Hey y’all! Mod L here. I guess it’s time for me to give a life update. Really funny and lovely that I came here to do just that and saw the others had done so recently! <3

I work full time as a software engineer (for three years now!) and I make games on the side. I’m also trans and now go by they/them pronouns. I moved to the South last year and I love it here. I just adopted a very small cat, work with the local chapter of Food Not Bombs, and am currently trying to build a community center. I also write, rp, and do art. I’m not a very online person anymore!

(It’s also super weird to see my old art as the blog icon. I went to and finished art school since I drew that!)

I still practice my faith but it’s very internal/private. Over the course of my time doing intense research, writing, and community-building around it, I tested out and developed a core system that really works for me, and it simply needs less testing now. My faith is intrisically connected to how I live my life, not separate. I’ve been a polytheist since I was 13 and while the work around it often changes, the core beliefs never do.

It’s really amazing to find out how much of an impression we left that people notice when we drop by. :)

Cool so it would be acceptable for Jews to use She/Her pronouns and feminine terms when talking about G-d? Or They/Them?

It's acceptable for anyone to use it. In the same way that you can gender an object whatever you like, you can gender God the same way. God transcends gender, "He" is just used as the gender neutral term.

God can be she/her or they/them to anyone of any religion. As always, might weird people out initially, but it's not like God is a man or a woman.

I'll impart a little life update too since mod W's was very good and I cherish.

I am currently: about five and a half, going on six years into working in tax compliance. Used to be public which sucked, now I'm not! I do a lot of writing, do a lot of rping (which I will also not push unless asked), and some minimal gaming. I've been legally married for over a year, had my actual wedding two months ago, and I am a homeowner with three cats.

Religiously I am shrug emoji and will likely remain that way for the foreseeable future. Demonolatry holds a special place in my heart but I just have let religiousness fall to the wayside in my life for a host of reasons. Such is life, we move forward. As I said, I do still have a decent amount of knowledge from the three or so years I did spend deep in the paint, but I'm not here campaigning in the tags anymore. Don't have a reason to.

Here's my more formal post to say I'm active on discord and Twitter. Again, not for anything religiously, mostly just like. Video games, rping, and other such nonsense. If you want it, you can reply here and I'll dm or send an ask in and just specify if you're looking for me or mod W and one of us will get to it when we're able.

It's really touching to see people reaching out after all these years, though. Much love to you all 💖

Howdy howdy all you cool cats and kittens, I've seen Mod D poking around answering some asks and I figure it's probably time to give my life update as well!

These days I'm incredibly offline compared to how I was back when I helped run LDW! I work full time, have a wonderful partner, and help run/play in a lot of local LARP events because it only takes a tiny push for your standard fantasy nerd to find their way into live-action roleplay. I also run a laser cutting business on the side but I'm not trying to use this update to push it lmao!

I still practice my own personal religious dogma, but it's a more casual type of practice than I used to run. Demonolatry is still incredibly important to me but while I used to be closer on the complexity spectrum to Ceremonial Magic, I'm now much more on the spectrum of Hedge Witchery - involving the practice of my arts and rituals as a part of my daily life rather than seeing them as separate entities.

It's incredibly cool to still see so many people interested in what we had going on here, and if you're interested in catching up with me I'm pretty active on Discord in my free time!

Hey There! I've started my journey with being a Demonolater. I did the birthday thing and got Raum, so that's a huge no. I actually have hard feels for Vassago. The moment I read his description, feels started hitting me that made me question if he's been here all along. I have a problem with losing inanimate shit, and for the past year I've had strange occurances of it them showing up not too long after in wierd places. Anywho, I wanted to know some advice for working with him?

Give summoning vassago a go. Sometimes when it clicks, that's enough to at least start something.As for losing things and having them turn up elsewhere, I have stopped disregarding those as signs. If I recall, that is typically called Lost Carkeys Syndrome. Everyone loses things, so I don't see those as important enough to be signs. Keep an eye out for everything, write it down, and then in a week look through and see if anything jumps out at you. Losing items isn't too insane, but maybe repeated sightings of an odd occurrence might be. Use discernment.-- Mod D
