He's clearly the wrong person for you🙄😂
Some of us care about our health more than "having fun"
Hope you find someone a million times better than that guy
Don’t worry, I cut him off. He’s no good. And I feel better about myself.

Great news everyone! Dragons can now be stolen and are not at all sentient beings capable of roasting someone they don’t accept!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or, you know, Jaehaerys said Saera would have stolen a dragon as she did not have permission from the king to possess a dragon. Jaehaerys only allowed a few of his children to claim dragons. Because the belief that the Targaryens control them is an illusion. Viserys did not have this rule for his children. He allowed all his children a dragon. They were going to stop at dragonstone and get him a hatchling.
Aemond wasn’t allowed near Vhagar because his mother thought it was too dangerous. Not because he wasn’t allowed to claim one.
Yeah, that really must be awkward for you, huh? Saera wasn’t permitted a dragon by the king, so she would have stolen one. Aemond was allowed to claim a dragon or choose an egg. He chose to claim Vhagar.

I realised the reason Alicent is always on Aegon Ass about being with Aemond all the time such as when Aemond lost his eye and when Luke and Jace pranked Aemond with the pig is because she so badly wanted to be like Jace and Luke.
Jace is always there with Luke helping him but Aegon always just laughs or get drunk. She wanted to prove to everyone that she had the perfect sons unlike Rhaenyra but just to prove her wrong again. They’re just bickering

In Need Of an Heir Part 1
Warnings after the break

In Need Of an Heir master list
Canon Era Aemond Masterlist
Full Masterlist

Warnings: nothing yet, really. Mentions of war, mention of murder, arraigned marriage. Brief mention of possible noncon.
He picked you. Somehow, a prince, an actual prince, came in and chose to marry you. The excitement of that scenario was all too short lived with the arrival of another prince.
When Prince Lucerys entered the hall, you barely registered what he was saying, still riding out the high of being chosen to be a princess. That high quickly turned to dread as you watched the handsome prince turn into a vengeful and violent man. Your stomach dropped as he asked your father to take his leave without sparing you a second glance on his way out. The fairy-tale Princes you had read about as a girl he was not.
That would be the last time you would see him for quite a while. Which was preferable to you since he murdered his own nephew immediately after leaving. A fact that left you devastated. You couldn't possibly still marry this maniac, This kinslayer with a god complex. You thought surely your father would cancel the betrothal or at least alter it so you would marry the less psychotic Prince Daeron instead.
This murder plunged the realm into war, delaying the marriage plans much to your relief. You tried to reason with your parents. Saying you couldn't marry a crazed violent kinslayer. That your children would be cursed or he might kill you if you say or do the wrong thing. Your mother shared this concern, but your father was steadfast in his belief that this would elevate his house's standing in the realm, and you would do your duty and marry as you were told.
Months into the war, your father receives news that angers him so much that his yelling and screaming can be heard throughout the castle. Prince Aemond, your betrothed, had married. A strong bastard witch, and to top it all off, she was pregnant. Your father sent ravens to Harenhal that went unanswered. Your father took this as the greatest sign of disrespect.
This was welcome news to you. The betrothal would, of course, have to be called off now. You didn't even mind the insult. Now you would be free to wed someone else. Someone who didn't terrify you. Someone who wasn't actively burning half the realm in anger.
Your father knew it was too late to pull his support for the greens. He had been fighting alongside them for months. But he would not let this disrespect go unchecked. So a plan was put in motion to get rid of the problem. An assassin was paid, and news of the pregnant witches' death spread across the realm. Much to your horror.
When you received the news, you felt sick. knowing that your father would now demand the marriage continue as planned. Thoughts of a woman being murdered to make room for a marriage you didn't even want. the poor woman who was taken as a spoil of war. What choice did she have? Did she love the prince? Did he just not want to father a bastard thus he married her after forcing himself upon her? Did they truly marry? Was she killed for no reason? She received a death sentence all because of the prince's depravity. The same Prince your father was still determined to have you marry.
