Anyone know what the 3 ding over the speakerphone means at walmart!!!!!!! It scared me today, me and a friend thought a LP might've been called or something like that idk. HELP...

The top two photos show 1. RFID tags, 2. Soft Tag The bottom two photos show source tagging.

Remove all of these tags, and look thoroughly for them! These will definitely set off security towers!

A normal barcode is not charged or used for theft prevention, it’s used to keep track of stock being bought and what needs to be ordered. YOU CANNOT SET OFF TOWERS WITH A BARCODE.

RFID tags are a fucking pain in the arse to peel off because they are super sticky and peel off in parts. You’ll know how much of a bitch they are whenever you encounter them. Soft tags are easy, and you can stick them onto something else and then leave.

You should not assume just because an item of clothing has a security tag that requires a hook or magnet to take off that is doesn’t ALSO have these tags on it! The local beach wear clothes shop near me has all kinds of soft tags throughout their clothes and super tags!

What kind of tagging have you guys found on clothes/electronics/make up?

Depends on the kind of lifting you’re looking to do!! If you want to conceal in the change rooms, make sure you have all those necessities like scissors, tape, seam ripper, coffee cup (for items after you’ve detagged) and detaching mechanisms if you have them (I personally don’t have any, often I just cut out tags). Either double hang items or what you could do, for example in Victoria’s Secret where they give bags to their shoppers, you could fill that bag up, have it under you arm with your purse and then cover both bags with your coat. You then pick up more items, get the SA to count those things when entering the changeroom, and they’ll most likely skip the bag and you’re home free from there to steal your heart out. Make sure that you took in something with pockets like a sweater or pair of jeans so that you can ditch all the tags from everything you’ve detagged. Hide the items you plan on lifting in your purse or in another shopping bag if you came in with one. MAKE SURE TO THOROUGHLY CHECK FOR ALL TAGS!! another way to bypass changeroom counting would be to go in with a couple of things, then decide that you want to try on more so leave the changeroom and go back into the store then back to the changeroom. Do this a few times and the SA’s will get confused af and will lose track of counting your clothes and you could pick up a few things like that. At department stores or anywhere they sell accessories and makeup, try to get those into the changerooms unnoticed too. You could do this by holding them with the hand under your coat or scarf, or by just telling the SA how many items you have and they might not physically take your clothes to count so then you’re also good to go. For concealing on the floor, just make sure that you’re in a blind spot. Bending down to look at products can create your own blind spots. Never conceal in front of SA’s, other customers and be aware of mirrors. Assume there is always a camera watching you and that done cameras are always pointing your way. The scarf method can be used in on-floor concealing, or hiding it under your coat slung on your arm. If the thing is small enough, hold it in the palm of your hand and put your hand in your bag as if your rummaging around for your phone and drop the item in, pull out your phone and ‘check’ whatever it was you needed you phone for, then put it back. There’s so much more that exists out there, you just have to look around is all 😊 hopefully this helped! Message me if you have anything else to ask xoxo
