I really respect that EulBoss fed us so well despite the extremely limited screentime they had for their first Wedding Plan cameo bc they spent 99% of the time tightly holding hands and the other 1% looking fondly at each other
(did y'all see how Rain grabbed his hands and then just didn't let go for the rest of the scene? Bc I saw. 24 times.)
This is one of my favorite, completely insane things about Love in the Air. We almost know more about Rain's architecture homework than Phayu's work with the mafia.
Are we still ignoring the fact that Phayu is a high ranking goon? Cuz I'm cool with pretending that he doesn't just have connections with the mafia he is part of the mafia. You know if that's what we're doing.
Eboni, I have another question. Your love making favorite post immaculate! Can you tell us what it is about the payurain daddy scene that exceeds the rest of those to make it your absolute favorite?
Hey Tyler! I'm sorry it took me forever to answer this. As you know, The Eighth Sense was a lot lmao.
The PayuRain daddy scene is my all time fave rn because it just...hit so different for me. We got to see more of Rain's cunning and teasing side and how easily he can "provoke" Payu when he wants. Rain's facial expressions when Payu questioned him about being called Daddy was nothing but triumph and lust. He won and he was ready for his prize.
I love how Payu was like, "Let me teach you the difference between Hubby and Daddy," like BRO WTF. IF PAYU LOOKED AT ME LIKE THAT I'D SIMPLY PASS AWAY.
I also love how they had that pillow placed perfectly to hide their nakedness and we could see Rain's panties around his ankles. I love that we knew EXACTLY where Payu's hand was under that pillow. I love that they both were only halfway undressed and that Rain was complaining about getting his nipples pinched.
When Payu got up to pull down his pants and we saw that glorious view of his big and wide chest??? Sir??? Idk if anyone else could tell, but Boss looked bulkier in that scene that he does in their other 2 love scenes. It is clear that he put on some more muscle in between the filming.
Also.....the fact that we pretty much saw the moment of penetration...I love that Rain was holding onto Payu so tightly the whole time, arms hugging him close. Idk it was just perfect to me. Also Payu alternating between a fast and slow pace, talking all close to Rain's ears.
I just love Rain was saying Daddy in English and Thai, it really did something. The way he felt the need to explain his interpretation of the term when it came to Payu. He didn't need to explain, but he just needed to make it very clear that Father and Daddy was NOT the same thing.
Then that wide shot of Payu just going to town on Rain while Rain chants 'Daddy' like a cheer????? It was just so perfect. It felt like that scene was for me.
the only scene from the novel i regret not seeing in the series is the scene where Rain is bawling his eyes out when they find Sky at Prapai’s condo and after Sky leaves with Prapai he wipes his tears away and starts kicking the shit out of Gun and his shitty friend who are already down from getting beaten up by Prapai and Payu. He just kicks and kicks while yelling at them and Payu just hangs back and lets him. because he knows Rain needs to do this.
This got too long for a comment so I'm reblogging😅
If the mystery's too obvious than I'd start by:
1. Removing clues (and hints, foreshadowing etc). Make a list of all clues and eliminate any you find unnecessary. Be extra critical of early clues that may reveal too much. If that's not enough, or they are all necessary then-
2. Start obscuring the clues you have. Make reliable info unreliable and discredit witnesses. A character saw something suspicious, but now she's drunk or it's dark & rainy or the window was foggy or she had a head injury.
First hand testimony could change to second or third hand gossip.
Introduce conflicting information.
Distract the reader & character from focusing on the clue- make it a side note to the action occurring in the scene or there's something more suspicious happening to grab attention or it's hidden in a list of other things.
These are all things I usually do when I go back through the story, I personally can't do it until I clearly know the ending.
As for plot twists, I'm not very useful. Any I've done have just come up when I'm writing. But I keep Brandon Sanderson's advice in mind when deciding to use a plot twist idea, "always give the reader MORE than they expected in a plot twist to be satisfying."
(I'm about to reference The Sixth Sense for its famous plot twist, apologies if this is a spoiler🙏)
The story sets up that a kid is seeing and talking to ghosts. The writer meets those expectations and fulfills the promise he set up- a kid is really seeing ghosts.
But the writer gives even MORE by revealing that the other main character is also a ghost, who didn't realize he was dead. This is bigger than the audience expected.
If the kid suddenly woke up and realized it was all a dream, that would still be a plot twist, but not a good one because it would give the reader LESS than they expected. They didn't get anything that was promised earlier.
So maybe think about what a predictable ending would be based off the story so far- where the reader expects the story to be going- then brainstorm what can be added that would make the situation bigger or more extreme.
I hope this is helpful. While my stories contain mysteries, it's not the primary genre and I have to do a lot of back and forth on those elements until I'm happy with it.
genuine question: HOW DO YOU WRITE MYSTERY NOVELS????
I can understand both sides. GMMTV made a business decision that could help boost the audience and there's nothing wrong with that. Nor is there anything wrong in having a BL side couple in a GL.
But GeminiFourth has blown up a lot bigger than they expected and now risk overtaking the attention of the main couple. So I also don't think it's wrong for GL fans who have been highly anticipating GMMTV's very first GL show to want it to stay focused on the GL.
I can't believe gl stans are mad because geminifourth will be there in 23.5 like I have no words
