When the sky is not clear and the air is not warm it is easy to think that nothing is going well. The sun needs a break too, sometimes. A star is still a star whether you can see it or not, apply this logic to yourself. People do not need to see you work hard to know that you are doing it, you are strong enough on your own. Gymnastics has come a long compared to that old footage,Ā but this difference is particularly significant for black girls! BecauseĀ they have never taken seriously our abilities! Just because the color of our skin is not what they want to see!

Over the next 30 days, we are actively encouraging you to share your LGBTQ+ pride with all of Tumblr. You deserve to be proud of who you are 365 days a year, but these next 30 days, weāre going all out. Thereās no wrong way to do it. Upload an illustration. Write a poem. Make a GIF. Ā Take a selfie and slap a Pride sticker on it. Maybe send a sticker to a friend. These precious babies are in your app right now:
