About the Muse:

Born on October 24, 1994 to one Ms. Lee. The name given at birth was as follows: Chrystal Soo Jung. The adopted Korean name was as follows, Jung Soojung. The Korean name was used most in the home, and the birth name was used during education.

Soojung was scouted in 2000 while on a family vacation to South Korea, at the time she was 6 by Korean age (5 by American). Her parents didn't want her to start training for anything at the time, feeling she was too young. However, they let her older sister Jessica begin training at the time. She was aged 12 by the Korean aging system (11 by American).

Soojung began her training in 2006. She trained for 3 years before debuting as a member in the quintet girl group f(x).

f(x) was formed with international members. There was Soojung, a Korean-American born and raised in San Francisco, California until her sister began training. Following her would be the second youngest, Choi Jinri a Korean in both nationality and ethnicity. Next would come Park Sun Young, the same as Jinri. Following her, Amber Liu a Taiwanese-American who entered the company after passing a global audition in 2008. Last, but certainly not least, came Chinese leader Song Qian.

Soojung adopted an alternate spelling of her birthname as her stage name, Krystal. She played the role of Maknae and Lead Vocalist in the group. The group accumulated a total of 3 full length albums by 2014, and more mini-albums and singles. The group is considered to be a leading group in the idustry with high sales in both physical and digital releases.

Soojung has appeared in various dramas and variety programs. She's even performed OSTs.

Commonly, the public describes her as a 'Mini Ice Princess' seeing her personality to be similar to her sisters. Her sister is called an Ice Princess for her cold, but sassy personality. It's not a negative thing, in all actuality. Some people consider it to be, but most do not. However, some claim Soojung to be ruder and colder with no evening out traits. While people are allowed to have their opinion based on what they see and perceive, it happens to be egregiously wrong.

In fact, Soojung isn't cold, but she tends to shy away from the loud attention that her career gives her. Some fans have seen and noticed she is actually more awkward and unsure of herself. Most fans notice this in fancams of the ends for SMTown Concerts. The other members will be off playing with others on stage, but Soojung will stick to her sister or in the recent cases her sister hasn't been there, she'll wander around by herself.

Soojung is more insecure than she appears, she holds confidence in many things, but is insecure about herself as a person. She is confident for the most part of her looks. Very rarely does she worry about them. And she tries very hard not to let the public attitude affect her.

Soojung does hold health issues, like many people in her line of work. However, hers are a slight bit different. She has anemia, like her sister, and over working herself has resulted in her fainting during performances. This tends to be an issue, since she is very driven to do her work to the best of her abilities. She wants to deal with a hectic schedule as well as anyone else. In addition to her anemia, she has a few mental problems. Things that are actually common in the idustry. Soojung has had, and dealt with, depression. It's not to the point of suicidal thoughts nor self harm, however she does get sad and has a hard time getting up in the morning to do even the simplest of tasks. In her offtime or on her work time. It's something she can cope with. However, it does tend to get her pretty low at times.

More privately, and something she doesn't share with others, is she is rather confused with her sexuality. She's never bothered to discuss this with anyone, no not even her sister. Soojung has found males attractive. She's never, however, fantasized about dating nor kissing them. She's found females attractive, and even found herself staring at them. Some less than noble thoughts coming to mind. Soojung has convinced herself it's perfect normal and there's nothing wrong with it. Even so, it does tend to make her think once in a while
