In terms of rayllum, this season was my favorite for sure, and I think that’s because it does a really good job with “show, don’t tell”. The kisses and “I love you”s in season three were wonderful, but what’s really strong about the two of them in season 5 is that they seem just as in love without that. There are big gestures of trust and the lengths they go to protect each other– and there are the moments when they’re happy together, or angry together, or just fist-bumping or holding hands in the background, and you can just tell that all the little things they go through are so much better with the other person there. It’s love in its truest form, in all the different ways it presents, and the fact that I say that without a single kiss scene between the two makes it even more powerful
