This is the same thing over and over again. Palestinians die every day, but it gets a lukewarm headline from mainstream media because death and destruction is inherent to Arabness. Then an aid convoy with white workers is obliterated, and now both the president of the United States and the president of Israel are making statements apologizing for “the poor protection of aid workers.” At one point we were seeing multiple reports a day of paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent Society dying, but nothing. Crickets. Because they don’t care. And even in these “remorseful statements” there is a strategic reminder that white lives hold more weight than brown lives.

Biden did not call for a permanent ceasefire. He called for Israel to “put more effort into protecting civilians and aid workers.” He did not give any specific steps as to how, nor did he specify what the repercussions would be if Israel failed to meet those standards. We have been here before.

I actually can’t with mainstream media clamoring to suck Biden’s dick off with “he just gave a SHARPLY WORDED statement about the attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy” because not only do you immediately find genocide apologist language strewn all over it, but it’s also incredibly telling that he only ever addresses Israel’s continuous attacks when the majority of the aid workers were white. This is not to say that their deaths should not be making waves—they were brave aid workers who were tragically killed, as many have been, at the hand of Israel. But this has been Palestinians’ reality for months

People who’re trying to “This is just Tumblr” their way out of being informed about Palestine (re: a genocide) are so fucking weird. This is a social media. Thousands of dollars have been raised from people sharing information about Palestine on Tumblr. Just say you’re not saying anything bc you care more about your Tumblr blog aesthetic—or because you don’t want to put the effort into learning what’s happening. Like just own up to not giving a fuck

Do people realize that Israel is so unrestrained that it’s now launching attacks in Lebanon and Syria as well. Do people realize how little Arab people mean to these genocidal maniacs that they are now killing people in three Arab countries. Can genocide apologists pause their pure hatred for Arabs to at the very least admit this. Or are we going to pretend that Israel has a reason to be intensifying attacks in Damascus right now

horrific article from the bbc broke last about israel detaining healthcare workers, stripping them naked, and beating them for days on end. we already knew israel was doing this to palestinian detainees, but to be deliberately targeting medical personnel--doctors and nurses and medical assistants on the ground trying to heal wounded palestinians--and then literally torturing them are on levels of cruelty i can't even begin to compute.
a humanitarian law expert in this article calls the footage coming out of this "concerning." i call it the terms racists love to throw baselessly at arabs: barbaric and inhumane.
