It’s Superhero Time !
Tumblr media
Hey, Hey favorite people in the whole wide world and my amazing lil Spicers It’s been a whole week since we last talked and it kinda a sad day as this is my last blog of this season. But, don't you worry my little nutmegs and cinnonmoms, I will be back after a short break. Sit back and relax, cozy by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa while I am away for me! I decided that for this week's blog and to leave all you guys off with an amazing ending till i'm back. I’m going to be creating my very own superhero for you guys and gals and bring back some joy to this crazy year. Now we all know or have an idea what a superhero looks, sounds, and acts like right? Today I plan on switching things up a bit and showing you all something different. Adding my own bit of spice into the mix! Well hopefully this will be like no other hero you've ever seen before and will enjoy what i'm about to bring to life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now my lovelies let's take a full dive right in, like when the Joker and Harley Quinn did into the water while Batman was chasing them in Sucide Squad. This is no regular superhero, this is WolfGirl. WolfGirl is a different kind of story as she is a Marvel Superhero and is not quite an Avenger yet as she didn't start out as the best person or even a hero. It all started back in 1943 at this mansion like home in Wallkill NY, a small town where everyone knows each other and being different is frowned upon especially since she was on the weather side of society. That’s when everything started to change for this 5 year old hero. Amanda Zale was the child of Colleen and Lance Zale. Life was not easy for her as she was the youngest of five with a very abusive mom who was so concerned about what society thought of her and a hard working, wealthy dad that was hardly around. Which is why she only got along with her older brother as he was the only one too seem to care about or for her. It was supposed to be them against the world for life no matter what. Unless it was to give her parents or siblings something they wanted as their intentions were to use her to get them ahead in life. She was a shy, cute,  strong, and independent child. Who sometimes gets in trouble for her curiosity. She had learned that she is not like all the other children in the world. Especially when it came to her four siblings Victoria, Edward, Elizabeth, and James who is the oldest and the many children in her town. She noticed she was different because her nails would grow when thought about, her eyes could change colors even helping her see at night , she could shift into any animal but her favorite was a wolf, and was able to look into people's minds showing them a different reality. She even learned how to show them their worst nightmare. You see Amanda abbitlies came not only from natural ability from a special gene inside of her but were enhanced after she was sold to a scientist called Dr. Flint. A very evil man that was working for Hydra and some to this day says he still does because of the chemicals he used. He discovered that the cells that are rare and doubled  in certain children react differently and poor little Amanda discovered that at a young age. After she was sold to this horrible man by her parents. They had no problem in making the decision since she was a burden to them. It was then, without warning, when she was taken out of Wallkill and taken to this weird base or abandoned homes in the middle of nowhere with children running around. Only a few and even then they were not like her. She met a young boy named Jacob which happened to be the doctor's son in this awful and scary place. They thought they were inseparable as he was really her first and only friend. Quickly they became best friends, but she grew up faster than other children that have bought here before. Her maturity stemmed from everything she was put through, growing up dealing with so much, she had no other option rather than to grow up and face reality. This pleased the doctor and she quickly became his favorite and eventually the only child as she was forced to stay away from everyone else. She even had to sleep in a different building in this concrete room like a prisoner. Being alone caused her to stick to her studies learning how to fight, run fast, control people's minds, and getting chemicals pumped through her body to enhance her abilities the way the doctor wanted. This caused her to have a few scars on her back, arms, and chest as some of the experiments backfired. She did all of this till she hit the age of 16 at only five and  half years later being brought to this horrible place. This was possible because she froze at this age due to the fact her genes and cells would regenerate everyday to help her heal and become the strongest. She then continued these studies and tests for the next few years becoming one the best killer in her generation. She then became a secret weapon for Hydra. She then was sent on many missions for most of her life to try to kill many members of Shield and was very successful killing many agents and leaving many others in mental trauma. She even killed one of the original leaders of Shield in hopes of finding the original serum that made Captain America who he is. Slowly after a decade of doing this for Hydra she started getting pretty well known for her work and was hunted especially by shield and many government officials. Which led Hydra to leave her on her own and abandoned the project she was involved in tossing her into the streets.
