So this is where I started trying to use a bit of stippling in my shading, can't say I really like the technique but I wanted to give it a go for learnings sake

Again, really happy with how this one came out. I had honestly wanted to do something a little more creative than just a Sandshrew for "Armadillo" but he came out so well that I couldn't resist inking him!

So I'm pretty proud with how this one came out, not to say I wasn't satisfied with my previous drawings up to that point, but it really felt like I hit a break through with this one (^w^)

Not gonna lie, I had originally planned on using the "kindness Pokemon" Togetic for this one, but I just couldn't think of a good scene for it. So what better way to make a crying kid happy than to give them sweets! XD

Not gonna lie, this one felt very relatable as I worked on it. Slowpoke, I believe, is the spirit Pokemon of many people in this day and age lol

So I'm not the best with feathers and Rufflet has a lot of plumage, but I think it came out ok?

I really liked working on this one, it seemed pretty on point for Pancham XD

Pretty happy with how this one turned out, it was a new perspective to work with :)

Tried a brush pen for this one to see how it'd go, it's not bad to use but I was hesitant to try shading with it :/

This one was cute but I do wish I hadn't made their eyes quite so void like XD

So Roselia is a pretty weird Pokemon to me, it's legs are kind just pointy wiggles so I had a surprisingly hard time with this despite trying to keep the line art simple

So Litwick was cute and fun to draw, but looking back on it now I do think I could've positioned it a little better

So Shellder was weirdly hard to draw and even after getting the shell right it just still looks kinda off somehow? Can't quite put my finger on it.

Now this one I really had fun with! I like Noibat quite a bit and it's pretty tricky for me to draw, but I'm so happy it turned out cute in the end!

I liked the concept of this Spewpa, but I decided to hold back on the shading for this one since I did a lot in the last one, but overall I'm happy with it :)

About a year ago, after having not really drawn anything in months due to stress and mental health, I'd decided that I wanted to take a step back and get in touch with my art again to relearn a few things.
So I tried my first Inktober with a Pokemon twist, to relearn what I liked and disliked about my art style and what I needed to work on, and to try new things that I hadn't really tried mastering before.
I'd like to think I did get better since then, but who can say? And there's always room for improvement! So I wanted to share what my progress was like for anyone else on an art journey :)

Here we have day 1! Gliscor the Gargoyle, I can't say I'm too happy with the body proportions since it was my first one of the month but I got to play with the shading a lot.