The war finally came to an end. The Greens having been successful in their reclaiming of Kings Landing. You had heard the story of Daemon Targaryen trying to goad Aemond into fighting him above the gods eye. Daemon was unsuccessful in getting word to Aemond that he was even there. You felt this was another cruel joke from the gods. Trapping you, making all chances to escape your fate impossible. Aemond and Criston Cole instead fought their way back to kings landing and reclaimed the kingdom. Rhanyera was caught and sentenced to death, and Daemon was finally brought to an end when he fell to Aemonds sword when he attempted to free her.
With the news that the war was over, a collective sigh of relief was shared across the realm by everyone. Except you. There was nothing stopping the marriage now, and as a woman and daughter of a lord paramount, there was little you could do to save yourself from the fate that awaited you.
What if the Prince knew it was your father who had his first wife killed? What if he decided to punish you for it? What of the way he had taken that woman as a spoil of war? Was he depraved in the way the king was known for? Would he inflict those depravities upon you?
You again tried to reason with your father, but he would hear nothing of it, especially now that Aegons sons had perished during the war, and he was too injured to sire anymore. Aemond would one day be king and you queen, and your first born son would be king after that. All Borros could see is that his grandson would one day be king. He couldn't be bothered with your silly feminine concerns. So, less than a moons time after the war officially came to an end, you were sent on your way to Kings landing.
The trip was long but nowhere near long enough. You kept asking for breaks, saying you were getting sick from the motion of the carriage trying any excuse to delay your arrival.
That only worked for so long, your brother Royce and your septa had been sent to escort you. Royce had picked up on the fact that you were attempting to delay the inevitable and had lost his patience. He demanded that the carriage only be stopped upon his request, and he did not request it often. All too soon, you were closing in on the Red Keep.
Your septa is whispering in your ear about how you must present yourself. Proper courtesies, etc. Your brother has a look of extreme boredom on his face.
"I hope they have a meal ready for us. I am sick of eating this on the road rubbish" he muses
Your septa gives him a stern look and returns to you flattening out your hair and fussing over your dress.
"She looks fine. He picked her out of all of them, did he not? If he no longer wants her, I have no problem turning this carriage and bringing her home"
Your eyes light up. "We could just turn around now?" You say looking at your brother with a fake smile.
"Your sister may very well be queen someday." Your septa interrupts."Since King Aegon has named Prince Aemond heir, She must carry herself with the dignity of a future queen!"
"Yeah, King Kinslayer and his Baratheon Bride," your brother chuckles as your stomach plummets and your face blanches.
Your septa is taken aback. "Young lord Baratheon, you mustn't speak like that," she leans in whispering. "The Prince is not known for his forgiving manner."
Royce nods to her. " I must be losing my head. This trip was too long, " he laughs while raising his eyebrows.
"Royce, this is nothing to jest at! You very well might lose your head as will I. We should call this off and go home!" You say giving one last desperate attempt
"What a splendid idea! the Prince would love that we agreed to come, and then we do not." he looked at you like you were an imbecile.
The carriage comes to a stop, and you immediately feel a wave of nausea come over you.
"Lord Royce Baratheon and his sister Lady Y/N Baratheon!" You hear the knight call out as the door to the carriage is opened. Your brother steps out and then stands to the side, offering you his hand for your balance. And thank the 7 that he does because you are not currently steady on your feet. When you exit the carriage, the sun feels too bright, the air too hot, your legs too heavy, your dress too tight.
Your septa comes out quickly after you and all 3 of you are staring up at the dowager queen alicent.
"Welcome" she says "I apologize that the king and prince are unable to properly welcome you they are engaged in a council meeting at the moment. Come with me and I will show you to your chambers"
You let out a sigh of relief.
"When will I meet with the king and prince?" Royce asked, his voice carrying an undertone of annoyance.
"At dinner, Lord Baratheon," the dowager queen responded as prim and proper as ever.
You arrived at your chambers bid your brother and the dowager queen farewell and entered. The bedchamber was nice. A bit bigger than the one you had back home. Adorned with red and black fabrics for the curtains and bedlinens. Candles strategically placed so that when lit in the darkness of night, one would still be able to navigate around the chamber. There is a small desk and chair, and a small padded chaise sits before the large window overseeing the gardens.
You sit on the chaise and look out to the gardens. Trying to remember all the dreams you had as a young girl. The Delusions of what being a princess would be like. Maybe you could convince yourself that this new life would be as wondrous as you had imagined all of those years ago.