Tumblr media
After being on the run for so long and being alone for so many decades thinking of her family, mistakes, and wishing she could see her brother again. She started using her powers for common crimes like stealing, cheating, and fighting to survive the harsh streets of New York City. It was these city streets that made her who she really was. It was this environment that made her want to be a part of it all. Seeing all of the corruption and madness tear her society apart, she figured why try and fight it all when I can just join them and be a part of all the madness. Taking action, she told herself was the only way to survive. One day though she ended up picking the wrong person's pocket. That person was no other than Tony Stark himself and she ended up stealing one of his bands that has his next prototype for his big suit and also some secret files showing many heroes around the world. Not knowing she started to walk away and Tony saw her with it and started chasing her. She quickly thought on her feet and used her powers to show Tony a reality that the bracelet was still in his hand. While she slipped away going back to her home, a beat up old warehouse. Slowly after that she is found by not only Tony but also Steve Rogers aka Captain America and they were not happy. She tried using her many tricks and she was almost successful in escaping but they caught up to her and asked where her parents were, where she lived, and did she know what she stole. Naturally she lied as she was trained to. However they caught onto her lies as she looked beat up and lost. They decided to take her back to the Avengers building and give her food, clothes, and shower. When she came out she looked around in amazement but with her guard up. As she was used to everything being so dark, scary and she didn't trust them. This is the part of her story that she has a change of heart, but it's not the reason you think. As she walked those halls she stumbled upon a picture she knew. One familiar face she knew from her days in Hydra. Someone she looked up to as he became like a brother to her when she was training for missions. That person was Bucky Barnes, a soldier brought in after falling off a train. She stood there frozen starting at this picture and this is when Tony and Cap realized why she was able to do what she could. They asked her to stay with them and not wanting to go back to that warehouse she decided to stay and overtime she started to really trust them especially Cap. He told her all the stories about Bucky and she told him what Hydra did to them. She started to really trust again and even would go on missions with them. Wearing her brand new suit that Steve helped her design because her old ripped up clothes didn't keep her safe. It was all black with red lines going through to help her control her transformations. She also wears a necklace with a shape like a bullet charm at the end holding a piece of rock in it. Her brother James gave it to her before she was taken away. She also has these gloves with special made nails to fit over her anytime they grow. All of this helped her realise that life can be rough but if you keep on fighting everything will eventually be ok. This is why she always makes sure all the kids around the world know this message and that they will always have someone to protect them. That is why to this day she has taken Morgan Stark and Peter Parker under her watch after Tony gave himself to save the world. She feels responsible to make sure they are always protected since the two men that gave her a better life are now gone. They become the siblings she never had. Knowing that if she ever would die that she would leave behind a legacy of it is your choice whether to be good or bad in the end. So don't let others push you to the wrong decision, always listen to your gut,  Even if it means leaving all that you know behind.
Tumblr media
With that being said this is where I end this story about my superhero and pick up another one somewhere else after my break or even in my life. As life is really an open book and we can only take it one chapter at a time so be your own hero. I hope this gives you guys and gals the entertainment, joy, and we'll need distraction as it has for me to write it for you lovies. As I also hope that maybe this blog post or the few others I have written help you discover your own talents or maybe even help you write your story. In real life or imagination and remember you can do anything if you put your mind too. Nothing is impossible and like Stan lee said “ If you are interested in what you do, that keeps you going.” Also please my lil Spicers don't forget to take care of yourself. You can't be a hero for others if you are a hero for yourself first. Always eat, drink, sleep, stay safe and smile. These are important things especially this time of year and in this year that we all sadly call 2020. So please mask up because even heroes wear them. Better safe than sorry! I love you all and will see you when I get back.

Forgotten & Overlooked Cartoon Movies
Tumblr media
Welcome back my favorite spices, I hope all my Lil Spicers are doing well and are getting through this crazy year. Remember it’s almost over and a new year is on it’s way to save the day and hopefully give us our joy back. That's why I'm excited to bring you guys this week a look into forgotten and overlooked cartoons that many people don't know even existed.  Now let's get right into it with two movies that give us guys and gals a blast from the past.
