Here is an evening gown inspired by Schiaparelli's bias cut dresses from the 1930s. The ties at the back of the neck are long enough to use as a shawl or to possibly wrap around your hair to protect it from some wind. The back of the dress is left open to expose the wearers back in the same way a 1930s evening gown might.
