hiii I’m still writing! I went on a belated honeymoon, my laptop has been broken for 5 weeks, I got covid and then sick again, and then it was my birthday yesterday so it’s been a busy 2 months!!! I can’t update ao3 without my laptop though and it’s apparently been stuck on the other side of the country (unbeknownst to me) so I’m very annoyed about that but will have plenty of updates for you when I get it back!!

(the it's always ourselves that we find in the sea playlist is godtier) I really love the descriptions of the countryside that you wrote in I'm almost me again (to the point where I've started planning for a future trip to England). Did you base the town on anywhere in particular???

omg that’s amazing, I hope you have a fun time!! I didn’t really base it on a particular town, but the tea house itself is based on a real place in Llanrwst, Wales. It’s called tu hwnt i’r bont (beyond the bridge in Welsh) and I’ve always loved the place so I wanted to write a fic with it as the focal point but had to shift it closer to the English Channel for the whole getting to Paris thing. but it’s a proper tea house in a Grade II protected building and serves traditional Welsh foods like bara brith (it’s one of our bread recipes) and is right on the river and everything.

maybe I’m biased but the countryside in Wales is my favourite and this is right near Snowdonia as well, but if you were planning on going anywhere else I’d say start in Scotland like Lena did! the highlands and even surrounding countryside is really beautiful there too. but if you feel like drinking tea on the river this is what the cottage looks like heading into autumn:

I’ve got a full-time job and I come home from work and write bc it’s FUN!! not to please anonymous ungrateful fuckers who act entitled bc my enjoyment isn’t even a factor for them in consuming as much free fanfiction as they like bc they just expect us to pull the chapter they want out of our ass at their request.

also I think my track record speaks for itself in how consistent I am with finishing my fics, and if they’d bothered to look at the upload dates on my updates, or god forbid spend a couple of dollars to see my patreon posts about why I’m starting so many fics, they’d know that it’s actually helping me write more often, not less!! starting 4 new fics recently had led to me having constant motivation to always be writing something to update. I’m petty and I don’t want to spoil it for the people who are supportive but I’ve taken a year long break before bc of invasive shit that ruined the fandom for me so please think about what type of comments u leave on fics!! writers aren’t here to be your emotional punching bags now that the show is over!

not really that big in the overall plot, but adding kelly in made a big difference to the little things I think, and it makes more sense in the story too so I’m glad I did it ☺️
