“i’ve...thought about fusing again.” 

the ocean gem comments lightly. with all these new fusions out and about now, how could she not? it was an intriguing notion, but one she wasn’t sure how to go about.

“i just--what if i end up fusing something into like malachite again? or--something worse?”

“you know....i’ve had my own reservations about this planet when i came.” blue hues would glance at the ground as one hand would rub her other arm. it was certainly odd, being in front of steven’s mother to be quite honest. but lapis can definitely see the resemblance between the two. 

lapis looks up at the diamond. “i hated the earth. i wanted to leave at first, but he showed me how great it is. that i can make it a home. if steven hadn’t done that, then i really wouldn’t be here at all.” 

lapis spies a leaf on the ground and smiles slightly. it brought back memories of steven and her flying around back then. 

“the crystal gems and i became kind of like a family, i guess.”
