y/n was sitting on the white hospital bed reading that book that she always loved, that book that became her favorite from the first moment: “The corpse bride ”. She felt safe reading that book, watching the movie, imagining herself in that universe that she adored so much.
-y/n, honey, I'm here... Daryl, Victoria's boyfriend, had returned from the cafeteria with two croissants and a soda. Since she got sick she couldn't eat this type of food, but there were exceptions and today was one of them.
Daryl sat next to her and stroked her beautiful bald head. He loved her bald head, but he also missed that honey-colored hair, so soft and silky as if it were taken from the same ancient story. To tell the truth, Y/N looked like a literary character, with her skin so white, with those beautiful eyes that with just one glance wrapped him in a pleasant sensation. Her soft and sweet voice that just with listening to her talk about what happened during her day, you could be hypnotized...
-Thank you my love - Y/n was able to perceive that something was happening with Daryl, she was able to notice things that no one else could. Before she could speak again, Daryl took her hands and put away that precious book and looked into her eyes.
From one moment to the next, Daryl had a candle and a small cup in his hands, but there was something else. Unfortunately, Y/N was not able to notice that small detail, because all her attention was focused on Daryl.
In an instant, Daryl raised his right hand and began to speak… -With this hand, I will hold your wishes- he took the small glass and continued speaking. - Your glass will never be empty, because I will be your wine,and with this candle, I will light your way in the dark…-
Before continuing, he directed his gaze towards those eyes that he loved so much and he could see how small tears appeared in them, because she knew perfectly well what was about to happen, Daryl took a sip from the glass and passed it to y/n before further. – And with this ring, I ask you to be my wife.-Immediately, she stretched out her left hand for Daryl to place that ring, which would unite them until eternity.
Y/n smiled before saying, "You can kiss the bride." And at that very moment they joined their lips, kissing intensely, showing their love for each other, and it was true fucking love, he just memorized one of the line of her favorite movie just to ask her to marry her…
But there was something strange in that kiss and they both noticed it; It was at that moment that they realized that this kiss was a goodbye kiss... She passed away that same night. But she died happy, since she did so in the arms of her great love, taking that kiss that would unite them forever on her lips.
