If you are a Clexa fan, this is a letter to you from a fellow fan. This past year has been unique for every one of us, but united in the fact that we all suffered and were immeasurably disappointed on March 3rd, 2016. I don’t need to remind you what the 100 writers promised us but then failed to deliver. I don’t need to remind you because we all still carry and feel it on our backs and in our hearts every day. It’s been easier, sharing the weight with you. Thank you for that and for not giving up. It’s impossible to summarize what Lexa was to everyone who felt moved by her because the list has no end. To your brother, she may have been a symbol of the strength that he sees in his sisters and his mother. To your girlfriend, she may have been a source of inspiration, someone who not only taught them how to strive for their goals but also demonstrated that ambition. To you, she may have been your first crush and it left you confused, a little afraid, but also so, so in awe. In me, she helped me let go of my prejudice. Actually, Clarke and Lexa both did that. Love is love. I see that now. Lexa helped shape lives and change mindsets. She was larger than life itself. Everything we know about her radiates overcoming challenges and obstacles. She not only advocated for, but also executed tackling adversary, opposition, and tribulation. Lexa never rolled over submissively in the face of danger. She won her conclave and ascended her throne with elegance, grace, power, and responsibility. Lexa kom Trikru was- is not a loser. These reasons, this character and all that she stands for, is why I urge you to fight for Clexa. Round 4 of the eonline poll ended in defeat for us. But the poll has been reopened and we’ve been given a second chance. What happened last year was disappointing. We rocked the boat and won many categories in a landslide but for the result of… nothing. Not a single trophy to show for it. I hear you. That seriously blows. But when do the people who Clarke and Lexa represent ever get a second chance, let alone a first one? It may be your friend, your brother, your sister, your father… or even you. You might have to fight for your chances in life. It’s just a poll. I know. The outcome doesn’t really matter as long as we have Alyica, Eliza, and each other. But please consider what I wrote about Lexa. And who she is and what she represents. I think we should at least try to close the gap between us and the couple from Skam.
