honestly, nothing special. I’m gonna go out and play like I normally do. I hope we go to the playoffs but you never know what is going to happen. I hope we go to the super bowl but we never know. I can’t control what 100% happens. I am hoping my knee stays ok. I feel good right now. Hoping that it stays that way but we never know.
A Few Hours LaterInterviewer: It is after the game. Final score 41-10 Chiefs win big. Travis did get a touchdown today. Updated record of 2-1

I'm Always Here - Part 3
Warnings: hospital, passing out, pregnancy, drinking (of age), hints of sex, language, medical talk, bleeding, talk of death of baby,
Word Count: 1531
1 month later
You were in the hospital. Three months ago you passed out in your bedroom. After 3 minutes of you not waking up Travis called 911. Once at the hospital, you guys found out that you were pregnant. You got nervous. Honestly you didn’t know if it was Travis’ or Sam’s.
You saw Travis at the bar. Your mom had convinced you to go to a party and now here you were. You were already very drunk.
Your mom was watching Avery, so you wouldn’t have to worry about getting home to her until the following morning.
You got up heading to the bathroom and saw Travis get up, out of the corner of your eye. You walked to the bathroom and then was pushed up against the wall.
“Hi.”
“Hello pretty girl.”
You couldn’t remember much of the night. But you did remember waking up the next morning, naked in Travis’ bed.
You were still shocked today. The doctor was nervous about your blood pressure and wanted to keep you in the hospital until they could keep it under control for more than 24 hours. Which had yet to happen.
Travis walked in with at least five bags in his hands. You looked over and saw him walking in.
“What is all of that?”
“Options.”
“Of?”
“Everything. I thought I would go shopping and buy some self care items for you.”
“Travis, that bag says Louis Vuitton.”
“I may have also bought a lot of other things too. It’s all for you. Actually, I lied. I bought some things for Avery too.”
You laughed, smiling and moved over on the bed for him.
“So this all is from Ulta. I got your favorite makeup and skin care. And I got you new shampoo since you said you were out. I got you a new Louis Vuitton purse. I call it the mom purse. But I also got Avery a backpack.”
“They gave me a due date and they’re gonna run a paternity test.” You said.
“Oh.”
“You said that in a bad way.”
He grabbed your hand, “no, it’s just I want it to be mine.”
“I want it to be yours too. But what if it isn’t?”
“I’ll love it like my own. Always will. Does the due date match with our timeline?”
“Yeah, but I was with Sam the night before too. I’m so scared Travis. I haven’t even told him I’m pregnant yet.”
The nurse walked in.
“We’re gonna do the test now so we’re gonna need a sample from Mr. Kelce.” The nurse says.
“Ok.”
Travis nodded and went downstairs to give them his blood sample.
You waited a couple minutes before he came back into your room.
“Can we facetime Avery?”
Avery had been staying with Travis’s mom while you were in the hospital. Travis occasionally was with her, but with practice and wanting to stay with you as much as possible, it had to choose.
“Hey Travis.” His mom answered smiling.
“Hey.” You smiled, “how is Avery?”
“She’s good. She really misses you guys.”
You bursted into tears. Travis rubbed your arm. Seconds later you saw Avery appear she was eating cookies.
“Hi mama,” Avery said.
“Hi baby girl. How are you?”
“I good, mama. I love Gamma Donna.”
“I bet you do. I miss you baby. I love you.”
“We love you baby. Be good for Grandma Donna,” Travis says.
“I will.”
The doctor knocked on the door and they hung up on FaceTime.
“Dr. Stevens, right?” Travis asked.
“Yes.” He said, “how’s everything going today?”
“I’m okay. Can we just get to it?” you said, not wanting to make small talk.
“The test results.” He pulled them up on the iPad.
“Yes, the fucking test results. What else?” you snapped.
“They match.”
“So Travis is the father?” you asked.
“Travis is the father.”
You started to cry. Travis pulled you in for a hug.
“Oh thank the fucking lord,” Travis says.
He kissed the top of your head. You kissed him and it was a long passionate kiss. He loved it.
“I have some other news as well,” Dr. Stevens said.
“Ms. Y/L/N—“
“What is it?”
“You can officially go home. Your blood pressure has been stable since yesterday morning. Meaning we hit our 24 hour mark.”
