caroline chuckled as cher wrapped her arms around her . surely nick would understand . he wouldn't just upright not want anything to do with her. still , caroline's mind automatically couldn't help but go to the worst case scenario . she looked at cher and smiled softly . " fine . i'll go talk to him. " the blonde sighed before smiling more as her friend gave her a kiss on her cheek . " deal. also . . . what kind of lip gloss are you using? it smells really good . "

"I'll tell you what, Miss Sunnyvale." The blonde teased her friend, moving behind her to playfully wrap her arms around her and embrace her. "Why don't you get out of here and go try and tell him now. And if you manage, you and I will get coffee and dessert tomorrow. My treat." Cher smirked at Caroline, placing a smacking kiss to her friend's cheek and leaving lip gloss. "And if you don't, it's your treat." She added with a little laugh.

" well , can't say i blame you about the sunnyvale part but . . . if your mother can't accept you for you and all , then what's the point ? " it's hard , i know. parents can be . . . strange but , i'd say do what makes you happy . screw whoever can't accept you for you. i know , easier said than done but things suck enough in life. and you seem like the type that deserves to be happy . " truthfully , caroline had went through so many hardships. most no one knew about . except nick . and out of all that of that , he was the last remaining bit of good in her life . the blonde perked up though at the mention of sam joining the cheer squad . " hey ! that's great ! you'll love it . and if you ever need help with the routines , come find me. they haven't changed that much since i was on it. " she chuckled . the scent of blood automatically arose worry from the blonde. far before the first camper was found , diced into pieces . after helping gary with the campers inside the messhall and realizing there were still several missing , she bolted out of the larger cabin and began searching for the remainder. spotting kurt heading towards the same place she had exited , she ran towards him . " oh god . . . " joan . that hit a little too close to her considering caroline had grown close to the other counselor . " it's tommy . . . " she glanced around , making sure that the shadysider wasn't coming towards them before looking back at kurt . " we need to find everyone else . . . and get the hell out of here . "

"Joan... she's..." Fuck, fuck, fuck. There was blood all over his bunk, he was in nothing but a pair of shorts he'd managed to grab before bolting out his bunk. Joan might have been a Shadysider, but she hadn't deserved that. There had to be something in the fucking water in Shadyside. Something that made them go batshit crazy and start killing one another, brutally. He'd heard the stories, but kinda felt like they were bullshit and hyped up more than they should be, but god, seeing it? "Joan's dead, in my bunk... someone killed her."

caroline chuckled softly. " yeah . . . that's a bit of a mouthful , honestly . " at this point , she wasn't surprised by the insanity that came from hawkins . she had heard about dart from steve and how the demodog had protected the group against the others . still , caroline wasn't a fan of the creature. she looked at the other girl and faintly grinned. " no , i get it . and i agree . they're too young for all of this . " the blonde replied. " anytime. i do what i can. when i can at least. " caroline's smile grew a bit softer . " in a lot of ways , they help me too . i wasn't always this . . . understanding and all. "

Nick enoyed it when his wife got impatient in the way she was suggesting. When she was impatient because he was being an idiot, it was a different story, but this? This was the ideal situation for him. The ideal outcome. A smirk coming onto his lips, the Goode let out a chuckle and pressed a teasing kiss to her nose. "I know."
