I know this show isn't that deep, but I've been thinking a lot about Pim's character and how much pressure he puts on himself to always be the helper/people pleaser. He's always putting others first, and he's constantly surrounded by people who are not only less-optimistic, but most of the time downright miserable. Not to mention what Pim's home life was like, and how screwed up his family is from what little we've seen of them in canon.
Basically, I just wanted to draw him finally letting some of those walls down and having a good cry with the critter he trusts so much, Charlie. His literal goal in life is to bring happiness in spite of how awful the world is, and that can really take a toll on anyone. Sometimes the helpers need help too, and sometimes even the most optimistic need support to lean on.