Two hours later
Travis was helping you into the car. You were happy to be heading to Donna’s for a bit. Travis was going to be staying there with you as well.
You reached Donna’s house, when you felt all your emotions be released. You started to tear up.
“Honey what’s wrong?” Travis asked, looking confused and scared.
“I’m just so glad we are going home. I missed Avery so bad, and our bed, and not being bothered 24/7.”
He chuckled, nodding, “Yeah mom won’t bother you she’ll check in on you every once in a while.”
“Yeah I missed her too, especially her cooking.”
“Me too. Let’s go get out girl though. I missed her hugs.”
Travis helped you out of the car and up to the front door.
You both walked in and he got you settled into the guest room. Avery by your side. Travis went into the kitchen.
“Hey, I didn’t even herer you guys come in,” Donna said, walking over to hug Travis.
“Sorry mom, she’s settled into the guest room with Avery. We’re having another baby.”
“Oh that’s good.”
“Yeah, but anyway. I’m gonna grab some food and go get settled.’
“Oh, I made dinner. I’ll heat it up and bring it to you guys,” Donna said.
“Thanks mom, I’m gonna help her shower and see if Avery wants any dinner. I’ll see you in a bit, okay?” Travis says to his mom.
Travis goes upstairs and walks into the bathroom. He begins getting it ready for her shower. He puts her towel in the towel warmer.
“Daddy, can I watch tv?” Avery asked.
“Yeah that’s fine baby girl.”
You turn the tv on a Disney movie and Avery becomes engrossed.
“Come on baby,” Travis whispers in your ear.
He helped you into the bathroom and into the shower. The hot water soothes your skin and muscles. Travis helped you finish washing up and drying off.
You get back in bed and eat dinner. You finally get relaxed as you snuggle up next to Travis. You love this man.
“I love you, Travis.”
“I love you too?”
“I just wanted to tell you. I don’t think I could ever find anyone else like you.”
“Well good, because you are stuck with me no matter what.”
“Geez that’s harsh. I could always run away and marry Jason.” You laughed at his facial expression, “ I mean he's got a great beard.”
“Yeah, I don’t think Kylie would let that happen.”
“You can’t see all three of us being in a relationship?” you laughed.
“Oh my god your nuts.”
“You’re finally realizing this?”
“Nah, I’ve known since day one.”
The Next Day
You woke up to the sun shining through the curtains. You rolled over to find Travis’ side of the bed empty. You felt a wetness under your legs. You moved the comforter to find a blood stain.
“Donna!” You shout as panic runs down your body.
She comes running in with Kylie and they both see the blood.
“I’ll call Travis,” Kylie says.
Donna helps you into the bathroom to help you change into new pants.
“Travis is on his way,” Kylie comes in.
“I can’t lose this baby. I can’t. I might not survive it.”
“Honey, we're here for you.” Kylie says.
“No, Kylie you don’t understand. I can't. If I lose this baby, I won’t survive.”
“You have us, Avery, and Travis.”
“Stop, you don’t understand. Yeah, Travis was happy when we found out about Avery, but we were also 19 and we were scared. When I told him I was pregnant again he lit up. I have never seen him happier. I can’t take this away from him.”
Minutes later Travis bolted into the house and flew up the stairs. He heard the women talking. He listened, staying outside the bathroom.
It killed him to hear you blame yourself for this. He ran into the room about a minute later.
“Travis?” you asked.
He hugged you. You lost it.
“I’m so sorry, travis.”
“No, do not fucking apologize. You did not do anything. We are gonna go to the hospital and they are going to say that nothing is wrong.”
“Travis, something is fucking wrong, I’m bleeding.”
He carefully picked you up and ran out towards the car.
“Travis stop!”
He didn’t listen. He went to the hospital. He didn’t care. He wanted them both to be okay. He was nervous.
Once you made it to the hospital, he got you out of the car and rushed into the emergency room.
“Help, my girlfriend is pregnant and she is bleeding,” he yelled.
Someone helped the two of you to a room and got some tests started. About an hour later, a doctor came in.
“Mr. Kelce and Ms. Y/L/N–”
“Mr and Mrs Kelce, please,” you said.
“I–”

I’m Always Here - Part 2
Word Count: 2329
Warnings: language, arguing, hints of sex, passing out
A/N: this is part two to the “I’m Always Here” story. We just started writing part 6. So get excited.
