Rebecca Hall initially wore this orange dress as Caroline Cushing in the 2008 film Frost/Nixon. It was then re-worn by Elle Fanning as Niki Trumbo in the final scene of the 2015 film Trumbo.  

Costume designer Daniel Orlandi worked on both films, making it almost certain that these are the same piece. 

Neither Rebecca Hall nor Elle Fanning are strangers to recycled costumes, though they’ve generally been spotted in reuses from period dramas in the past. So it is interesting to see them both in more modern clothing.

I attended a seminar on Legal Issues and the LGBTI community and one HILARIOUS side effect of same sex marriage getting legalised was in reality…horrible for estate planning and property disputes, but also sounds like an incredible fic premise

Before same sex marriage was legal a fair few gay couples got married in foreign countries; it had no effect in Australia but it was the principle of the thing. When it became legal, their marriages took effect in Aussie too.

This was wonderful for couples who were still together, but for couples who had broken up, and hadn’t bothered to go back to that foreign country to get divorced (and they rarely did)…they suddenly found themselves married again.

some REAL weird stuff: on april 9, the lizzie bennet diaries facebook page started promoting an app which is meant to basically be a rewatch of the show on the anniversaries of the episodes being released, which coincidentally is the same idea ashley clements, who played lizzie, had and made two years ago on the 10th anniversary. people thought it was shady esp since ashley has said some pretty disparaging stuff about how the creator of the show handled things while it aired and after it was done, so they messaged her and she’s just posted this. apparently, NO one besides bernie su is getting paid - not residuals, nothing from the fact the lbd channel is monetized, nothing from the app. there are producers and actors that worked on the show in the comments saying they weren’t even CONTACTED about it, which is INSANE

since i know some of u follow me for p&p & might see ads for the app, here’s the heads up that you should not download it and probably not interact with the lbd accounts at all. they really have no interest in the wellbeing of the crew that made the entire show possible. it’s very sad :/

Just in case anyone wants to ask why feminists still refer to the “pink tax” or rail against more and more elaborate makeup trends being pushed on girls and women.
