The baby girl was perfect, and looked so much like her older brother had at this stage, Heike gently passed the baby off to her husband.
Heike hadn't entertained the idea of names, her entire pregnancy had been overshadowed by their loss. But now the baby was here.
"Name her whatever you would like, my love. Perhaps a family name?"
"It's a girl." Heike looked up at the words, eyes flying to her husband. After losing Carl, this child, this precious girl was their second chance.
"Come here, My Love, come look at her."
Helmut thought his wifeβs labor would never end but at last the baby came. She was healthy and safe. Moving from Heikeβs bedside to get a closer look at the newborn, he mouthed silent thanks to the healthcare workers. βOh she is perfection. What shall we call her?β