7 months later
The Notre Dame stadium was packed with fans. You and Avery were on the sidelines, waiting for Sam to come to them. It was a night game which you loved. Sam’s parents watched them.
The lights in the stadium went out.
“You ready Avs?”
She nodded, smiling.
You walked towards the locker room. You and Avery waited outside the locker room.
The boys came out of the locker room and Sam was last. He walked over.
“Hey there’s my fav girls,” he said as he walked over and grabbed Avery and kissed you.
“Are you nervous?” Y/n asked.
“Nah, it's a normal everyday game. You know how it is,” he says. He gives Avery a kiss on the top of her head and hands her back to you.
“Good luck handsome.” You smile.
You watched as he walked off.
“Alright Avs here we go.”
“Yay, it’s time to watch dada play!” she said. You winced a little hoping that she wouldn’t get too attached just in case.
It was freezing at halftime.
“Mama I cold,” Avery said.
“I know, baby. Let’s go get you a new sweatshirt. We’ll make Sam pay for it.”
You went to the store inside the stadium.
“Which one do you want, babygirl?” you asked Avery.
She pointed to one with Sam’s number on it. You took it off the hanger and took it to the counter to pay for it.
“Crap I don’t have my-“
“I’ve got it.” Y/n heard from behind her.
You turned to look.
“Travis. Uh no it’s ok. I’ll just run down to the locker room and see if they can give me one of Sam’s.”
“Nah I got it.”
“No, Travis. It’s fine. I don’t need you to buy it.”
“Hey I gotcha.” It was Alex, an assistant of the team.
“Thanks Alex.”
“So you’re gonna let a random guy buy MY daughter a sweatshirt but not me?” Travis said, raising his voice.
You picked up Avery and walked away with the sweatshirt. You helped her put it on heading to the locker room.
“No, Y/N get the fuck back here. We aren’t done talking.”
You walked faster holding her tighter and saw Sam when you rounded the corner.
“Take her please,” you said as you handed Avery to Sam. You turned towards Travis. “Out now. We will talk, but not in front of her.”
“You’re joking?”
“No, now move.”
You both walked out of the locker room.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Travis asked you.
“Excuse me?”
“You aren’t around for like 7 months and all of sudden you come to Sam’s game and offer to buy MY daughter a sweatshirt. You showed up out of nowhere trying to act like father of the year. Well guess what Travis. You aren’t father of the year. You aren’t even a father.”
He looked at her.
“What the fuck do you mean I’m not a father?” he looked at her.
“You don’t have anything to do with her.”
“But I want to have something to do with her though.”
“Why you’re bored with Taylor fucking Swift already? That was fucking fast. At least with me you had a child. What 4 months with her and you’re ready to leave her behind?”
“It’s not like-“
“Not like what Travis?!”
“I want to have Avery in my life. I just messed up. Taylor has really helped me turn my life around. I haven’t been drinking as much, really not at all. I regret everything that I said that night. I miss you. Yeah I like Taylor, but you and I were different.”
“I’m not forgiving you so easily, we’ll talk later on about this. I need to get this together and think it over.”
“When can we talk?”
“I don’t know Travis. This is a lot to think about. And I hate to break it to you, but she has gotten really close with Sam and I hate to split them up.”
“So what? You’re saying he’s her new dad?”
“Yeah, in her head.”
“Why the fuck would you let that happen?”
“You have not been around for her, Travis. You walked out. Not me. He has been there for her time and time. He was there when she had the flu, when she cut her knee open at daycare and I was at work. He was there when you weren’t.”
You walked away not caring anymore.
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have reacted like that.”
“Travis, quit. Go home. I’ll call you sometime next week.”
“Next week?”
“Yes Travis. Because I have a new life. Where I have a full-time job and a kid at home that I take care of. I’ll call you next week when I have time.”
“Ok. Can I at least say hi to her?”
“Why don’t we all go to dinner? She needs to eat and you guys can see each other.”
——
That following week she was at a dinner party all dressed up attending by herself. She was wearing a Swarovski crystal dress that had a thigh high slit. She walked into the room and saw a ton of people.
She had been asked to go by one of Sam’s bosses. Told she was to make an appearance to show she was supportive. She didn’t want to go. But she especially didn’t want to go because Travis was rumored to be at the party with Taylor.
