PSA! How to catch infinite amounts of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves!
So Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are appearing in 5 Star Tera raids this weekend for the second and possibly final time meaning that after this it may become impossible to catch them again this gen, however there is a solution!
Note: This can only be done before 29/04/2024.
What you'll need:
Both Scarlet and Violet, and two Nintendo Switchs.
1. On the first Switch create an extra Switch user and connect it to a Nintendo Network account.
2. Boot up each game on your first Switch and progress to the point where you unlock Mystery Gift at Los Platos, press "X", then select "Poké Portal", "Mystery Gift, "Check Poké Portal News", the raids are now on your save.(IMPORTANT! After you've done this you can NEVER connect these saves to the internet or you WILL LOSE access to the raids forever).
3. Beat the entire base game to unlock 5 star Tera Raids (the event raids will still be on your save even if you haven't progressed that far and will be accessible whenever you do).
4. Head over to the Walking Wake (Scarlet) or Iron Leaves (Violet) Tera Raid and select "Challenge as a group", this will generate a link code.
5. Boot up your game on your second Switch, progressing to the point where your Treasure Hunt starts at Mesagoza, press "X" and select "Poké Portal", then select "Tera Raid", followed by "Link Code".
6. Type in the link code generated from the raid on your first Switch and press "+", this will add you to the Tera Raid on your first Switch allowing you to battle Walking Wake/Iron Leaves.
Congrats! Now you can catch as many Walking Wake and Iron Leaves as you want. You're still restricted to one of each per save, but you can restart the saves on your second Switch to get more. (Note: obedience isn't a thing in Tera Raids, so you can just trade a powerful Pokémon to your second switch saves to make defeating it easier).
