GPowingway WIP update: Preset Package Manager!
With its shader collection stable and working with the vast majority of the preset collections out there, it's time to tackle the next step of the project. Introducing: the GPosingway Package Manager!
This tool will let you download and install compatible preset and shader collections automatically, no more messy manual copies necessary. It'll also work with "gwpreset:" URLs and .gwpreset files.
Click a link, confirm the download, and your new preset is installed and ready.
Preset creators: Dependency management is on the way! Include a JSON file in your .ZIP for easy identification of required shaders, streamlining the experience for your users.
The objective is to simplify your preset installs, eliminating manual steps. It will be open-source and available on GitHub. Got feature suggestions? Please let me know!

GPosingway News!
Some news from the dev front: GPosingway just hit a milestone - its shader bundle reached 98% coverage for the test suite of collected presets! That means near-universal compatibility with favorites like Afterglow, Espresso Glow, Kyren Cinematic, and so many more.
Ever had ReShade setups break when combining presets collections? It's often mismatched shaders. GPosingway works by finding shader versions that play nice together, then retesting presets to ensure they look as the creators intended.
The preset collection and testing process is HUGE work, so some tools were built to help. For example, a linter analyzes presets, finds those shaders, and suggests compatible versions, massively streamlining the process.
Release 6 is coming this Friday with those fresh shaders and more preset additions! We're also expanding our list of community collaborators - that means an even richer, pre-tested selection of GPose goodness in the future.

Community Update: 3K+ Members @ Sights of Eorzea!
Wow, you all blew right past my expectations! I'm thrilled to see our community on Sights of Eorzea go over the 3,000 member milestone. Seeing so many passionate folks dedicated to making Final Fantasy XIV a more beautiful place is just amazing. ✨
I'm especially proud of how much GPosingway has been resonating with the community. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many of you finding the ease-of-use and performance improvements a big help. It's heartwarming knowing GPosingway is breathing new life into beloved shader collections and enhancing your gposing experience.

Copyright.fx + GPosingway!
For those struggling with the Copyright.fx shader migrated into ReShade, or using the shader bundled with GPosingway, here's a fix to make it work:
Locate and Enable Copyright.fx
Click 'Edit Global preprocessor Definitions'
add a key named _Copyright_Texture_Source
set one of the valid numeric codes in the reference table below... and voilà! You should be able to use Copyright.fx as usual.
(Keep in mind that creating a Global key will set a default selection for all presets, while a Current Preset definition will keep it restricted to the preset in use.)

As a technology enthusiast and someone that see the value in generative technologies, Tumblr's announcement comes off as extremely tone-deaf.
User protections matter, of course, but content creators deserve to be paid for the work that powers these tools.
It isn't something impossible or impractical. Shutterstock, for example, tapped into its sizeable media collection while at the same time establishing a model where artists are paid royalties whenever their work is used for its generative AI tool.
Tumblr has a chance to join the effort and lead the charge for ethical AI, but only if they change course and prioritize fair compensation.

AI companies are acquiring content across the internet for a variety of purposes in all sorts of ways. There are currently very few regulations giving individuals control over how their content is used by AI platforms. Proposed regulations around the world, like the European Union’s AI Act, would give individuals more control over whether and how their content is utilized by this emerging technology. We support this right regardless of geographic location, so we’re releasing a toggle to opt out of sharing content from your public blogs with third parties, including AI platforms that use this content for model training. We’re also working with partners to ensure you have as much control as possible regarding what content is used.
Here are the important details:
We already discourage AI crawlers from gathering content from Tumblr and will continue to do so, save for those with which we partner.
We want to represent all of you on Tumblr and ensure that protections are in place for how your content is used. We are committed to making sure our partners respect those decisions.