Tumblr media
The first movie that I will be bringing back to life for you guys is called Watership Down (1978) directed by Martin Rosen. For my younger followers and or the ones who don't know this cartoon movie is actually based on the 1972 novel written by Richard Adams. The book and the movie both follow a group of rabbits that show their own culture, language, proverbs, poetry, and mythology. This film then took off and became the sixth most popular in Uk box office. However it didn't go as planned as it didn't do well in schools all over the world even though it was not fully banned. This was because even though it’s a cartoon it was not made or seen as kid friendly because it was too graphic and most kids wouldn’t understand the meaning. China banned the movie and the novel because the animals and humans are seen as being on the same level. As some of the senses show of animals ripping each other apart, a rabbit ripping off the other rabbit ears, another rabbit being choked almost to death, and blood everywhere. They even have a dog ripping two rabbits apart and the blood dripping down his mouth as he looks at the third one aggressively. Leaving them throughout the whole movie just trying to survive and make a life for themselves, but every second or minute something terrible happens to them. They were isolated away because one form of power did not like another. Causing many all the events i said before and so much more.  The second movie I will also be bringing to life for you guys is Fantastic Planet a french film directed by Rene Laloux. Which shows two different types of species and the way they live. The first type of species is called the Draggs. They are bigger, faster, and smarter than the oms, so they think. The Draggs think this because they had taken over casting the Oms into isolation. Forcing them to live in caves, hunt for their food, fight one another, and even kill them by gassing them no matter whatever they hid. However, the second spices is the Oms. This spices is exactly like us. They eat, sleep, and move like us humans, but because they are smaller, slower, and weaker than the Draggs they have to fight for survival. Until one day when an Om Tear discovered he could understand the Draggs language and started learning their history and information. He then escaped taking one of the learning devices and a headset with him. Then teaching the other Oms their ways and they ended up becoming smarter than the Draggs creating rocket ships to fly to the Fantastic Planet. Discovering that when the Draggs mediate they send out of body and do what the oms do and have intercorse to get it out of their systems, so they shot the weird objects teaching the Draggs a lesson and then they both had to learn to live in peace
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that I have given you guys a close look in these two movies and some of their history. I want to look even closer and dig really deep into what they really stand for. These two movies themselves alone have many meanings and themes woven throughout them. However, they also have a vast amount of similar themes like leadership, racism, basic rights, and many more. With saying that though three major ones stuck out at me as I watched these movies. Those three and dicrimation, power, and home and belonging. In Watership Down these themes were shown my the rabbit named general was running his borrow. He marked them and separated them only allowing them out at a certain time. Then if anyone was to try to escape or succeed they were hunted down and brought back to the burrow to have their ears ripped off. They would even do this to newcomers to scare them into not doing anything but what they want them to do. While in Fantastic Planet it shows these three themes by having two different leaders controlling and repmerading their people to keep order. The Draggs control their people by having them mediate and practice their studies. They also go and kill all the oms for being different and less superior to them because they don't have the same views. This can be brought back to today's society as many types of groups or religions get discriminated against because they have different views or beliefs, and even different life styles then what others have. A major one that is  taking a lot of the heat is the LGBTQ community as they are right now fighting to keep the rights they so tiredly already fought for once. I’ve also noticed that these two movies have a strong resemblance and remind me of World War ll and the halcoust. As they both isolate people different then them, make them live in beaten down worn out places, put marks on them to control, and kill them when they are no use anymore. Showing people the cruel ways that history has repeated itself and that treating people like this can lead to huge conusincses. In Germany's case they lost their land and the war and many were sent to jail or even killed themselves for the crimes they committed. Leading to the belief that the lesson we should take from this in 2020 is treat people equal and how we would want to be treated. Otherwise karma can really hit a person hard and they are not going to like it because it will be ten times harder than what you did to the other human beings in this world. Then lastly, these things happened and gave these messages or themes because in the movies themself had strong main characters or groups. In Fantastic Planet all of the oms come together to fight the oms after they are attacked in the old park. They come together because they were chased out of their homes and forced to be on the run, but before they found a new place they attacked two drags and ended up killing one. Years later they get attacked again but this time they were prepared with having the knowledge as the Drags a few escape and then end killing more drags once they reached the planet. So in my book they were successful because the outcome was the two different species ended up discovering a way to live in peace with each other. However, in Watership Down only a select few characters can be seen to really stand out for being “intellectual” and those characters are hazel and bigwig. As these two were both smart, brave, caring, and natural born leaders. They both risked their lives for others but always manage to think on their feet no matter the situation. With saying that though there are a few anti-intellectual characters as well and in my eyes that was the general and Fiver. Now I choose these two because even though they are complete opposites they one thing takes over and that's fear. One fears everything while the other fears losing power. That's why all together they remind me of the BLM movement groups and they fight for what's right they do it all wrong in fear.
Ok my lil Spicers know that I have given you blast from the past or just gave you knowledge on movies you never heard. I want you all to know that I love you and please be safe. This year has been a rollercoaster and it's only getting crazier as winter hits. Wear your mask, wash your hands, and keep coming back each week to read my blog. Love ya.