There is a light tap on your chamber door. It's much too light to be male, so you ask the visitor to enter. In walks a young chamber maid. Her light brown hair braided and coiled onto her head eyes downcast.
"Hello my lady, I am here to help you prepare for dinner"
"Thank you," you respond softly. "What is your name?" You had always had close relationships with the chamber maids back home. Those relationships were a comfort to you in times of high stress.
"Amber my lady" she responds timidly.
You greet her kindly and move to the unpacked chest with the dresses you brought from home.
"I haven't yet chosen a dress to wear, I am quite unsure of which one would befit an introductory dinner such as this, would you help me choose?" You hope that acts like this, where you and your chambermaid work together will help build the foundation for a comfortable relationship. You are about to be alone in the capital and desperately want to have at least one relationship that provides comfort.
"Yes my lady"
The two of you begin sorting through the dresses and Amber pulls out a sapphire blue dress. The dress is fitted at the top and flows out beautifully under the bust. The sleeves are full length but are sheer past the elbows.
"This one will be perfect. Prince Aemond does so like this color"
Your stomach drops at the mention of his name. A stark reminder of just exactly what this dinner is for.
"Do you know him well? The Prince I mean?"
"I don't know if anyone does if I'm to be honest my lady"
You feel the knot in your stomach tightening.
You are quiet for the rest of dressing your mind going a mile a minute with thoughts.
Maybe he is shy? Could a mass murderer be shy? If no one knows the real him, is there a reason he hides it? A sinister reason? A reason his lady wife might be doomed to find out?
You are pulled from your thoughts by another knock on the door. This one is louder. More self-assured. That is certainly a male knock. Would your betrothed walk you to dinner? Could that be him on the other side of the door? You make no moves toward the door. You do not call out. You just stand in place.
Amber stands looking at you and realizes that you are not going to answer the door and answers if herself.
"Good Evening, is the Lady prepared for dinner?" The voice of Royce causes a tingling sensation to go through your body. The relief causing a feeling that borders on euphoric.
"Yes, my lord"
He enters your chambers and smiles at you.
"Come, sister, I am starved!"
You laugh lightly. Royce is the type of personality that is never burdened with fear or worry. He prides himself on his ability to take things as they come and adapt accordingly.
You link your arm around him and he leads you out of your chambers.
"Do you know where we are going?"
"I was shown earlier. I am hoping my memory serves. If not, we shall wander about until we find it or someone comes looking for us. " he laughs, tapping his free hand on your arm.
"Don't be nervous. You are the daughter of a lord paramount and the sister of a future lord paramount. If he does not treat you accordingly you need just let me know ok? You may marry into house Targaryen but house Baratheon will always back you"
You look towards your brother a look of shock and relief on your face. It is very rare that your brother speaks in such a serious manner, but you are thankful for it. The ever protective brother.
"Ahh, my sense of direction serves me once again." He says loudly as you come upon to large doors with two knights standing on either side of them.
"Come," he lowers his voice. "Head high. Show no fear. You are a Baratheon, we cower to no one"
Your brother and you stand before the large doors as the knights open them and announce your arrival.
"Lord Royce Baratheon, Lady Y/N Baratheon"
You and Royce share one last glance and step through the doors.

It was midday, and Aemond had been reading in their chambers after the council meeting when the door opened. She walked into the room and looked around, surprised as if unsure whether she was in the right place. She had been like this as of late, trying to grasp at her memories' first tingle of familiarity.
The prince’s lady wife had lost her memory when she fell off her horse during a riding accident. Her lord husband had been preoccupied with his duties on the King’s council, leaving her on her own most days. She took to the Kingswood with her Sworn Shield, relishing the feeling of the wind whipping at her face as they rode through the woods. Riding was something she had always loved to do as a girl, the memories of racing with her brothers through her homeland a sweet comfort to the foreign atmosphere in King’s Landing.
Perhaps she had gotten too excited, too greedy, when she urged her horse faster and faster until she disappeared from her knight’s midst.
He had found her on the grass, horse nowhere to be found. It was unsure how the lady had fallen, but she had taken a great hit to her head from the impact. She looked like a forest nymph surrounded by bright flowers and green grass, hair falling around her like a halo, only if it weren’t for the streaks of blood that dripped down her temples.
