PSA: Hi hi! Just wanted to give a little notice in case I recently followed you or liked a post of yours, etc. I know this blog has been on an (unannounced) hiatus for about 5 months -- and I apologize for that -- but I'm hoping to be active again soon! Little modern things:

Hange owns two dogs, a german shepherd and a great dane, named Bean and Sawney.

She’s had them since she first started living on her own, which was at age 17.

( This was because her biological family died when she was 15, and although it was deemed merely because of a serious illness --- she suspected some foul play was involved.

For a time, she did have a foster family. However, they did not particularly like her odd personality and energetic tendencies. And thus, when she finally got her license and a car; she got emancipated and moved out.

She still keeps in touch with them, still grateful for them housing her for a year, though she’s not extremely close to them or anything.

Anyways, back to the important info --- dogs.

Both dogs are very unruly and only really listen to Hange, and despite being fairly old; they have much energy to spare.

They are also unbelievably protective of her and trust very few who come into the house. Those few being: Levi and Moblit. Anyone else get subjected to the harsh treatment of growling and occasionally a bite or two if they’re really setting off some bad vibes.

Hange is personally known to talk to them when she’s brainstorming or just simply in need of some company. Said dogs have learned to act accordingly dependent on her tone and/or actions. Even going as far as to pull her out of her seat to get her to eat or bringing her bottles of water.

Essentially, without her dogs, she’d be much more of a stay at home wreck and they’re most of the reason she’s not wholly devoted to her job.

( So god help her when they die before she retires. )