Review time loves
Tumblr media
Hey my lil Spicers, I know it's been a while and you've been waiting for me to post. So this week we are going to be doing something a little bit different. I'm going to be doing a movie review on a really old movie that actually has been banned in England and a few other countries for how outgoing it is.
Tumblr media
Which is why for this week's blog I had the pleasure of watching the crazy, out of the world, and all out weird movie called A Clockwork Orange directed by Stanley Kubrick. This film is actually based off the 1962 novel written by Anthony Burgess and took place in England. This movie itself focuses on multiple issues that society had around the 70's such as drugs, unfair laws, and high crime. Which is based on all those issues plus religion and how everyone has a devil and god side inside of them and depending on how we are winded up like a toy is the side we choose. The director's purpose of making this film was to get not just society but every person to start to realise what was right and wrong. Now I myself had been told by other people that before watching expect something weird and just plain strange. Well I definitely wasn't disappointed as their were scenes of weird men and women sitting in a bar with mankins all around drinking milk, dicks and vagins all on the walls, a woman killed with a giant dick, and even when Alex the main character played by Malcom McDowell is being tested to show he’s cured had a man yelling at him to lick his shoe and a naked women shoved into his face. I will say this as well if you are not a fan of nudity and or rape, violence, or even police brutally then this is not the movie for you. However, it is a really good movie for adults or people who want the real truth about society and it’s dark side. As Alex himself is the narrator throughout the film giving a deeper meaning. With saying that  scene that really couldn’t get out of my mind even as you are reading this was when the main character Alex was strapped down in the chair and had his eyes forcefully held open with surgical tools. They did this to the main character as an experiment to try and expel the ‘evil’ out of him, but in the process they were doing some terrible things themselves. The scientists or people who were in charge of the experiment made him watch a series of short films, twice daily. These films included rape in the form called ‘in and out’ by the main character Alex, scenes from World War II, people dressed in all white like his old so called ‘friends’ used to wear. Those so called ‘friends’, Dim and Georgie back played by Warren Clarkeand and James Marcus back home had stabbed him in the back and left him alone to deal with all the consequences of their crimes that they were accomplices too. All of these films related to Alex and really messed with his mind throughout the film. He was also given drugs that caused him to feel nauseous throughout this process so his mind would form a pattern relating to seeing these events and how he actually felt. Those in charge of the experiment were brainwashing Alex into believing that he was actually nauseous whenever he was faced with ‘evil situations leaving him vorable. The scientists even accidentally made his brain form a pattern between the music playing during these films as well and he became nauseous later on in the movie when he heard a song by Beethoven play, which happened to only be the 9th. The brainwashing changed Alex’s life and he was not prepared to go back out into the dark world that was out waiting for him. His family basically forced him out of the house, he got beat down in the streets, and then his so called ‘friends’ returned with badges and they were now cops. They took him into the woods and nearly killed him and left him to die. By the end of the movie, enough was enough for Alex and he decided he no longer wanted to live with his mind being in the state he was in and he jumped out of the window in what looked to be like a 3 story building. While this fall did not kill him, it relinquished him of his burden that the scientists had put on him. His injuries had practically erased those patterns that had formed and his mind was once again free. Alex was no longer trapped with the burden of feeling nauseous whenever something bad happened in front of him. Leading towards the end of the movie where he just finally just flips a switch and becomes the person he was before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you're still here after reading all of that and slowly processing how much this film takes you through, I have to say it's a 4 out of 10 on the scale for me. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but it also wasn't the best either. It was actually in my top 10 worst films though. It was just too weird for me as it was totally out of my comfort zone and differently could have been filmed in a different way to portray some of the problems as I said above differently. Also not to mention it made a renfence to being gay and how bad it was back then it was frowned upon. That wouldn't really be expected in this day of age as everyone has their opinion. That's why I wouldn't recommend this movie to really anyone unless for an example of what not to do.
Well i’m little Spicers, it's always the best writing for you guys and gals and i hope this review gives you the insight that you needed on a film that no one really knew was still around. As always have a spicy day and I love each and every one of you.