When she had awakened, the princess was greeted by the sight of silver hair and a lone purple eye that watched her with worry. Her eyes shifted to the sapphire lodged into his other socket, curious as to how it got there. He was familiar to her, but she could not tell how she came to know him, her own husband. Aemond’s chest panged with hurt when his lady wife looked at him with a hazy confusion, her quaint voice muttering, “Who are you?”
Since that day, Aemond and his sweet wife had been on the path of trying to regain, or rather rebuild, her memories.
“Hello,” She greeted him meekly. She was so shy to him now, much like she was before they were married. The princess had learned her husband loved her a great deal, and perhaps she shared a deep affection for him too, one that no amount of impact on her mind could erase.
But how do you love a person you scarcely remember?
“Hello, my sweet,” He said to her softly. Aemond rose from his seat to approach her, giving her an embrace as he kissed her forehead. She timidly nuzzled into his arms, breathing in his scent. Teakwood and smoke, a scent that triggered a glimmer of familiarity in her otherwise foggy brain. She had made an effort to know her husband once more, making a mental list of what she liked about him.
'I like it when he holds me like this,' she thought, adding it to her list.
“Is everything alright?” He asked her, pulling away to look at her. Aemond ignored the slight twinge in his heart when she still regarded him with distance at times. He couldn’t find it within him to be cross with her, not when he blamed himself for her accident.
“I am alright, I tried to go for a walk in the gardens, but I… I’m afraid I cannot recall the way. A kind knight helped me back… one of the twins? Oh gods, I cannot remember his name either.” Her brows furrowed while she tried her hardest to remember the knight’s name. She bit her lip in concentration yet to no avail.
“Ser Arryk?” Aemond hinted, to which she nodded in response.
“Right... Yes, Ser Arryk.” She trailed off, seemingly lost in thought. The dragon’s wife would often be like this as of late, a name or a scent would bring about hints of her past life, but as soon as she was able to grasp the memories in her hand, they would slip through her fingertips once more, lost in the blurry sea of her mind. With all her effort at trying to regain at least a single piece of memory, she found herself with headaches at the end of the day. It frustrated her to a great deal.
Aemond knew how hard she struggled, and how much her memory weighed on her. It pained him to see her like this, even more, when he could do so little to help her. He tucked a loose hair behind her ear before cupping her chin.
“Fret not, you will remember,” He reassured her, tone soft and warm.
“We will figure this out, you and I,” The prince promised her, the way he always did, with a determination in his voice and his heart. The idea that she might be lost forever terrified him, but she was still here, in his arms, and Aemond would have her any way he could.
“Thank you husband, for taking care of me,” She took this hand in hers, kissing the back of it in gratitude. At first, she had been wary of showing her affection, not quite remembering how. When she had seen how much Aemond cared for her and showered her with so much love, it didn’t take long for her to realize why her past self loved him greatly.
“Do you have time to walk in the gardens with me? I have been wanting for some fresh air,” She suggested shyly. She spoke so softly ever since the accident. When once she had been bubbly and exuberant, her wit had been replaced by a soft, yet curious wonder equal to that of a timid doe.
“Of course,” Aemond replied, letting her take his hand in hers. He kissed her cheek, soft and sweet, a gentleness to him that was only ever reserved for her. “We can go anywhere you want.”
His lady wife let him lead the way to the gardens. As they walked, she tried her best to remember the twists and turns that led her down the steps of Maegor’s Holdfast. She realized the wrong turn she had earlier, which led her to another wing of the Keep where Ser Arryk had found her.
Tumblr media
“How pretty it is,” Aemond said as they entered the gardens. They welcomed the fresh air that breezed through the open space. The princess hummed in response as she felt a spark of familiarity in her chest of being in the gardens. What she did or who she was with, she could not recall, but that was alright. To see such things and be touched by the affinity of knowing was a good step forward.
They strolled through the gardens, the bright variety of flowers making her feel delighted to be surrounded by such beauty. She ran her fingertips on the ones that interested her, often stopping to smell some. Her eyes trained on a shrub filled with small, delicate blue flowers.
