Reflection
This project was the most challenging and rewarding I have done within my degree. I found it particularly hard in the beginning with restrictions like ethics. I found myself struggling to get motivated as I kept hitting dead ends. When I finally landed upon my idea I received some helpful user feedback from my interviews, which helped me narrow down my topic and frame it into one I could manage within the timeframe.
When it came to the ideation phase I enjoyed the initial collaborative process and it set me up well when it came to creating my final solution. I struggled a bit with the content to include and this put me back in my initial timeline. However, after completing my second round of user testing this was a great breakthrough for my project and gave me the confidence that I was creating something that my potential end users would want to use.
Overall, I am pleased with my final outcome. I feel I pushed myself to complete a thorough amount of work that would benefit the end-user. In the future I would like to develop this concept even further as I had a few areas that I looked into that I decided not to include due to my time frame. I would like to explore these ideas as well as refine my prototype even more to ensure for an all-round seamless user-experience.

Audio for pitch
I decided to ask Nick to do my voice recordings as his voice seems to be more professional and suited to this pitching style video. I also retrieved some music for the background of my video to help create excitement about my app. I retrieved the music from https://motionarray.com for free.

Working on pitch video
I took my storyboard and script and began to put it together to form my pitch. I had to change and take out some parts in order for it to work smoothly. I decided to mainly focus on the app while having some text pop up to reiterate the important parts of my pitch.

Final Main Screens
The look of my prototype has changed quite a bit but the overall function of it is similar to what I had user-tested with my participants. Adding icons and pops of colour help make this prototype more engaging for my target audience as well as the improved flow of the navigation.

Final Prototype
This is my final prototype imported from Sketch into Principle. The first image is all my links and the second image is my onboarding sequence. Linking up this prototype took longer than I first thought, but I am pleased with the outcome.

Pitch Video Storyboard
This is a second draft of my storyboard pitch. With further development with my prototype, I had to redo some parts of my script as well as create a new storyboard. I find creating a storyboard is very necessary as it is quite challenging putting clips together that match the audio in a specific time frame. I feel that this has given me some good guidance moving forward to create my video as well as giving me some room for changes or improvements.

Synthesising User Testing Version 2 Prototype
This round of user testing was very valuable and was a turning point in my design process. Using miro to synthesis my feedback was very helpful as it allowed me to visualise themes throughout the user testing sessions. Identifying will allow me to implement them in my prototype which is critical if I am wanting to create a successful solution that the end-user will want to use.

Start-up task completion sequence
I changed around the sequence of tasks that need to be completed in the sign-up process and have added a colour code system for now so that users can distinguish each feature as this was a problem that arose from my first user tester.

Version 2 Iteration
From my first user testing session, it was clear that I needed to make some changes as I think the participant struggled to understand the idea behind my app and the onboarding process.
Before carrying on with my user testing sessions I wanted to make some minor changes so that the participants knew exactly what they were doing and that then I could get the most out of their feedback.
Here I have created an onboarding sequence of screens so that the user is aware of what to expect from the app and how it will benefit them.

Today in class we tested the second year’s prototypes. While doing so I noticed they were using this cool user testing software. I think this is a great tool as you are able to catch both what they are saying and their facial expressions towards the app/website as well as the actions been taken on their device.