How many male villains, heroes and adventures do we have today in the filming industry?  Way too many, if you ask me. We have Batman, Superman, the Joker, Indiana Jones, James Bond, and basically half of the marvel and Dc worlds. All men shown on screen to be portrayed as big, bad, brave, strong, and of superior gender. With their fake tans, perfect smile, quick thinking, and muscles. However, what about women? How many dominant women roles does Hollywood actually have? To answer that question, hardly any. Basically a handful and they were still paired with “strong men.” Now if you're a woman reading this, you're probably just as upset as I am about this. So, again for the people in the back, yes you, shaking your head saying no that is not true. Hardly any dominant women roles are shown in Hollywood movies, short films, shows and even music. One example of an artist talking about this problem is Camila Calbello. Now before you say “what about Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn or Batgirl?” It took decades for them to be realized as strong, independent women who are good enough to out shine a man. As the fact of a woman superhero was hard for many to understand. This is because many assumed that people would only love seeing or prefer a male lead creating rules for women. Those rules would be smile, look pretty, don't get in the way of a male, don't step out of line, act dumb, and dont be so brave. Let the man save you at all costs and in some cases fall in love with him because he's the perfect image of what a woman should want. I personally think that this the most stupid way of thinking ever and totally came from a man to help their ego. Which definitely doesn't need any more help as from the start of time it has always been about the men. This even goes as far as today in 2020, the year of the doom, but also equal the male to female ratio in a film is 63 to 37. However, this problem that Hollywood has doesn't really stop on screen. It also happens in the background as it's hard for a woman to be expected in a man's world. The expectations that men have for women are unacceptable and the way women get treated in today's world is just wrong. Just this year alone not a single woman director was nominated at the Golden Globe Awards or in the best director catorey at the oscars. Which is really disgraceful and down right wrong as some of the best films were made by women. Such as Wonder Woman, The 40 year old verison, Birds of prey, Mulan, and Hope. All movies showing women as strong, independent, brave, and down right awesome on and off the screen. Proving that women can do anything just like the guys and maybe even better since us women are not so small minded and reaches for the stars.  Women clearly have the ability to think outside the box and accomplish just as much as any man can do. Whether it comes to being on stage or behind the set, women keep up with or even accomplish more than men.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These women are underappreciated and the amount of work that they do deserves some recognition. Men are highly praised and awarded for their acts, so there is no reason why it should be any different for women. Both men and women should be looked at as equal, no matter what the circumstances are. This can be looked into further because each and every movie has this problem hanging over its head. Specifically the movies Black swan and Frida as they battle different stereotypes that were made from the very beginning. Those stereotypes could be endless, however these two movies don't let that stop them from making sure the world see’s women differently. They took the stereotypes such as gender roles, female ambition, and sexualizing ,but did not play into what people usually expect. These movies changed the view of how women are looked at because they made them look like a toy and dragged it around like they never really existed and society could shove it. Then they made them positive and even more to prove their points. The biggest example of this was when throughout the films’ they used the ugly duckling effect. As they showcased two different women in two different movies who both stood out from the crowd. They both were not what the men wanted as they didn't fit what they thought as pretty, outgoing, and perfect. Instead they were daring, rebellious, shy, and different in their own ways and they chose to show the world and two men took advantage of that. These men took advantage by using these beautiful women for their own needs and even forced them to do things they didn't want to and didn't take no as an answer. They had to answer questions like are you a virgin and kiss people they didn't have any interest in. Then the conclusion to it was they were called names such as slut, whore, and thot. These examples are the reason why in 2020 we have something called the me too movement. It is a movement for women to stand up and speak out about having to do many sexual favors for men that they never wanted to. This was made because men are disgusting and just take what they want when they want it and don't care about other people's feelings as long as they are pleased and their desires are fixed and met, they think about themselves before anything else. However, in true fashion these two women survived and even fought off and walked away from the men trying to get into their pants. They refused to stick around with the crummy men in their worlds and made them even surfer for their crimes that they committed. They made them bow down and become as sad and broken as they once made the women feel.

Youth Culture is different though each generation and can be described in many ways or forms. For example youth culture is the way children, adolescents and young adults live, and the norms, values, and practices that they share. Now imagine that definition and compare it with your favorite television show or movie. What do you see? You should find a relation between the experiences that you dealt with in life and what the character is doing throughout the series or film. Now take that even one step further and look deep into what character you relate to the most. It could be the smallest, funniest, shyest, craziest character or even the main character. Now really look deeper into that relation as it can be any action, feeling, or even the way that character dresses can depend on why you relate to them so much. This relation with youth culture can be seen throughout every decade, especially the  50”s, 60”s,90’s, and 2000’s with each one having its own style, norms, language, and values that related to the teens and young adults at the time.
