Honestly, if these users can't be addressed/restrained, please please please DO cancel tigons. Lioden looks like a goddamn nursery and it's taken all the fun out of the tigon release. Why keep ignoring such confrontational unappeasable people in y'alls game, they will never be happy with anything and will keep stirring shit whenever possible
The #canceltigons thing was a joke referring to #cancelthesimpsons joke and general social media mentality of people living and breathing the platforms thinking #cancelstuff post on twitter can make any difference in real world, but this seems like you’re upset so let me answer.
“You players are mean so we won’t give you stuff! Tigons are cancelled!” - ..no. I am not their parent. This is not christmas. This is a business, we’re making a project. Projects have various reception.
1. I understand you’re upset about the commotion but it makes 0 sense to cancel a giant 3-year project because there’s few people trying to play the game in their favour, driven by profit. This is normal for any browser game. There will always be people like that, even in real life. (Nice Epi-Pens, looking at you, America). As long as they stay respectful and don’t harass/target anyone in the forums etc, there’s 0 need to “restrain” anyone. The results of their actions might impact the market, sure. But that’s the pros and cons of players having full freedom to play the market, I find that to be a core of Lioden.
2. Competition between players is normal in online games. Things can get heated. They do make a choice to heat it up before there’s any official information, and it’s players choice to participate or not, but I am sorry it affects your excitement. Luckily you can block people and avoid seeing whatever upsets you? (At least on forums?)
3. Just because people aren’t happy with anything and keep complaining doesn’t mean I will go and ban them for it. I have been born in Soviet regime so free market and having a right to be upset and disagree with something is pretty fundamental to me. Being a dick about it is another story.
“Restraining” for trying to make most of new feature and one-upping competition makes 0 sense and changes nothing because there will be somebody else in that place. Also the same with people who are never happy with anything. I don’t sit in their heads, I think they have different taste and they don’t have to like shit.
A lot of time they make 0 sense too if they are unhappy with the game, act like complete dicks about it yet still play, but that’s their life and toxicity they wish to bathe in every day. If they’re just displeased and having normal conversations about it, it’s only healthy discourse in the community?
If they’re rude and unpleasant, thankfully it’s just the internet and it’s not somebody from your family. 95% of the time you can block them, avoid them or report them if they’re breaking rules of the website they’re using.
Every. Single. Community. Has people like that. The bigger the community, the more vibrant the players. Hooo boy, Overwatch.
