FIX THE MATCHMAKING
#there is NO REASON I should be going up against X Battle Division players#ESPECIALLY GOLD ONES#and ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY since I’ve never ranked higher than S!#I’ve literally all matches against at LEAST 1 X Battle Division player#and when I was lucky enough to get one on my Team#HERE COMES ONE WITH A GOLD DIVISION BADGE AND ANOTHER WITH AN ANARCHY STREAK TO GO WITH THEIR DIVISION BADGE#IM TIRED DUDE#let’s not even TALK about the Team Comps#I’m playing Pro for Springfest and we are routinely outranged whenever I play ZiMi#I only started getting actually long range teammates when I swapped back to Dualies or TriSloshNouveau#please we’re two years in Splat Devs DO SOMETHING#splatoon 3#they’re all Tentatek Divisions too for whatever it’s worth#I’ve seen em all from basic to like green to purple to blue to gold ALL just TODAY#FOR DAY 1 OF SPRINGFEST

Not me considering vanilla Wiper after two wins with it 😶
Last “Sheldon’s Dress Up Showdown” I picked up the ZiMi and the Tri-Slosh Nouveau
I’m excited to see what other weapons my playstyle(s) mesh well with 🙏🏾
#I’ve gotten v Wiper twice and won both time wow#I got Wiper Deco and got decimated soooo it’s not the base weapon on its own#just like with ZiMi the kit synergy is calling to me with vWiper#I’ve been getting mostly Snipers Blasters and Rollers this time around#I had a SHOCKINGLY great round with Bamboozled but I still think it’s ass 😭😭😭#I had a good time playing both E-Liters but I really liked the custom#but you will NOT see me picking up any snipers I can’t play that patiently I get anxious#Splatoon 3#**Bamboozler I even undid the auto correct and it didn’t change wowie wowie hooh my gawd

#This is one challenge that I’m glad keeps coming back#I’m just a little too chicken to try a bunch of new weapons in Turf War#but the Dress Up challenge *feels* low stake#I guess because the power of choice is out of my hands???#Anyway yeah I picked up Bucket and ZiMi from the last Dress Up challenge#and now the Bucket is in my Top 3 weapons#and I played ZiMi all last Splatfest (in Pros) and we won so 👀👀👀#Splatoon 3#Splat3

I’m taking a Comics class this semester and we read through The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes 😳

Replaying SMT V because I couldn’t get the idea of an Ailment build being viable (if not ideal) out of my head and I was able to beat the funny lvl 99 Abscess first try???

Note: This is on Normal difficulty but STILL
#technically this NG+#But because I was changing my build I couldn’t reincarnate#meaning no high level essences nor my stocks of balms and such#I’m focusing on a Mag/Luck Ailment build but I see a Phys/Ailment as viable too with skills like Blight and Dark Sword#Profaned Land is the GOAT of this build btw#Even aside from being Dark ie Insta-Death with high enough Luck#the Poison Proc + Poison Adept + A Phys Demon with Venom Chaser means enemies get WASHED a lot of the time#early game was ROUGH but now I feel surprisingly comfortable#like I was SO shocked with how smooth the lvl 99 Abscess went like#When I did a straight up Magic build last time I had to get up to 70+ to do it#Even with Phys/Almighty I needed to be that high AND have Murakumo#this build is just kinda juice I guess#smt V#Shin Megami Tensei V#nahobino#ailment build#Makajama is so clutch with high luck it almost always hits#and that’s the motto of this build#it just has to hit once and we’re in#this abscess btw sewed the seeds of Ailment build being viable with the Poisma from the slime doing up to like 200-300 damage with lvl diff#this is also all in an effort to make Chaotic Will a real danger if I can beat Demifiend that is#which the strat is to seal him as much as possible and my Makajama has been hittin a lot sooooo#shin megami tensei

Current Splatfest Dilemma:
Handshake: My go to if I’m interacting with strangers in a professional setting or when my first impression might have strong consequences (ie meeting my partner’s parents)
Hug: My FR go to since I really only interact with family and friends and physical touch is my/our (general) love language
Fistbump: Happens when I’m hyped up/ moment of true camaraderie. Also, Fistbump in game, would look cool to be Team Fistbump and get fistbumps on victory screen.

“Learning a new weapon” pains 🥲
#splatoon 3#after Sheldon’s Dress-Up challenge I decided to pick up the Zink Mini#idk playing with it on TC was really fun and I could see potential in combining Toxic Mist with at least a half charge to get kills#I’ve even managed to do it a few times in Turf War!! And I see the value in using Mist at choke points#Only problem is Bubbler isn’t that great for Turf tho I try to use it to protect my team or stall the enemies#I’m also a Dualies main so not being able to dodge roll and killing in 4 AND being kinda slow by comparison is quite the learning curve#I also should stop playing at night LMAO#I think all the better than casual and pro players play then so they can avoid the casuals and kids#I did try to play the Nautilus for a while so I’m not unfamiliar with Splatlings#but yeah at this point in the game’s lifespan people KNOW how to use their favorite weapons#and learning a new one is can be difficult with that in mind#splatnet

Alright, atp, Tricolor needs to be reworked so that the team in the lead is always defending (since Tricolor is supposed to be a catch-up opportunity for the losing teams) or the points need to be reduced.
There is no reason for Tricolor to still be 18 points if the leading team can be in any position, meaning they have a greater chance at winning period and thus unable to be unseated from the lead position.
You can correctly assume who is winning Tricolor by who wins the popular vote every time since they changed it to get more matches made, and that is antithetical to the purpose of Tricolor battles
#just imo#I thought Tricolors worked fine in the first fest even if they were hard to get in to#the point of them to cause an upset and give the losing teams a shot at winning#but also in this fest the pop choice getting over 55% again is wild#how when there are 3 choices does one choice get over 50% of the vote? it’s not impossible but unlikely#also regional matchmaking with international results is so…a choice#I was team Frye and most of my matches were against Team Big man#I still saw plenty of Team Shiver but not as much to suggest 55% popularity overall#anyways Ggs everyone I’m proud to have gotten over 1 mil points in Pro even though it didn’t mean shit#splatfest#Splatoon 3
