Leroy Mokgatle aged 16 dancing a variation from La Fille Mal Gardée. He trains at the Arts of Motion in Johannasburg. He won the audience choice award and a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne where he competed this variation.

Leroy was only the second South African dancer to compete at the Prix de Lausanne in the competition’s 44-year history, and the first male to do so.

Maria Bulanova aged 15 dancing the “Dream” variation from Raymonda. She is in year 7/II at the Vaganova Ballet Academy and her teacher is Ludmila Kovaleva. 

Note that Maria came 1st in her division with this variation!
