25.04.2024 📖 today's anthy!
i need finish reading this book because i got half way through and i really wanted to look up fanart because everything described sounded so cool but then i got spoiled for the ending of the first book and it just turned me off of reading it 😭 i really like gideon and harrow though and i was enjoying the book a lot !! so im going to give it another try on the train on my way to see my friend. theyr the one who gifted the book to me actually haha

Thank God we have this guy here to explain the premise of the movie in true "as you know bob" fashion, I never would have been able to follow it without him.
I think if the movie couldn't have these things come up naturaally, it would have been better served if it put the space sweeper stuff in it's little text opening rather than having a random guy do it. But he does get his chance to chew the scenery here, so I'm happy for him.

These closed captions are not accurate at capturing the specifc things she's saying -"you always come here when you've just run out of cash" and "That's not enough. I like your magnetic boots"--that I'm suspecting they're translated from another languages subs, rather than taken from her dialogue. The Korean subs perhaps? Or it could be German, which would make the fact it keeps saying she's speaking in German.
Great to know that hoh people are getting sloppy incoherent closed captions! God forbid Netflix pour their pile of gold into fixing this!

So uh. she is not actually saying anything in German here. She's saying "dammit stupid piece of SheeeeIT" in English. The closed captions are on a different plane of reality, good for them.
Anyway, what I actually was going to say is that it makese sense to me the first white person we see in this film is screaming incoherently at malfunctioning tech rather than responding to anyone like a normal person, def a fave pasttime of ours.