She saw Travis alone.
“Where’s Taylor?” You asked.
“She’s not here.” He said.
“No shit Sherlock. Where is she?”
“Well, we broke up.”
“I’m so sorry Travis.”
“It’s ok. She didn’t like what happened between the two of us. And she said that what I said was stupid. And that I should have never treated you and Avery like that.”
She sat beside him.
“I really do love you, Y/N.”
“Travis, if you are drunk right now and telling me that I will murder you.”
He looked at her.
“And will chop off your dick.”
“I’m not drunk. I promise. But I am telling you the truth, I never once stopped loving you. And I will attempt to make it up to you every single day if you let me.”
“ Travis, I am with Sam. And you know that.”
“I know, but I promise I’ll be more active in Avery’s life.”
“I love Sam.”
“You love him?”
“I do. But I also love you. But you hurt me. More than anyone else has hurt me.”
“I know I’m so sorry. But at least let me be in Avery’s life, please.”
“Ok. Come over tomorrow, and let’s sit down and talk. Ok?”
He nodded.
“I’ll text you the address and come over around 11.”
“So , can I ask, where’s Avery tonight?”
“Not that you really need to know, but she’s with Sam.”
He nodded.
“I’m gonna head home. I’ll see you tomorrow.” you said to him.
He leaned in and kissed you.
——
Travis pulled into the driveway and parked the car. He walked up to the front door of your house and knocked. You opened the door slightly.
“Hey, um come in.”
Travis walked in seeing her in a robe.
“Um, did I come at a bad time?”
“No, you came at the right time. I wasn’t paying attention.”
“Baby, who is at the door?” Sam yelled from your bedroom, as he walked out from your guys’ bedroom naked.
“Oh,” Sam said, walking back behind the corner.
You crossed your legs hoping Travis wouldn’t notice.
“Um, I can go back outside for a minute or ten. So you guys can get situated,” Travis said.
“No, you can stay here. Avery is still napping but if you want to wait about an hour she should be awake. We tried to get her napping schedule to line up with you coming over, but it didn’t work out.”
You walked back towards your bedroom, pulling Sam in too.
In your room
“What the fuck, Y/N? You said 11.”
“It is 11. Don’t yell at me cause you were too busy with your own problems.”
“My problems?”
“Yeah, your problem. Your problem of acting the world revolves around you because you are some hotshot college football star.”
“Where the fuck is this coming from?”
“I don’t know. Maybe you should go. I think this will be better for Travis, Avery and I to talk.”
“Talk about what. Are we done?”
“Maybe. You haven’t been around as much as you were in the beginning. And now ever since Travis said he wanted to be around you have caused problems every day.”
“I’m gonna go then. I’ll come back tomorrow to grab the rest of my things,” Sam said, grabbing his clothes and going into your connected bathroom.
– –
She looked at Travis, “sorry” you mouthed.
He shook his head. “It’s fine,” he said.
“No it’s not, that was messed up. But anyway Avery should be walking up anytime soon.”
“Ok.”
You walked into the bathroom and grabbed the counter.
You let out a shaky breath. Tears sprung to your eyes. You felt a presence behind you.
“It’ll be ok, you know,” Travis said.
“They are just so close. I don’t want to ruin that.”
She turned around and hugged him.
“You know I love the both of you right?”
“Yeah, I know. But can I be honest?” you asked
“If you tell me that you are in love with me too, I might do something that we regret.”
“What if I want you to?”
Travis kissed you.
“You mean that?”
You kissed back. Travis put you on the counter. Things got heated fast.
——
About an hour later, you woke up to Avery crying. Travis bolted to her.
“Babygirl, what’s wrong.” He asked, hugging her.
“Nightmare.”
“Daddy’s here babygirl nothing is gonna get you.”
“Daddy, I hungry. I want pancakes,” Avery saud with a massive smile on her face.
You were standing in the doorway.
“Should we make pancakes for mommy?”
“Yeah.”
Travis set Avery down and she took off running towards the kitchen.
“I’m glad we are doing this,” you said as Travis pulled you in for a hug.
“Me too. I think it will be good for her. And us.”
“I think we should definitely talk though. I’m technically still with Sam.”
“After the argument you guys had you’re gonna say you are still together.”
“Well, I didn’t 100% say I wanted to break up with him.”
