therian tips! (food)
so, I CRAVE raw meat a lot even though I can't eat it :( BUT I have compiled a list of foods that beings with human bodies can't eat (or just prefer not to), but that most animals eat that I could translate to human foods :D
worms = gummy worms :3 if you want them to be slimy like real worms, you could put water or a thin layer of oil on them
little insects = raisins or chia seed pudding (thank you to @puddin-dear 😌)
bigger insects = you could prob eat plain chips, I think it would have the same crunch affect. or chippers! (chocolate covered potato chips)
carrion (dead animal flesh) = jerky
raw meat = meat sticks (I believe you can get them in beef or turkey) or raw pepperoni (you can get it small bags). suggested by @avocados019, salami :3, and commented by @horse-wisteria 😅 prosciutto (which I honestly forgot was a thing 😭) and multiple beings have said salmon and I keep forgetting about salmon 😭
mice = marshmallow mice (credits to @ink-man-sam )
kibble = cereal (I think most of you know that though) or for something softer- gnocchi! (Suggested by
treats = Scooby snacks!
Snacks:
Go-gurt (if you freeze them, they're really good!)

As much as it is tempting and honestly a wonderful idea in theory, (finding therians outside of internet communities is certainly something a lot of us crave; i've had my fair share of searching up "therian packs near me") this has a very high chance of spawning something that does more harm than good without the right security and trust- especially since this is something that deals with irl locations and sensitive information in a community that is growing larger each day. More population means a lot more minors (or anybeings, really) who are much more susceptible to others with not-so-great intents.
I can see everything on the forum without any sort of confirmation or blockage before login, so that means anyone else can, too.
Without question this is no hate to OP, nor should it spawn any- I think it's SUPER awesome that they're trying something that brings the community together more, but I agree that this is something that definitely shouldn't be out there quite yet.

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”
I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.
It’s not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

To the voids, the glitches, the abstract, the eldritch, the robots, the objectheads: Do with this brief moment of flesh what you will. You know who you really are inside, and that’s all that matters. Your soul still bleeds the color of the stars.
To the monsters, the zombies, the cryptids, the vampires, the werewolves and ghosts: The world will always fear that which it does not understand. We understand each other, and through this we have made our own world. We create our reality, and that’s what’s important.
To the therians, the otherkin, the fictionkin, voidpunks, and all other nonhumans: We are strong. We know who and what we are. We know what this flesh conceals. One day, the world will see us for who we are and accept us as her children all the same. For now, we persevere.

In mine and many other east Asian cultures, the dragon traditionally symbolises things like power, wealth and strength (imperial symbol and all)
I think we often forget that in the story of the Great Race, the dragon came in fifth because it'd stopped to give people rain. Then it'd stopped again to push a rabbit adrift on a log across the wide river so it reached the shore safely (that's why the Rabbit year comes before the Dragon).
Dragons aren't meant to just be powerful - they are meant to do good with such power, and to help those in need.
So in this lunar new year, I hope you gain more power, so that you might be able to help others. I pray you have abundant resources so you may give to yourself and those around you. I wish you courage, endurance, kindness and generosity, for yourself and your people.
I hope you, and I, will be rain givers, life preservers, joy bringers.
I hope we will be dragons.
