random question but where did you get your tumblr handle from???? im from a place called reddish haha
d’espair’s ray is a japanese visual-kei band that i really loved back in the day. my favorite song of there’s was “reddish”, but most websites these days already have a “reddish” user. so now im just slightly less reddish which was already a slightly less red to begin with, heh heh. also i’m sorry if this is really old. i haven’t logged into tumblr in so long.

An unusual occurrence for them: sitting together quietly reading. Earlier they had been at work taking out Starrick’s men, so this peaceful moment felt earned. Still, it wasn’t like either of them to sit still for so long. Something about being near Maxwell both excited and calmed Jacob at the same time, and he knew that the older man felt the same.
Jacob turned a page in his novel. It was one his friend Charles Dickens wrote and he found himself intrigued by the story. He couldn’t wait to finish it and discuss it with Dickens later. Suddenly he felt something heavy on his shoulder. Jacob turned, noting that Maxwell was using his shoulder as a pillow, the man’s eyes closed and his fingers clutching limply to the book he’d been reading moments ago.
“Max?” Jacob didn’t want to move and disturb the other. Maxwell didn’t respond. He couldn’t really be asleep, since he was still holding onto the book. Jacob watched him for a moment. This was a side of Maxwell he didn’t see often: quiet, at peace, content.
“I love you,” Jacob told him. Maxwell let out a sigh and shifted to get a little closer. Jacob smiled, watching him pretend to sleep for a moment longer before returning to his book.
Once they got rid of Starrick, they could spend every evening like this. Jacob found himself looking forward to that.