“So what was that we just did?”
“I don’t know Travis. I want this to happen but I need to officially end things with Sam before we happen.”
He sighed.
“Travis-“
“I’m gonna go make pancakes with Avery.”
Travis went to go make pancakes with Avery. You sat there on the bed wondering what to do. You got up and went into the kitchen.
You saw Travis and Avery with flour all over the kitchen.
“Hi mama,” Avery said.
“Hi baby girl. How’s the pancakes coming?”
“Good. Daddy burnt one though.”
“Oh that’s ok. I bet there are more that are good.”
You and Travis made eye contact.
You began cleaning up Avery and the kitchen getting rid of the flour. You were wiping down the counters when you both heard Avery run into the living room. You chuckled.
“Mama, can we watch football?”
“Avs it’s Saturday. It’s only college today.”
“Oh. Okay.”
“Travis, do you play tomorrow?”
“Yeah. It’s a home game against the Broncos. Do you guys want to go?”
“Um, it depends on what time it is.”
“It’s a noon game.”
“What are we doing? What are we? Cause we had-“

I’m Always Here - Part 1
Travis Kelce x Reader
Use of Y/N
Warnings: alcohol, language, arguing, Travis being a little shithead ( I think that’s it)
Word Count: 1088
A/N: this is a co-author story. My co-author doesn’t have a tumblr so she can’t be tagged but she is amazing. This is part of a series I have no clue how long the series will be but here is part one.
We are currently working on part five so i’ll try to get parts 2-4 posted as well. Hopefully I will be able to post a new part once a day (hopefully).
So enjoy part one of I’m Always Here
It was around one am when Y/N heard the garage door open and close. She put down the glass of wine on the coffee table. She had just put her three year old daughter, Avery, to bed. She saw Travis come stumbling in.
“Have a good time?” she asked sarcastically. He stopped knowing he was caught red handed.
“I know where you were Travis,” she took a sip from the glass.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Travis said.
“Don’t fucking lie to me Travis.”
“I was just out with the guys celebrating the win.”
“Travis, I am not even gonna argue with you and cause a fight.”
“I’m not trying to start anything.”
“Yeah sure you are, by coming home drunk! It’s all you ever are anymore.”
“No it’s not. I didn’t last night.”
“I didn’t even see you last night. So how do I know you weren’t?” she said, starting to yell.
“Y/N”
“No! Travis! You're not doing this to me! I’ve defended you many times! Every damn time people say I’m naive or stupid!”
Travis looked at her. “I never fucking asked you to defend me.”
“Do not yell at me. You will wake up your daughter and I just got her back to sleep.”
“I am getting tired of you telling me when I can go out with my friends and teammates and when I can’t”
“Travis, we are not in college anymore. We have a three year old daughter. I need you. She needs you. We need you in our lives. I don’t want to be with someone who clearly doesn’t want to man up.”
“Tomorrow morning pack your shit and leave with Avery.”
“You can’t be serious Travis.”
“If you are gonna say that I don’t want to be Avery’s dad, then I don’t need to be.”
“Travis, that is not what I’m fucking saying. I just need you to be there. I can’t do this on my own.”
“Well now you are on your own. I never asked to have a child. I never asked to do this.”
“You made the decision to be a father when we slept together.”
“I’ll sleep downstairs on the couch. I don't want to be in the same room as you.”
“Travis, please come upstairs.”
“Why Y/N? You and I are over. I can’t keep being harassed by you to stay home and to raise a child I didn’t ask for.”
“I didn’t ask for her either. But here I am. I stepped up. I am having to be two parents because you won’t step up.”
That next morning Y/N woke up and grabbed hers and Avery’s bags. She put them in the suv she got herself. Y/N got Avery sleeping in the car seat. She got in the driver's seat and started the car heading to her parents. Y/N didn’t even know what to think. She was shocked about the effect of the night. All she wanted was for Travis to take responsibility not for her to be driving to her parents to be a single parent. She pulled into her parents driveway an hour later.
“Y/N?” her mom said from the front porch.
Y/N parked her car and got Avery out of the car. “Grammy,” Avery said as she ran towards her grandma.
“Hi, mom,” Y/N said.
“What are you guys doing here?”
“Travis and I are not together anymore.” She told her mom.
“What?”
