We are very close to a temporary 5 day ceasefire in order to exchange women and children hostages and allow aid into Gaza.
I hope everyone continues to put pressure on their local representatives and urge them to call for a ceasefire to ensure the Israeli government allows this to happen. If you’re from the UK, US, Canada or Australia here is a linktree with resources on how you can call/email your local reps

Image 2: Capitalist-imperialism (monopoly capitalism).
The final stage of capitalism, characterized by the transfer of wealth from oppressed nations to oppressor nations, monopolies' decisive role in economic life, the emergence of finance capital (the merger of industrial with banking capital), the formation of international monopolist capitalist associations, and the territorial division of the world by capitalist powers.
Imperialism enriches the oppressor country whose ruling class, the borgeoisie, utilise various instruments including international free trade organizations, financial institutions, the state apparatus, and fascist forces to expropriate wealth generated by the worlking class in the exploited semi-colonies (neocolonies) in the Global South (The Third World).
------------------------------------------
Image 3: [bullet points only]
The top 1% of the world's population owns more wealth than the rest of the world combined
The Global North (The first World) consumes 80% of the worlds' national resources while complrising only 20% of the world population
Under capitalism, an estimated 25 million people die every year due to poverty, starvation, and lack of access to basic healthcare and sanitation - the vast majority in the Globla South
152 million+ children are engaged in child labor, the majority living in the Global South
While the wealthiest 10% of the world population is responsible for 50% of global carbon emissions, poor communities bare the brunt of climate change with 98-99% of climate change-related deaths occurring in the Global South
An additional 250,000 deaths per year are predicted between 2030 and 2050, mostly in the Global South
Tax evasion and illicit financial flows amount to $1 trillion+ yearsly globally, with multinational corporations accounting for a significant portion.
Drain from the Global South to the Global North measured in terms of raw material, land, energy, and labor is estimated between $3.6 trillion and $20.3 trillion
Between 1990-2015, total drain sum from South to North amounts to $242 trillion
------------------------------------------
Image 4: bureucrat capitalism (bureaucratic-comprador capitalism)
The capitalist system implemented in oppressed nations by imperialist powers which maintains a backwards economic based with semi-colonial and often semi-feudal production relations. In this system, the oppressed country's puppet bureaucrats, comprador bourgeoise, and big landowners (often in the form of feudal landlords) siphon wealth generated by the proletariat and the peasantry to the imperialist bourgeoisie.
------------------------------------------
Image 5: [bullet points only]
Narendra Modi implemented neoliberal economic policies that priotize the interests of Western corporations furthering the exploitation of Indian farmers living in semi-feudal conditions, and who represent over 60% of the population
Following the US-backed Rodrigo Duterte's "war on drugs" campain and extrajudicial killings that claimed over 30,000 lives in the Philippines, the US-backed Bongbong Marcos has become president after a fraudulent election - Marcos recently announced plans to build 5 new US military bases in the country and expand joint military exercises in an effort [corrected from "affort"] to maintain US geopolitical dominance and protect multinational corporate interests
Under Jair Bolsonaro's rule in Brazil, land-grabbing and attacks on indigenous land protectors increased while environmental protections were dismantled to serve US mining and logging companies - Brazil has been the deadliest country for land/environmental activisits with at least 1,119 killed between 2010-2019
Following the right-wing parliamentary coup in Peru last year, states forces brutally repressed protestors, killing 69 civilians & arresting hundres - this year the US ambassador to Peru met with the Peruvian minister of energy and mining, its vice minister of hydrocarbons, and the vice minister of mining to discuss investment in extractive industries
Under Mohamman bin Salman's rule, Saudi Arabia has remained a loyal partner to US imperialist interests in its oil reserves, with both countries and the UK conducting a genocidal blockade on Yemen while arming Saudi Arabia - over 233,000 Yemenis have been killed since 2015 with 131,000 a result of blockade-induced food insecurity and lack of access to health services
Throughout Paul Biya's rule in Cameroon, IMF structural [corrected from "strucutral"] adjustment programs have kept millions in high profits and causing environmental degradation.

Image 8: colonialism
Open control and exploitation of a nation's indigenous people and land by a colonial power, usually by military force and settlers
While older forms of colonialism still exist totday, most people live under neocolonial (semi-colonial) rule. As colonial powers granted colonized nations nominal independence in the 19th and 20th centuries, semi-colonial relations were maintained by international capitalist powers. Backwards economic bases and their superstructures established under colonialism persist under capitalist-imperialism today - this is recognizable in institutional racism, the sex trade, human trafficking, mass incarceration, prison labor, land grabbing, militarism, forced migration, and the super exploitation of workers in the Global South and oppressed nations within the Global North such as Black and Indigenous peoples.
Oppressed countries who resist Western colonialism and semi colonialism face the threat of US Sanctions, which currently affect a third of the world population.

Image 10: proletarian internationalism
------------------------------------------
Image 11: [black-and-white image of Claudia Jones speaking in a panel. Claudia Jones quote and description.]
"We communists adhere to the fundamental belief that complete and lasting equality of imperialist oppressed nations and people can be guarunteed only with the establishment of socialism.
...Our approach is based on proletarian internationalism, which recognizes that the workers of an oppressing nation best fight against national oppression - especially by their "own" bourgeoisie - once they understand that such is the road to their own freedom. It is based on the Marxist proposition that "no nation can be free if it oppresses other nations!"

my favorite scene in LotR as a kid was when Sam started miserably freestyling in the tower of Cirith Ungol and the only reason he ever found Frodo was because he deliriously tried to join in

So Arizona launched an “education hotline” that allows “concerned parents” to report “””critical race theory””” and other things like ~gender identity~ being taught in the classroom
It would be a shame if the number and email were spread to bad actors looking to prank call the AZ Department of Education