Tumblr media
In the 50’s they strongly focused on family based shows and values as they were post world war II and the dawn of the cold war, so they wanted young men to serve and ladies to stay home and take care of all the chores, kids, and sometimes the finances. That's why shows, or back then they were called sitcoms like I Love Lucy, Father Knows Best, and Happy Days were all premiered during this time frame. This taught young ladies how to cook, clean, respect their husbands, and how to dress which was very proper back then. As image was everything for both men and women and if you weren't a perfect and happy family then something was wrong with you. All of this also was happening while also teaching young men to go to work and take care of their family while providing food, protection, and a house. This all because of their norms as they thought a man was everything back then and women were still fighting for many rights. Which leads us to the 60’s. Now this decade also had a huge war in it which caused a lot of norms to change for many people. It even had one of the youngest presidents in the office who was then assassinated later, which made values also slowly change as people's style, music, and lifestyle was different for the better. Girls were able to go out and wear shorter dresses and start stepping out of their comfort zone, especially on the hippie side where they were able to be free and really like themselves. That's why movies like Casino Royale, Barbarella, She, and Cleopatra were put out to show women as strong, independent, outgoing, and capable of things men can do. Sometimes they were even better than the men, however social media still made sure during that time men were still the superior gender and released Dr No, Goldfringers, and DJANGO, to make the men look ten times stronger. Now after reading all that let's skip a few decades and look at the 90’s. This decade was full of crazy and extreme lifestyles as more and more people were stepping out of that ‘’American Dream” life and more into the party life. People were drinking, smoking, building bigger and better homes, driving expensive cars, and more norms were being added as many people were opening up about being gay or lesbian. They also had a very outgoing and different style than the other decades as crop tops, baggy clothes, big shoes, and funny looking hair styles were all introduced as a way to get young teens to step out of their comfort zone. This then led into the early 2000’s as it became the new norm for the next generation. Which strongly believes in being bold, different, but also takes from the other decades. Like from the 50’s and 60's, image is everything and one mess could lead to a variety of different conquense based on the norms or values that society has put in place for us.
Tumblr media
Now that I have dropped all that different outlooks of the different decades on you. You should know I'm a 2000 decade baby so I personally relate not only to the movie Breakfast club but also the character John Bender. I relate to this character in so many different ways as I can see myself as if i was actually in the movie. The first way I relate to him is he is an outsider just like me. We as people don't fit what society considers as perfect or even normal because we have rough past, presents, and maybe even futures as we given up on the reality of a good life. It's like as a person who is just so used to being thrown to the side and forgotten about or used for other’s success doesn't need others to feel sorry for us so we just hide and do our own things. However, with saying another way I relate to John is that we do our own thing and hope someone notices we are doing those actions. We especially want a parent to notice us and actually love us the right way. As just like this character I have a broken home and my mother was very abusive by yelling, screaming, throwing things, and mental breaking me down. Which caused us to change for the worse in hopes they will wake up one day and expect us because society hasn't just like them. All of this then made me three themes that were shown throughout not only this film but many more like Mean Girls,Euphoria, and Mid-90’s.The first theme was rebellion against authority. In everyone of these films they struggled with what adults opinions and demands as they couldn't understand that they were just trying to protect them or teach them a lesson they have to learn. This tends to be a heavy theme that happens today since we young adults grow up just a little too fast trying to keep up with trends, goals, and even just fellow adults. The second theme is the general stereotypes that most movies, short films, and tv shows use to show high school life. Those stereotypes are the popular girl, athlete, nerd, weird kid, mean principal, and most of all the outsider. They then combine them all together and hope that they get along, which never happens since the social class says that can't happen, otherwise you're a complete loser. Unless they are providing something for you, or in the popular girl case worshiping you. Then the last theme is the peer pressure that is actually put on the students to be so perfect. Then on top of that the soundtrack for each film and show gives and assists in telling a story and guides the audience in certain ways, for example emotionally, and it enriches and deepens their experience of the film. That's why if i ever had to choose a soundtrack for any film it would be the Breakfast Club and it would be these ten songs: Simple Minds- Don't You,Nirvana - All Apologies,Paramore: That's What You Get,Numb (Official Video) - Linkin Park,Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication,Journey - Don't Stop Believin',Aerosmith - Dream on,Every Rose Has Its Thorn- Poison,Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue, and Stand by Me - Ben E King. I chose these songs because they all express emotions that are portrayed throughout the movie. From pain to love and everything in between, there are so many different emotions that are brought up in the movie and that’s why I specifically chose these songs.
