Write about a mysterious package that comes by mail.

It was still dark one morning when she heard the ringing of the doorbell. Who could it be?It was the weekend and the post wasn’t delivered till later in the day. Nina slowly walked up to the door in her fluffy slippers and unlocked the door. She stuck her head out and looked both ways before noticing a mysterious package on the floor. It was a small, dainty package with the words “Open Me” scribbled in what appeared to be black ink. How very old fashioned she thought. Carefully, she picked up the package and went back inside her one bedroom apartment. 

Now sitting at the kitchen table, she contemplated where this package had come from. She hadn’t ordered anything off Amazon recently. Mother and father had just visited her the other day. Could it be a package from her older sister Meleys who lived across the ocean? The sisters had been estranged since Nina left for college. Last she heard, Meleys had gotten married to a nobody and had a son. She had never met her nephew nor did she care to reconnect with her sister after the “incident” that made her decide never to go back home. 

Staring at the package, she sighed, and tucked it away out of sight. Later that evening, after running errands in the market, Nina came back to her apartment door opened wide. Alarmed, she looked back and forth for any sign of intruders. Who could’ve done this? Was she being targeted by some criminal organization? Who did she piss off?  What was even stranger was the fact that nothing seemed out of place. Everything in her apartment was untouched except for the closet door. Pieces of  brown paper were scattered all around. She followed the pieces of shred all the way to the kitchen and spotted what appeared to be a wooden box. She didn’t own a wooden box. At that moment, she heard a slight creaking noise from one of the cupboards. She quickly grabbed a mallet ready to strike whatever it was making that noise. Never one to back down from a fight, Nina opened the cupboard door and screamed out loud, “ I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD!”.  Struck by an invisible force, Nina wasn't able to move a muscle. Oh no, she thought. What kind of devilry was this?!?! From the cupboard, stood what appeared to be a small child with reptilian-like wings. It was eating her favorite chocolate-covered almonds without any shame. In that instant she thought, “ What the he**!”. The mysterious thing finally turned around to face her and spoke, “ Auntie Nina! Why have you kept me waiting! I was starving inside that packet!”. Nina was stunned. The thing was talking and calling her its aunt. No, this was impossible. Last she checked, she was human and so was her sister. Where did this creature come from?!?! Still frozen, Nina tried breaking free from her invisible chains. “Oh, sorry auntie, let me help you move again”. In an instant she was gasping for air and fell on the floor with a thud. She sank into unconsciousness.
