Taylor Swift Mania - Sunday 18th February 2024
Taylor Swift the biggest super star of my time came to Melbourne to perform the biggest concert 3 times for 96,000 each night. I was very lucky to be able to be one of many to witness this amazing concert. It's ones of those concerts that will be remembered in history. A few days before the concert I had to rush to the merchise store to get my t shirt and jumper. I also managed to get t shirts for Dom and Trang who were also super fan of Tay Tay. By the time I got there I only had 5 minutes before it closed. My size extra small was sold out in everything but I managed to get a small in a small t shirt and medium in my sweater jumper. The t shirt was an over size fit. I could wear it like a mini dress.
On the actual concert day, I met up with Kat, Joey and Jenny I managed to get us all tickets by lining up at the box office the old fashion way. We met up at Public House pub for drinks and snacks. We all dressed up Lover Theme. I wore a lilac dress with puffy sleeves.
We took the tram on Swan Street, Richmond to MCG. There were so many people there all dressed and excited what was yet to come. The 4 of us eventually had to split up I couldn't get 4 tickets all in a row. I sat with Katherine.
We made in time to see the pre act, Sabrina Carpenter, she was very good. After a few songs the led screen changed to a timer and we saw the infamous cleaning trolley which is what transport Taylor Swift to the stage there was uproar as it passed. The specular concert started out with a blast!
I filmed through out the concert but not all because I wanted to enjoy the whole concert! Singing and dancing while she was performing. I never been anywhere with so many happy people just with peace and love. I truly felt why can't we all be like this.

Hello Dragon, Happy Lunar New Year 9th -11th February 2024
For a first time in a long time , Matt and my friends welcomed the new year at Braybrook Temple at midnight. We had the annual BBH I caught up with Carole, Arthur, Thai , Luan, Hong, Anita and later on we caught up briefly with Sophia and Cam. Mike and Jane were also there too. They some how found me in the crowd of full tables. Hung out with them a bit. Mike has gotten so good at the can throwing game to the point that Jane had enough roses to be a bouquet.
We walked around and took some photos. This year, they had a lot of photo stations so you can pose and take photos. It was the most elaborate I've ever seen it. Carole and Arthur bought some fortune letters which Google attempted to translate which did not make sense. But we all had a good laugh over it. I went inside the temple to pay my respects to my grandfather. By midnight , we watched fireworks and lion and drawing dancing.
The next day, we had lunch at Ho Chi Mama with Matt's family and my parents. Only Fran and Casey came. They joined us at the NGV Triennial exhibitions. I hope to host something like this next year. I just didn't have time and energy to host another event at our house but next year, I would like to host something at home instead.
On Sunday, my parents hosted the family lunar new year afternoon late lunch/early dinner with my extended family from my dad's side. It was the first time I was giving red pockets to my nephews. Matt and I sat on the chairs like grown ups and the kids had to chuc/wish us well. They were all so cute. I also got the boys some toys for making the gingerbread house. I got them bubbles sticks and light sabres. They looked like they had fun hitting Matt with it.
It was a very busy weekend with family and friends. I feel very grateful and happy to have the people and the things I have in my life. I feel very happy and for the first time in my life I feel very rich. I have everything I need in this life to be happy. Last year was a very good year and I have been very lucky the last few years have kind and good to me I hope it will continue to be this way this year too.

Fourth and Final House Warming with Riot Squad - 3rd February 2024
This was our fourth and final house warming party. It was lunar new year themed party. We prepared Vietnamese finger food and spit and pitta bread as the main. Everyone dressed up in something red. I wore a traditional southern Vietnamese outfit with my straw hat. We played some drinking games. The spit was a hit and everyone loved the cup flipping game.

Mornington long weekend - 26th January 2024
On Australia Day, Hong celebrated his birthday at his home. He hosted a bbq. We got him a NY green mose cap. Anita made the birthday cake which was really good. After the party, Matt drove us to Aunt Lucia and Uncle Steve place in Cape Shank.
We stayed there for two nights. We didn't do too much when we arrived we had a few drinks and caught up with Matt's aunt and uncle. The following day, we went to Sorrento for lunch at a beer garden called the Conti bar which was part of the Intercontinental hotel. After lunch, Matt and I went for a walk along the beach. We sat on a bench while Matt napped on my lap. It wasn't hot enough to go in the water but it was nice for a walk. We went to a strawberry farm where we had some ice cream and fresh strawberries.
In the evening, we watched the movie 'Extraction'. We had home made pizza and salad for dinner.
The next day, we had to leave early because Matt had to be home to get ready for his friend's, Andy's wedding. I had a nice quiet relaxing Sunday.

Australian Open - 25th January 2024
Sueyi and I went to the Australian Open after work. We paid for general admission where were wonder around the grounds. We watched the women semi finals. We had takeaway food and a few drinks while watching the game. Normally, around this time the weather is really hot but it was completely different this year. It was cold and wet. We watched the matches in the rain while holding our umbrellas. It was fun in an unexpected way.

Third House Warming with the Cheeky girls - Saturday 21st January 2024
I invited the cheeky girls over to my new place in Ivanhoe for a bbq. We made friendship bracelets for each other and for Taylor Swift concert on February 18th. We served saugages, chicken wings, beef skewers, grain salad, leaf salad and roas potatoes. For dessert we served sticky date pudding.
