Take A Break - Hanbin x Lalisa
“I’m gonna die….” Jisoo whined, flopping to the ground. Jennie playfully kicked her and took a seat next to her as she took a swig out of her water bottle.
“Just one more time! We can get this right!” Lalisa tied her hair into a bun and put her hands on her hips as she scolded the others. “Come on, we’re never gonna debut if we don’t keep working!”
“There’s a difference between hard work and overworking yourself.” Chaeyoung voiced out, slumping next to Jennie. “We’ve gone over this choreo and switched the placement about ten times now. I don’t see a problem with a small break.”
“Yeah!” Jisoo agreed, eagerly getting up, “Can’t we just take a break?”
“But…” Pouting, Lalisa took a look at the only girl she could rely on left. But all it took was one look from Jennie for her to know it was over. “Fine….but I’m still practicing by myself, at least one of us needs to figure out how we’re doing this.”
“Go for it.” Jennie walked past her and out of the dance room. The dancer sulked as the others left her in the room to herself.
“Whatever.” She mumbled, pressing play on her phone and continuing to practice by herself. If she was going to be the only one perfecting her moves on the dance then so be it.
It had been a long time ever since Lalisa joined YG, but things were looking up for her ever since YG had a meeting with her , Jennie, Jisoo and Chaeyoung to announce they would debut soon. However, they were to perform a dance cover for one of the head directors soon in order to ensure their debut would be soon.
“And what’s goin on in here?” Flinching, she turned to see two of her seniors from iKON, Bobby and B.I.
“Oh hey, its Lalisa!” Bobby grinned. “Whats up, where are the others? Heard you guys are gonna debut soon!”
Stopping to pause her song, Lisa smiled back at him. “Hey Bobby. We were practicing earlier, but the others wanted a break so here we are.”
“Come on,” he groaned, “We’re practically friends, you don’t have to call me Bobby.”
“Anyways, Bobby, what are you two doing here?” Lalisa took the chance to glance at the man next to her friend, B.I. The two had never talked much other than when iKON would visit the trainees, but he seemed nice enough.
“Can’t you just call me Jiwon?” At her teasing smile he rolled his eyes playfully. “We had free time so we wanted to see what everyone’s up to. And then we heard that one of the directors was gonna come and check up on over here so we came to see for ourselves.”
She felt herself still and pale at his words. “What do you mean, a director’s coming over here to check up on us? When?”
“I don’t know,” Bobby shrugged nonchalantly as Lalisa panicked. “Soon, I guess?”
“Soon? But I’m the only one here, and we don’t have everything down yet!” Pacing, Lalisa found unfamilar hands on her shoulders and dark eyes staring into hers.
“Relax,” B.I.’s voice was soothing, and while it had been the only word she had heard him say it was enough to make her stop her movements. “Just breathe.”
Letting out the air she was holding in, she closed and opened her eyes to find them still in the same position as before. He flushed as he seemed to recognize the situation as well and stepped back, coughing awkwardly.
“Anyways…” Bobby cut in, looking at them suspiciously, “If you want, I can go look for the other girls for you.”
“You’re a lifesaver!” As she stepped forward to give him a hug, Bobby grabbed B.I. by his arm.
“You said you had trouble with your dance right? Hanbin can help you out while you wait!” Bobby gave him a supportive pat on the back.
“I can?” Bobby pinched him. “I can! I mean if you want.”
“Well….I’m gonna go find the girls!” Bobby gave them one last grin, sending a look to B.I. before closing the door behind him.
“Thank you B.I. This means alot to me.”
“You really don’t have to call me by my stage name.” He murmured. Lalisa’s eyes widened a bit and he avoided eye contact. “You knew me before I was B.I. Hanbin’s fine.”
“Oh well I thought that since we weren’t too close….” He scratched the back of his neck as she rambled and she gave a tentative smile and warmed at the small grin he gave back. “Well, thanks Hanbin.”
“S-so what are you having trouble with?” He seemed to turn red and walked past her as she went on her phone to pull up the video in question.
“So we’re doing a dance cover to this performance, but we’re just having trouble with placement of certain moves.” She felt him lean over her to look at the dance video of the group of female dancers performing. “They have about seven people in the video, but there’s only four of us and each time we try certain placements it we bump into each other.”
“Well, how about I see how you set it up?” Nodding Lalisa made her way towards the other side of the practice room.
“Jisoo’s here, I’m here, Jennie’s here and Chaeyoung’s here.” She marked their spots with her foot and stood in place. “Press play at 2:26.”
“Got it.” He muttered, skipping forward. Hearing the music start, Lalisa took a breath and started the choreo and swung her hips in place, switching her arm movements to the humming of the song. Making sure to put as much energy as she could in her movements, she tried her best to ignore the other person in the room. As she moved to her next spot, she stopped dancing and put her hands on her hips as she looked around the room.
“This part is the one we have a problem with.” She huffed out, only to pause at the dark look on his face. “Are you okay?”
He flushed and blinked, eyes widening as he stuttered out a small yes. “U-uhm maybe instead of being lined up here try going diagonal?”
“Like?” She tilted her head at him and he crossed over to where she was hesitantly.
“Like…put Jisoo here in the back left, you up here, Jennie in front of you, and Chaeyoung in front of her.”
“So I’d be here?” She furrowed her brows.
“No, you’d be blocking Jisoo like that.” He gently grabbed her waist. “Move a bit to the left.”
“Here?” She murmured, looking at the ground and avoiding eye contact.
“No,” His hands began to nudge her to the left before they firmly grabbed her. Looking up at him with wide eyes, Lalisa found herself looking right into Hanbin’s eyes. “Here.”
The room was suddenly alot smaller than she had remembered, and she couldn’t remember the last time she had inhaled. Hanbin’s eyes flickered to her lips, and in turn she found herself looking at his as well.
“Do you mind?” his voice was alot deeper than she remembered it as he leaned closer, and although her conscience was telling her that this wasn’t the best place to be kissing a coworker, nevertheless a senior in her company she gave a slight shake of her head.
And then his lips were on hers.
Unable to wrap her head around how she had gone from practicing a dance cover to making out with her senior in the very same room almost in less than a half hour, she chose instead to wrap her arms around his neck and pull him closer.
Deepening the kiss, Lalisa wondered in the back of her head on how bold Hanbin had gotten, although most of her thoughts were occupied with Hanbin’s lips and how soft they were and how nice his hair felt in her fingers and- when had he pushed her up against the wall?
Breaking the kiss, Hanbin panted and leaned his forehead against hers. He tentatively moved his hands to grab her thighs. “Is this okay?”
Although she knew that she probably shouldn’t be doing this sort of thing, Lalisa decided she didn’t care that much anymore, and reached up to undo her bun and pull him in for another kiss while he took her initiative and lifted her up to press her into the wall. She let out a small whimper into his lips as he grinded into her.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured into her neck as she clawed at his back, “Holy shit.”
Hearing voices pass by the room, Lalisa’s eyes widened and she stopped her movements to look at the door. The voices passed, but now all she felt was the paranoia of being caught fill her head.
“Whats wrong?” he murmured, leaning in to press his lips to hers again.
“The others,” she murmured in between kisses as his deft hands reached up the back of her shirt to unsnap her bra. She squealed and broke the kiss to pant and look at him again. His eyes had gone darker than they ever were before, breathing heavily and face flushed.
“Well we’ll have to be quick then, won’t we?” His grin sent chills down her spine as he leaned in to kiss her again.