“We got in an argument last night. I asked him to step up and be a father and he said he didn’t want her and told me to leave. So I did.”
“Honey.”
“Mom, I don’t want sympathy.”
“Honey, he hurt you.”
“I don’t need him.”
“Baby,”
“Mom I’m gonna just get Avery down to nap and think about everything.”
“I can get her down. You figure out what you are gonna do.”
“Ok.”
It had been a couple hours of Y/N mindlessly scrolling trying to find an apartment. She actually found a house within a budget that she could afford. Y/n owned a business and it was paying off. Y/n put an offer on the house and it was accepted almost immediately. Y/n headed to the kitchen, in her parents house, she immediately saw her father sitting at the kitchen table.
“Hey dad, you still have Travis’ phone number right?” she asked. “I’m, I believe so. Why what’s up sweetie?”
“I need you to call him and ask if I can come by and get the test of my stuff.”
“Oh yeah I’ll give him a call.”
“Thanks dad.”
Y/n walked up stairs to her bedroom and got ready to go to sleep.
1 Month Later
Travis saw a newer car pull in and didn’t know who it was. Until Y/n got out. She looked good and began walking up the driveway.
“Hey Y/N how are you? Where’s Avery?”
“I’m fine Kelce. She’s with my parents. Can you just unlock the door so I can get my stuff and leave?” He opened the door and she walked in.
“Where’s my stuff? You said you had it all ready by the door for me.”“It’s over there.”
“Thanks” she grabbed the boxes and walked out the door.
“I’m signing my rights over to you. I don’t want to see her. I don’t need to see her. Good luck, I'll send you money each month for her.” Y/n started to tear up, but quickly got in her car where Travis couldn’t see her. She starts the car and Sam's name  pops up on the screen. She answered.
“Hey.” She tried to sound cheery.
“What’s wrong baby?” Sam said.
“I’m just glad that I'm leaving Travis. He is just rude to me and he doesn’t want to be a dad. He said he is going to sign his rights over.”
“That’s just…”
“Sam, can you meet me at the house?”
“Yeah I’ll be there as soon as possible.”Y/n drives back to her apartment already seeing Sam and Avery playing outside at the playground. Y/n walks over to them.
“Thanks for getting Avery. You didn’t have to,” y/n said, eyes still red and puffy from crying. She sniffled, causing Avery to look at her.
“What’s wrong Mama?” Avery asked as she ran over and gave her mom a hug.
“I’m fine honey.”
“Then why are you crying mama?”
“I was just upset, baby girl. But I’m ok now.”

The KC Couple Pt 7
Week 1 - 9/7 vs Detroit Lions
Word Count: 2197
Warnings: language, talk about pregnancy, talk about weight and feeling overweight
WEDNESDAY NIGHT (NIGHT BEFORE THE GAME)
You could hear Travis groaning as he made his way to the couch. “Are you ok baby?” you asked him. “It just fucking hurts. How the fuck did I get this hurt from a non-contact injury?” he responded. “I don’t know baby, come sit down.” Travis sat down next to you. You laid your head down on his lap. “How are you feeling mama?” he asked you as he brushed your hair with his fingers. “My back hurts a bit, I had heartburn earlier, I feel like I could  sleep for days. But other than that I’m good.” “How big is our baby this week?” “The size of a pomegranate.” “When can we find out the gender?” “My mom will be here next Wednesday for our appointment to find out so we can’t know.” “And why can’t we know?” “So it is a surprise for the Gender Reveal Party. It is just a thing. We aren’t supposed to know so we are gonna let my mom find out at the appointment instead of us.” You slowly started to fall asleep. “I’m gonna watch some film. Is that ok?” Travis asks you. “Yeah, I’m probably gonna fall asleep.” “Ok, sleep well baby.”
Travis watched film for about an hour, before deciding to get up and get ready for the game the following day. He lifted your head slightly and moved a pillow under it. You knew he would be needing to get ready. You slept for about another hour and a half before deciding to get up. You could hear Travis moving around upstairs. You slowly headed upstairs, you stood in the doorway watching him go around the room, frantically looking for things. “Hey, handsome, you need some help?” “Yeah, do you know where my AirPods are? And my red long sleeve practice shirt? And–” “Slow down, handsome. Your AirPods are downstairs charging, I plugged them in this morning. Your long sleeve practice shirt is in your locker. I remember seeing it yesterday when I came by.” “I’m sorry. I’m stressed for tomorrow.” “Why are you stressed?” “Because I’m not playing and I feel bad because I have a non-contact practice injury. I should be playing tomorrow.” But you are not. So take a second to chill and breathe. It’s almost 11pm. Let’s get ready for bed, I’m getting sleepy.” “Ok mama, let’s get you to sleep.”