As she stopped, her husband stopped right along with her. When Aemond turned to look at what his wife held in her hands, the sight of a familiar flower took him by surprise. Her favorite ones.
“Those are beautiful,” he said, with an amused smile. The blue spray of flowers was the same one he had gifted her throughout their courtship, a symbol of true and enduring love.
His wife looked back at him with a familiar glint in her eyes. “They truly are, aren’t they?” She said, feeling the velvety surface of its petals against her fingertips. She hadn’t quite realized its significance to her and Aemond’s relationship, but she knew that she liked them.
“Do you know what they are called?” Her lord husband asked curiously. His good eye studied her face as she pondered, a glimmer of hope rose in his chest.
“Forget-me-not,” She answered.
Aemond hummed in response, grinning with delight. They continued to walk hand-in-hand through the gardens, his lady wife swinging their hands. In any other case, he would not have allowed this, the formal man he was, but he let her, seeing the pleasant mood she was in. Conversation flowed between them, comfortable and light. The princess could sense when her husband would mention topics that could trigger her memory, and she tried to indulge him as much as she could.
Aside from the couple that roamed the gardens, some lords and ladies of the court had also taken advantage of the pleasant weather. The sun shone brightly after days of cloudy gloom casting its shadow upon King’s Landing.
The princess felt the stares at her and her husband, more so at her. She had been subject to their gazes ever since the incident. Most would look at her with pity for her circumstances, some with wonder as to how her and Aemond’s marriage still held strong. She did not miss the malicious stares from the ladies her age, no doubt thinking that the prince would soon tire of having to nurse his fragile wife.
Poor Prince Aemond, how ever could he endure having such a blank and empty shell of a wife?
The princess’ free had clutched Aemond’s arm, ducking her head with insecurity as they passed a group of nobles.
“They all stare,” she said lowly. Aemond sighed, caressing the back of her hand on his elbow comfortingly.
“They do,” he said softly. He gave a sharp stare to the people they passed, leading his wife away. It was difficult to discount the looks they gave her, reminding him of his own experience when he had lost his eye. It angered him that they’d be so unkind to his wife, after all she’d been through. “We cannot worry about what they think of us, my love,” he comforted her.
She merely hummed in response, somewhat unconvinced. They continued their walk with her head ducked low, her bright spirit from earlier now dissipated.
Aemond led her to a secluded area, where they sat on a stone bench overlooking Blackwater Bay. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to plant a kiss on her forehead. “You must not let them bother you, dear wife,” he said against her skin. His wife let out a heavy sigh, leaning her head against his.
“Do you not think of me a burden?” She mumbled, fingertips toying with the ends of his starlit hair. The guilt she felt for having imposed such an inconvenience on her lord husband weighed on her heavily. He was a prince of the realm, and he had no time to play healer to his own wife.
“No, never,” He emphasized, looking down to meet her eye. A large, calloused hand cupped her jaw. His thumb caressed her cheek while she leaned into his touch.
“The circumstances given to us may not be the most favourable, yes, but I almost lost you, my love. I would have fought the Stranger with my own sword to have you returned to my side,” Aemond professed. Tears pricked at the corner of his wife’s eyes, her lips quivered from his overwhelming love. A single tear trailed down her cheek but was wiped away in haste by the prince’s thumb.
“What anyone else thinks or feels about you is not our concern. You are my concern,” he asserted, staring at her with adoration. The princess sniffled, before nodding to her husband, a whisper of thanks falling from her lips. Her eyes met his amethyst one, committing the sight of him lovingly in her memory.
Hesitantly, she reached a hand to cup his cheek, before leaning forward to plant a soft peck on his lips. She liked the feeling of his lips, she decided. Her lips planted another kiss on his once more, deep and passionate. They kissed until she was out of breath, having to place a hand on her chest, panting.
In the following days, the princess awakened to a vase filled with blue forget-me-nots on her bedside table. She spent her time by her husband’s side, and when he was away she would indulge in different pursuits that pleased her. Fragments of her past had started to return to her, while some would forever be lost. She did not mourn this loss, for she had found that the new ones she shared with Aemond were filled with the same fondness. Falling for her husband the second time around did not require great difficulty to achieve, not when he made it so easy for her to love him.
