after that lecture a bunch of old ladies taught us a dance i was rather bad at and then i made some origami cranes with them. i was so inspired by this that i ordered some origami paper when i got home that i am eagerly awaiting
i went to a lecture about the atomic bombing of hiroshima this past week ((presenter was an instructor from my school who is an older woman from hiroshima whos family survived the bombing)) and obviously it made me think of gaza, its an obvious point of comparison. it made me feel hopeful in a way though
in 1945 hiroshima was genuine hell on earth, 90% of all buildings were destroyed, 40% of the population was killed within a year, it was an incredibly bleak situation. but on the other hand people still lived on and rebuilt. today its a beautiful city with over a million people living in it
gaza city and the rest of the gaza strip never needed to go through what its gone through, but it does still huge potential for a future. and i do believe in a future for gaza
sorry i can't come in to work today. yeah sorry they killed me off last night. yeah i just wasn't relevant to the plot anymore. i should be in tomorrow but i'll let you know.
Finished my werewolf sketch-dump on Halloween, just getting around to posting. Point was to loosen up a bit and also push the body horror aspect. Kinda got a little addicted to the fur though. Didn't quite reach what I was aiming for so I may revisit this.
Shout out to @nataliehall, I did draw inspiration from your work. Just to say this is a sketch dump, I'm trying to push my limits in terms of design.
While we're at it: using language that downplays genocide is a form of genocide denial.
Joe Biden isn't doing a bad job, Joe Biden is providing material support for genocide.
Israel isn't handling the situation badly, Israel is committing genocide.
Employing euphemisms minimizes the reality of this genocide. It's disrespectful and dangerous.
If you are more uncomfortable with the word genocide than you are with the reality of genocide, then you are not prepared to be part of any serious discussion. Work on that on your own time.