THURSDAY MORNING (DAY OF THE GAME)
You woke up the next morning, with Travis not in bed. You checked your phone and the time said 8:39. Yout got out of bed and headed downstairs to the kitchen. You saw Travis making pancakes. “Hi, baby. Did you sleep good?” “No, your child sat on my bladder all night. I think I got up like 5 times to pee last night,” you said, walking over to him wrapping your arms around his bare torso. You had one of Travis’s old practice shirts on and a pair of underwear. Travis’s shirt going down to mid-thigh. Travis had a pair of shorts on, as he got pretty hot at night.
“Do you want chocolate chips in your pancakes today?” Travis asked you as he kissed the top of your head. “Yes please.” You kissed his chest. You were 5’5’ so Travis was taller than you by a foot. “Ok, pretty girl. As much as I love you hugging me, and I do love it. I need you to move so I can finish breakfast. Do you wanna sit on the counter?” Travis asked you. “I can’t get up there like I used to.” “Pretty girl, I can pick you up and put you in the counter.” “No, you can’t.” “Pretty girl, are you calling yourself too heavy or me not strong enough?” “I weigh too much, your strength isn’t gonna do anything.” “Y/N I don’t want to hear you ever say you are too heavy or fat. Do you hear me? You are perfect. Do you understand?” “But I don’t feel pretty?” “But you are honey. I love you. You are the most beautiful girl ever.” He walked towards you, spreading your legs so he could stand in between them. He grabbed your face with both hands. He leaned in towards you, and kissed you passionately. “I Love you more than anything. More than I like playing football.” “Liar.” “I’m serious. I love you more than I love playing under the prime time lights. You are perfect for me. I love you. And you are pregnant you are supposed to gain weight.” You giggled and looked up at him. “You promise?” “Have I ever lied to you?” He asked, smirking. “No.” “So why would I now?”
Travis and you finished breakfast and headed upstairs to your bedroom. “Trav, what time do you need to head to the stadium?” “I need to be there by 12:45,” he yelled from the bathroom. It was currently 10. You laid back down in your bed. Travis came out of the bathroom and laid next to you, pulling you into his chest. “You should probably get ready to go. Is your bag ready?” You asked him. “Yeah, it's ready. Which is why I am lying here with my wife.” “I should look through it.” “No, you can look through it after a bit. It’s only a 20 minute drive, we have time.
Time Skip
You watched Travis finish getting his shoes on. When finished he walked over to you on the couch. He leaned down and kissed your forehead. “I love you. I’ll see you in a bit ok?” “Ok, I’ll see you later. I'll probably leave here at 5:30,” you responded. He kissed your lips before grabbing his bag, keys and phone and heading to the door. He has been having a harder time leaving you to go to games. In the past he could leave like 8 hours before the game and be ok. Now, he wants to leave later and later. You haven’t asked him about it cause you wanted to see if it would resolve itself. You were nervous for how he would be the further along you got.
You finished getting ready and headed downstairs to grab the rest of your stuff. You headed out to your car, hoping you wouldn’t catch much traffic. You were leaving almost 30 minutes later than you thought you would. You decided to take a nap shortly after Travis left and woke up later than you had intended. You got to Arrowhead at 6:20. You headed straight into the family area hoping to see Travis before heading up to the suite to get dinner. You texted him that you were there. He came out of the locker room shortly after you texted him. He practically ran towards you. “Travis Michael, you are not supposed to run.” “I know I just had to see you, I missed you.”
“Travis, we should talk.” “What are you divorcing me, what is happening?” “What has been up with you recently?” “What are you talking about?” “You have been leaving later for practice and for games. You used to be able to leave just fine and now you don’t want to leave at all. I’m nervous when I get further along you aren’t gonna want to leave at all.” “I just don’t like leaving you because I feel obligated to be home with you. You are growing my child and I just want to be home with you. But I can't cause I have to go play football.” “Travy it’s ok. I am ok with you going to play football. It’s your job, your passion. We have talked about you playing in the NFL since we were like 5. Yes, I wish you could stay home with me, but you have to go play. And that is ok. You will be home after the game. It’s not like you are going off to war, I’ll see you in a couple of hours.” “I know but I just wish I could stay with you.” “Hey it’s ok. We will have 9 days without you needing to play a game. That gives us 9 days to spend together. I mean you have practice and the podcast but that is still time we get to spend together.” “Yeah,” he said while looking down. You wrapped your arms around his torso. “Hey go be the most supportive person to all your teammates ok. I’ll see you soon on the sideline ok?” “Ok, I love you.” “I love you too.”
Travis walked back into the locker room. You turned around and headed up to your suite. You immediately saw Donna with your favorite food. “Awe thanks Donna. You didn’t have to get me anything. I could've got it.” “It’s ok sweetheart. I wasn’t doing anything so I thought I’d get your favorite before the game started,” Donna said. It was almost time for kickoff, so you headed back down to the field. You waited for the Chiefs to run out of the tunnel. As soon as the players made it to the sideline, Travis walked out of the tunnel with Coach Reid. Coach Reid walked over to you, hugged you and said hi. Then Travis walked over saying hi and giving you a kiss on the lips. “Please be careful, stay calm on the sidelines. Don’t make your injury worse. Please,” you said looking up at him. “I’ll try my hardest. But I haven’t sat out in a while. So I can’t make any promises.” “Travis I need you to heal, and you can’t heal if you get worked up, are jumping up and down running back and forth.” “Ok!” Travis kisses you once more, before heading off to go with the team. You headed back up to the suite.
ACTUAL GAME
Travis would tell you that there had been bullshit calls throughout the game, but he really started to get frustrated towards the end of the game. Kadarius Toney dropped several passes and Travis was starting to get pissed off. The game was tied and the Chiefs were having to kick a field goal. (I can’t fully remember what happened and can’t go back and watch so we are just gonna pretend. Unless I’m correct.) Travis was pissed that the Chiefs were needing to kick a field gal. If Toney hadn’t dropped the ball they could’ve scored a touchdown and been up by 7.
It was the beginning of the fourth quarter. Detroit was winning by one and the Chiefs needed to score. Toney dropped the ball. Y/N looked towards the Kansas City bench, more specifically to where Travis was standing. You saw him wrap a towel around his head. You could tell he was getting frustrated. There was 1 minute and a half left before the end of the game. Detroit had the ball. They ran the ball again. There was now 1 minute and 2 seconds left. The Lions took a timeout. Then another timeout. There were now 2 seconds left. They snapped the ball and stood there. The Chiefs had lost. Travis turned towards your suite, making eye contact with you, and shaking his head. You saw him cuss.
The two teams shook hands and mingled for a little while before they headed towards their locker rooms. You hugged Donna goodbye and collected your things. You headed down to the family room and waited on Travis. After an hour and 45 minutes most of the players left the locker room and headed home. Patrick Mahomes (Pat) was the last to leave the locker room leaving Travis to be left in the locker room. Pat walked past his wife and kids straight to you. “YN, he needs you. Like really bad. He is in there pissed off at himself, he came in threw things around. He needs you,” Pat said. You nodded your head. “Good try tonight by the way. I’ll go get him.” You walked into the locker room.
You saw Travis sitting by his locker, his head hung low. You could hear the sniffling. You walked over to him and put your hand on his shoulder as you sat down. He turned his head towards you. “I should’ve been able to fucking play. This stupid fucking goddamn knee injury.’ He said moving his shoulder so your hand fell. “Travis, you cannot blame yourself for how today’s game went. Yes, we all wish you could’ve played but you didn’t. You couldn’t have controlled Toney dropping passes–” “Yeah but if I was playing we wouldn’t have had to rely on him to catch the ball. When he repeatedly dropped the ball.” “That’s on him. Pat’s job is to throw the ball, no one can control if the ball gets caught except the intended receiver. So please don’t be hard on yourself for things you can't control. You’ll be back next week. You are doing everything you need to, so you can play next week.” Travis grabbed your waist and pulled you towards him. You wrapped your arms around his neck. “Let’s go home, ok?” you asked him. He nodded his head against your torso.
