Steve Rogers: First Captain America and the current Captain America (Earth-616) after Sam Wilson had returned the shield to Steve.

Ooc. To those posting about the blm movement rn, I appreciate you and your efforts. As a black mun I can tell you rn this is the scariest time in our lives. Even tho I lived through the 92 riots, this is far more terrifying because I'm not sure an end is in sight any time soon. Please understand that a lot of black muns are stepping away rn. We're tired, we're scared and we're hurting. I know I haven't been on in a while, but it's mostly because I'm trying to process all of this. Be respectful of the needs of these muns please and recognize that our mental health matters and we might be gone for a while. I hope you guys are well, take time for yourselves and take the time to lift up your fellow roleplay partners who are struggling.

I don’t know, Lina.”

She felt somewhere between smug, humored, and relieved. “Well, then you know it’s not so, darling. Nothing about your is easy,” tease before taking his hands and pressing reverent kisses on his knuckles. “I stay because I love you. If I wanted easy I could go back to a life that left me a shred away from dead inside and never have to think twice about the future, trying to be a better person, or someone else’s baggage. But I love you, and your baggage.”

“No. I have not hit my head.” Cordelia could not have quelled the pout scowl on her face if she’d wanted to, blue eyes moving from her friend’s gaze to stare almost reproachfully at the blanket being held out to her. She knew that taking it would be in her best interests, especially if Lina was doing big favours to procure such a thing ( the thought of which made her skin crawl, and if the mage had not been so damned tired, she likely would have shuddered as well ).

“I just mean…you should focus on yourself for once. That is all,” she took the offering, doing her best to not seem too terribly eager as she wrapped it around her shoulders. “My goal was not to seem ungrateful… Thank you. Truly.”

She worked hard not to laugh as she took up Cordelia’s hands and gave them a squeeze. “I will look start turning my focus towards myself when there’s not immediate and present danger,” she said certainly. Though who knew when that would be. They’d only set up camp that night. There was some commotion starting from where they came but unless someone was huffing about a dragon, she didn’t want to know.

“Also, spending my time tending you keeps me from spying on my Templar friend while ensure he is unaware of my existence. How else am I suppose to evaluation how much has changed since then.” All of these things were great distractions from her own care of course.

His eyes moved down to her hands, his muscles tensing all over again for a brief moment before he uncrossed his arms entirely, acquiescing to her silent request with only a small bit of true reluctance. “You should never have put yourself in danger like that…not for us,” Christoph said, tone not as reproachful as it may have been in the past. “But thank you. We’ll make this right — I’ll make this right.”

She leaned forward enough to press her cheek against him. She wanted him to feel close to her, for them both to feel more the way they must’ve once. Even if he’d only go on to betray her over and over. She already knew the look Lila would give her later. “We can lay low for a day, then figure out how to get out of here, keep going until we’re in Norway or something,” she said with a shrug.

She watched with a passive eye as Magdalina picked the lock, making a silent note of her skill before a laugh was practically startled out of her. “Mm. Very true. Ollie has a mind for many things, good plans is not one.” Especially considering the fact Lila could just as easily pick the lock as Lina was doing now.

Lina gave her a smile regardless of how rude she’d started out. “Rough Childhood,” she explained as she caught the tumbler and released the latch. she moved the hair pin back into her bag. “You understand me fine,” she said appraising her. “But,” she said, relaxing the accent a tad, wanting to give a little in hopes that maybe she wouldn’t be so bloody awful. “I haven been trying to be understood,” she said carefully as she focused on the proper grammer. “What would be point? None of you want to know me.”
