I walked on the path I thought I've known too well
I tripped, i stumbled, sin and fell
Bruised, hurt, helpless I have been

My Autobiography
My life has nothing extraordinary in it. I live a common one, in a rural area surrounded by the trees, away from the huffs and puffs of the vehicles passing by. I can say, common, yes. But i am lucky to be blessed with my three older sister and two older brothers who are very supportive and thoughtful. They say that I am my mothers’ favorite. Well in things you won’t expect. She loves scolding me, she loves making fun of me. I am her favorite right? My father joined heavens on the midyear of 2011, and truth to be told I claimed to be his favorite; seriously this time. I am married with a very kind and down to earth guy who goes up and beyond every day to support me and our daughter.
I just turned 29 last October, and seriously my age doesn’t worry me. I live in the words “older but wiser” because you see, i have experienced and learned a lot in the past decade. My journey isn’t smooth sailing as it seems. I stumbled, i had bruises, i cried, I whined, i went astray, and went home sunken.
Growing up, I thought we were rich, I mean, we have people working and tilting our land, my father was working, we have crops, my other brother was also working but i was wrong, wrong in many ways. It hits me hard when i wasn’t able to push through in college after graduating in high school. I stayed at home for almost two years without doing anything. Which was not me. I believe in productivity. I started to regain myself, started reading again, and attended seminars and workshop and later on studied english proficiency for call center agents, applied for work, got hired, got some awards and now this, I am now a student once again. I stopped for 11 years. But i am here now. I can hear the birds singing with the thought of me receiving my diploma it gives me goosebumps.
Indeed, I am lucky to have my family by my side supporting me all the way of my journey.
And now, i am typing this as a requirement in one of my subject as a future educator. I don’t see this as a requirement though, i see this as a way of looking back, and assessing myself. Where am i now, who am i now?
