why does one person from gs tumblr being exposed as a bisexual canadian mean all gs must be trolling, but we're meant to take non gs seriously despite the countless non gs on here who started calling themselves lesbians after a bad breakup with a man and then went back to men after a few years after they got over their hurt? we're bullying them or something if we scrutinize them based on the years of tunglr radfems polilezzing after their nigels break their hearts and then getting bfs after they've moved on from the break up, but one singular person being exposed as a liar (by a group of actual gs) is enough for all of gs tumblr to be assumed trolls. so one woman on gs tumblr turning out to be a bihet means that all gs blogs must also be trolling bihets and we're not allowed to question ngs, but multiple ngs (surprise surprise) not being able to keep up with the lesbian larp forever means nothing? lol
We're not responsible for some bihet larper in our community. It wasn't even that she lied about being a lesbian because she was confused. She lied because SHE GOT OFF on impersonating a middle eastern lesbian 🗿 Shit is loooooow and the ppl who bring her up to argue against gsl are surprise known fakebians and/or lesphobes.

The stupidest thing lesphobes have attempted to do is try to pit femme and masc lesbians against each other. Stop politicizing why lesbians are attracted to certain women. You come up with all these theories and equations in your head when all you have to do is sit the f down and accept you're not a lesbian.
For actual lesbians, femme and masc (or anywhere inbetween), we are stronger together <3

you are one of the best accounts on here, especially for gold star lesbians. You’ll be missed 😞
Thank you :3 There are many that are still active on the tunglr. Just gotta do some digging 👀 since some gsl don't like to use the gsl tag for a variety of reasons.

You don’t know me in the slightest but I’ll miss going through your blog looking at your latest reblogs and posts!! I do hope the best for you and that your career goals are met… also, re: the latest long gsl post you made; “goldstarsappho” has does irreversible damage to gsl spaces by now giving non gsls ammunition against every gsl woc in the form of “what if you’re/she’s just pulling a goldstarsappho” manifesting the worst for her.
I wanna know the full story. I only know some details. How long was she able to get away with her lies? I guess how long was her account active? Also these type of people tend to get everything they dished, back at them 😄 🎶karma's a bitch, you should've known better ToT
Thank you for the support lauv :3

I think I've done all I wanted for gold star lesbians on here :3 My focus in the upcoming year and beyond is something more tangible for gold star lesbians. To get there, I have to focus on my professional career to make a lot of money. I graduated and passed my licensed exam, so that's where I'm off to soon.

I stand with all lesbians. That includes white lesbians. Why am I making this statement? I'm honestly too lazy to specify the details that inspired me to write this post but I can share a couple reasons why. First, I noticed any interactions I have with people who dislike the term "gold star lesbian," try and detract from the conversation by treating me like I'm a white person that comes from privilege. This has manifested itself by comments including "gold star lesbians are like the KKK/nazis/aryan." Most of these extremist comments come from TRAs and troons. However, there have been problematic comments from radfems toward myself and other woc gsl. These comments include "gsl promote violence," "gsl are racist," or the famous one "gsl are misogynistic." In the case of radfems they say this expecting that they're talking to a white lesbian. I know that's the case because I've had a radfem cry about racism and when I set them straight that the person they're talking to is not white and indeed a woc, they denied denied denied. Screenshots of this incident are somewhere in my blog. This is one case I shared but I've also witnessed something similar elsewhere. Maybe this is going to be controversial but I stand by ALL actual lesbians. I'd never discredit the homophobia and misogyny they deal with just because they're white and supposedly more 'privileged.' I don't necessarily agree with that last part either. Most lesbians I've talked to come from poor to low-middle class families. Irregardless of race, many have been targets for bullies and hate because they're homosexual. Being a lesbian can be a very isolating experience and hard on our mental health. This is even harder because people love to encroach on the boundaries of actual lesbians. My point is white lesbians have a lot to lose by speaking up for actual lesbians. Don't stop because other lesbians will be here to defend you. Ofc do the same for black, asian, hispanic, etc lesbians <3

On choice and privilege
One thing that continues to baffle me about gold star hate in the lesbian community is the idea that being a gold star is a privilege, as opposed to a conscious choice made in the face of varying levels of hostility from society.
But if one asks a non-gold star why she decided to be with a man, the answers are often something like:
I was in a dire financial situation and this man paid me (in the case of sex work) or supported me.
I was afraid of losing my family or my friends.
I was afraid of God/of my congregation.
I was afraid of violence.
So in light of those very real explanations as to why as lesbian could choose to be with a man, why would a gold star “privileged” for not making the same choice as you? Clearly, by not being with a man, we *choose* to face the very real threat of all these things that non-gold stars list as the reasons why they were with men. In my time as a “privileged” gold star in the so-called “ideal” situation (White, liberal, raised middle-class, plenty of opportunities for financial independence), I have faced moments where having a boyfriend or johns would have alleviated a lot of my problems and prevented a lot of my suffering. But I still didn’t date a man. Some of the women I know, all of them living in America or Europe, faced conversion therapy, disowning, family violence, religious indoctrination, all for being gay and never trying to be with a man. Is that privilege?
Obviously, some lesbians do make the choice to deny their true selves and think that dating or fucking men will better their circumstances. And based on their testimonies, it didn’t. However, I question this idea. Clearly, if you did it, you gained something from it. Maybe in retrospect it doesn’t seem like it was worth it, and I can imagine why that would be. But the girl in my year who came out as a lesbian as an adult, dating boys in high school so she wouldn’t suffer the same homophobia me and my friends, is not a mere victim here. I’m not privileged over her because I chose to face homophobia head-on while she cowered in fear of it. And clearly, my existence proves that she did have a choice. She could have done the same thing as me. She would have lost some friends, maybe become the butt of some jokes. Suffered through the indignities of being a teenage lesbian. But she chose a different path. And I’m willing to sympathize with that. I’m willing to accept that we all make different choices that we think will benefit us in some way. But why is this sympathy always so one-sided?
