A song can mean a lot of things. 

For Tine, Scrubb’s songs are channel of emotion. The songs make his days better. If he hears them when he’s happy, he will feel happier. And at times when he’s sad, their songs are the comfort he turns to. Love can feel a lot more than just a fleeting emotion when he hears them. Scrubb’s songs mean a lot to Tine—in a way that their melody and lyrics amplify his joy and console his sorrow. That is why he’s such a fan of them and holds them dear to his heart.

But for Sarawat, Scrubb’s songs don’t have that meaning. He’s not a fan of the band, he finds their songs good but there are others who he finds as good too if not better. However, somehow, their songs mean so much more than mere strings of chords to be played for him. Scrubb is how he got to meet Tine, their song is what made it possible for Sarawat to see Tine’s expression of pure joy and delight that he fell in love with. Scrubb’s songs are the way he gets Tine’s attention and admiration. Scrubb’s songs are how he pours his heart out for Tine to see. Ultimately, Scrubb’s songs are the epitome of his feelings towards Tine. 

Now that Tine and Sarawat realize how they feel—and how they mean—towards each other, Scrubb’s songs are their journey to their relationship. Scrubb’s songs are their songs, the witnesses to love that grows between them. Until, finally, the two of them get to be together—as boyfriends.(*)
